Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

One could imagine the psychological pressure if they stayed with the criminals they killed.

No. 19 was even supporting himself in a pool of blood. Blood seeped through the camouflage fabric. No. 19 could feel how thick and sticky the blood was.

The 30 intern soldiers who entered the village each had their own combat positions. They completed the peripheral encirclement and provided cover and support to their comrades who went deep into the combat.

No. 26, No. 18, and No. 16 guarded the battlefield with the most concentrated firepower. Xia Jinyuan, who had brought his soldiers to support them, rushed over with a dark expression. He was going toward the three intern soldiers who had been fighting till their hearts were beating like drums. The more they fought, the braver they would become. The more they fought, the less afraid they would be.

”No. 18, position!”

Even his voice was cold and sharp through the earpieces. No. 18 immediately reacted and told him the location.

”How are the other three?” Xia Jinyuan asked again.

He couldn’t contact Ye Jian, White Crane, and Weaver. He could only find out through the three intern soldiers.

No. 26 replied, ”Azure Bird will take care of two firepower points and cover Weaver and White Crane as they enter the combat. No. 18, No. 16, and I will guard the rear. Although the firepower is dense now, it’s all within control.”

Knowing that this was their first overseas combat, Ye Jian and the other two didn’t dare to let them attack together. They just needed to guard the back and not let the three of them fall behind.

Xia Jinyuan looked at the direction. He was definitely not far away.

Gunshots kept echoing in the sky. The veterans of the Xueyu unit, who were experienced in combat, gathered all the extremists in one direction, away from the safe zone.

Mobile combat in another country was a huge matter, especially when it was done without other countries knowing. It had to be resolved as soon as possible.

Xia Jinyuan, G3, and K7 rushed over from the left. On the right, there were intern soldiers attacking with firepower. They smashed into the mud house where the leader was.

In the mud house, the leader was around 40 years old. He was wearing a black cap and traditional local clothes as he sat on a gorgeous wool felt blanket. He closed his eyes and listened to the dense gunshots outside. There was no panic on his face.

He kept muttering something. They didn’t know what he was saying. Kneeling in front of him were two extremists, who were also wearing the traditional clothes of Gistan. Like the leader, they were muttering something under their breath as well.

As the gunshots became more and more intense, the leader raised his hand and said in a sinister and cold voice, ”Go, our brave warriors.”

The two kneeling people prostrated again as if they had completed a baptism. It was a solemn action, but there was a cold and trembling viciousness.

As they got up, red dots flashed in their wide traditional clothes—suicide bombs.

The two of them got up and walked out. They didn’t walk out. Instead, they walked into a room. They didn’t come out after entering.

This was a room with a pointed roof and round earth walls. Although the walls were mottled and peeling, it was the largest private residence in the entire village. There were earth walls around it. The people outside couldn’t see inside, and the people inside couldn’t see outside either.

There were people guarding the four walls. Because they occupied the high walls, Ye Jian and the rest had a hard time attacking. They couldn’t break through the walls even after a few strong attacks. Now that reinforcements had arrived, the three of them could retreat to the side.

”Let’s take a break. Our comrades are here.”

Weaver lay beside Ye Jian. He was sweating profusely. He raised his hand to wipe his sweat. He was wearing a short-sleeved shirt, and his arms were sweating too. However, the more he wiped, the more sweat there was. In the end, he simply lifted his clothes, revealing his strong abdomen, to wipe his sweat.
