Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian tilted her head and glanced at him. Did G3 want to say that stabbing Captain Xia’s chest with a dagger was the opportunity to gain Cobra’s trust?

”There’s a man called Luke beside him. He’s a subordinate that Cobra trusts. He might be from the Russian Signal Flag military unit and has been lurking for five years. Luke’s motive might be the same as our captain’s, but he failed to gain Cobra’s trust even after five years. Although the other party saved Cobra many times, he lived well each time and never came close to death.”

G3 spoke slowly. Ye Jian listened to him quietly. She knew the answer to her own question. She understood how ruthless her man was to himself.

”Azure Bird, in order to complete his mission as soon as possible and return to our side, our captain used the most dangerous plan.

”You have to believe that he will definitely come back. All of us believe in him, including K7. He stabbed his dagger into the captain’s chest because he knew that the captain wouldn’t let anything happen to himself.”

Ye Jian also understood how much the man she loved and respected loved their country. He loved it so much that he was willing to use his blood to find the power that was harmful to the country’s defense.

”Luke is the captain’s hope. That’s why we didn’t kill him. The captain asked him to climb up the rock so that he could be saved. All of us worked hard so that the captain could complete his mission and come back.

”We’re very sorry about what happened tonight. We hid the last step of the entire combat plan from you. I’m sorry, Azure Bird.”

G3 spoke in a low voice. He told her why Xia Jinyuan did this and why they cooperated with him. He also told her that when they knew the last step and rejected it, Commander Xia said to them, ”This is an order from your captain. This order is to hand his ’life’ to you. You can choose whether you want to obey or reject it.”

Their captain had placed his ’life’ in their hands. How could they reject him?

They couldn’t.

Hence, they all accepted it.

In order to accurately stab Captain Xia’s chest, K7 was the one who did it..

As it turned out, there was another step in the plan, which was to let K7 meet the captain in advance and practice first. That step was skipped because Azure Bird was around. The captain was afraid that she would discover the plan.

Ye Jian’s heart hurt even more when she heard that. This time, she didn’t let herself cry. There were no tears in her eyes, but her heart was bleeding.

The more her heart hurt, the more she bled. There was so much blood that the taste of blood rose in her throat.

This was his mission. He needed to investigate the power behind Cobra. He needed to have more evidence. Her Captain Xia would use his ’life’ to complete this mission.

He was risking his life for his mission while she waited for his return.

She spat out the bloody cotton ball in her mouth and stuffed a new one into her mouth. She bit into it. Ye Jian looked at G3 and tried her best to smile. ”I believe that he’ll definitely come back. He’ll never do something he’s not confident in.”

She was too calm. Besides the time when she spat blood on Q King, Azure Bird had always been calm. She calmly said that she would walk on her own. She was so calm that she kept walking quickly without ever falling behind. Now, she was looking at G3 so calmly and saying something with a faint smile.

G3 wasn’t happy because of this. He was a little flustered.

”Azure Bird, cry if you want to. You don’t have to bear with it in front of us.”
