Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian looked down slightly. She looked at the bag that Qin Xiu handed over and frowned.

She didn’t reach out her hand. After taking a look, she looked up and looked at Qin Xiu calmly with her clear black eyes. She said distantly and politely, ”No need. I’m not cold. Thank you.”

His slender hands held the two thin ribbons of the bag tightly. Qin Xiu looked at Ye Jian calmly. After a while, a helpless smile appeared on his handsome face.

”Ye Jian, you don’t have to be so vigilant against me. I ate and drank for free at Grandpa Fu’s house when I was young. Grandpa Fu often bought toys for me.

”I received so much care from Grandpa Fu. Now, I’m just repaying his kindness. You don’t have to… think that I have bad intentions.”

”You’ve misunderstood me. I don’t mean that. The one who took care of you is my grandpa. It has nothing to do with me. My grandpa once told me that you often went to the hospital to take care of him when he was sick, so you don’t have to take care of me. Thank you.”

As she spoke, Ye Jian bowed sincerely to show her sincerity to Qin Xiu.

She was really thanking him sincerely. Back then, she hadn’t returned to the Fu family yet. Her grandpa was seriously ill and had to undergo three rescues. The first two times, her eldest cousin was by his side. The third time, he was rescued and sent back to the military unit. It was all thanks to Qin Xiu that her grandpa was able to survive the third rescue.

When she returned to the Fu family, it had only been less than two months after his discharge.

This was the ’thank you’ she owed Qin Xiu. It could be said that she was very late.

Qin Xiu didn’t need such an apology. He just didn’t want to see her sick. He just wanted to express his concern.

But obviously, Ye Jian didn’t need it.

It was understandable. If she could, she wouldn’t even want him to appear in front of her.

Qin Xiu was a little angry.

However, because of his self-restraint, he didn’t show it on his face. He took back the bag that hadn’t been taken from him for a long time and placed it naturally on the side of his arm.

He asked her, ”You still want to avoid arousing suspicion, right? Do you really… want to go to this extent? I can’t even… show the most ordinary concern, even if it’s just as a friend?”

”Yes, you can’t.”

After he finished speaking, Ye Jian immediately replied without any hesitation. She replied directly and firmly, ”Ambassador Qin, I thank you for your concern and thank you for treating me as a friend. However, I’m sorry that I can’t accept your concern.

”That’s because I can’t accept the concern of an adult man who clearly has feelings for me. I’ve already rejected you. I can’t be ambiguous.

”Since I’ve rejected you, I need to reject your concern and kindness. I can’t reject your kindness while claiming that you and I are friends and accept your concern and gifts with a clear conscience.

”I’m sorry. I think it’s immoral and irresponsible.”

Qin Xiu was speechless…

He was angry, but he couldn’t get angry. It was immoral and irresponsible to accept the care and gifts of a guy who had confessed to her… This was the first time he heard of it!

This was the first time he knew of it.

Was that really the case?

Did he misunderstand or did she misunderstand?

Ye Jian rejected him and didn’t plan to continue talking to Qin Xiu.

In order to come back to see her as soon as possible, her man risked his life to set up a trap. He was still lying in the hospital. It was immoral for her to accept the concern of a man who was interested in her!
