Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

He and Ye Jian were in charge of bringing up the rear. They alternated with K7 and G3 to cover the retreat of the intern soldiers.

”Roger that,” E6 said calmly. He stared at the target in front of him who was starting to reveal more than just half his head. White Crane fired the first shot in the fierce battle while E6 fired the last shot.

The trigger was pulled, and the bottom of the bullet was ignited. The bullet fired from the gun barrel dragged the tail of the fire, tearing the air outside into two and heading straight for the target.

Bang!

The half of the head that appeared was blown up. A faint smell of blood wafted to E6’s nose as the night wind blew. He continued to lie on his stomach, motionless as if he had melted into the night.

After the last shot was made, the small village at the border of Gistan finally regained its peace. Outside, the four herdsmen who were rescued grabbed the hands of the special forces soldier who was in charge of protecting them as they left the village. They were so excited that they didn’t know what to say.

The wind from Tianshan Mountain blew past the village at the border of Gistan. It blew away the smoke that enveloped the village, but it couldn’t blow away the strong smell of blood.

The special forces soldiers retreated out of the village and cleaned up the dead extremists.

The wind blew, and the stars in the sky were still shining brightly. As time passed, there was movement in the quiet border village. The villagers of Gistan slowly walked out…

The special forces soldiers from the Xueyu unit, who were walking from the village to the frontline, saw the fire at the foot of the mountain. It was a fire that was made from pouring oil on dry grass. As soon as the sparks touched it, it started burning. The fire lit up a wide area. They could even see the roofs of the surrounding rooms.

”Not a bad idea,” T6 said with a smile. His voice could be heard on the channel.

V8 said calmly, ”If we don’t leave now, the pursuers will be here soon.”

It would take three hours to return to the border from the village. They had to hurry.

The low laughter of the team members came from the channel. The intern soldiers were the loudest.

There was not much communication between them anymore. The group of 46 people made use of the time to return to their country.

The 46 special forces soldiers crossed the steel bridge of the Ukersh River at 1:36 am. At 1:38 am, all the members crossed the bridge. No one was sacrificed.

The 30 intern soldiers from the Xueyu unit finally felt that they were on solid ground. They didn’t feel like they had gone overseas to fight.

They didn’t rest and continued moving forward. When they were about to reach the border defense company, Xia Jinyuan gave an order. Everyone could finally sit down and rest.

After three consecutive days and two nights of non-hibernation mobile combat, the physical fitness of the special forces soldiers, including the veterans, had reached their limits. After sitting down, none of them wanted to get up.

The 30 intern soldiers sat together while the 16 veterans sat together. Ye Jian didn’t sit down immediately. Instead, she whispered to Xia Jinyuan, ”Help me treat the wound on my back. I jumped down from the high wall and was scratched by a sharp stone.”

Xia Jinyuan turned on the miniature flashlight in his hand, and the expression on his handsome face changed.

”Follow me.” He bit his cheek and didn’t say anything else. He held Ye Jian’s hand and walked away.

The tired comrades weren’t paying much attention. Only E6, who was closest to them, looked up and glanced at their interlocked hands. Although he found it a little strange, he didn’t think too much about it.

The intern soldiers were resting. Most of the veterans sized them up. Some veterans reminded them to treat their abrasions in time to avoid inflammation.

They would definitely get some abrasions. The veterans’ reminded them to check their own injuries first. If they couldn’t reach their wounds, they should ask their comrades to help them.
