Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

His guess caused General Minlai to remain silent for a while before replying, ”I’ve been in contact with China for 15 years. What I know is that China is very cautious. You’re saying that they sent professional soldiers with weapons into our country illegally. China has never done such a thing.”

General Minlai had thought through every sentence carefully. Every sentence had a deeper meaning. He just didn’t know if Cobra had thought of it.

”Also, I’ve had a phone conversation with the Chinese border defense. They said that they haven’t received news of Chinese female soldiers being kidnapped. They also didn’t receive the so-called photos you mentioned.

”Mr. Cobra, are you sure that you saw Chinese female soldiers… Were they really Chinese female soldiers? We didn’t find any cameras or film at the event location.”

Since the other party thought that everything he said was impossible, Cobra didn’t have to help General Minlai analyze it anymore. Cobra raised his hand and rubbed his temples. He replied tiredly, ”I don’t know if they’re Chinese female soldiers anymore. I only know that the three women spoke Chinese.”

”A female soldier who can speak Chinese might not be Chinese. A female soldier wearing a Chinese military uniform might not be a Chinese female soldier. If the Chinese said that no female soldier was kidnapped, everything will remain as a guess.”

General Minlai’s expression was very serious. He knew that Cobra’s analysis was not impossible. However, if he admitted that Qin Maosheng really kidnapped Chinese female soldiers in front of Cobra, Cobra would have something on him.

He knew that Qin Maosheng kidnapped a few Chinese female soldiers, but he couldn’t admit it.

If the Chinese side didn’t mention it, he couldn’t mention it either. Otherwise, the Chinese side might have a conversation with Myanmar. At that time, the political enemies in China who wanted to pull him down would know that he was cooperating with the Burmese mafia, Qin Maosheng. In the end, he would be the one at a disadvantage.

Now that he had lost a huge amount of money, he was heartbroken. However, there was still Cobra. The drug chain under Qin Maosheng was still there. If he controlled the entire chain and cooperated with Cobra, he would be able to get his military expenses very quickly.

Thinking about this, General Minlai immediately gave up the thought of secretly investigating if it was done by the Chinese. Whether it was or not had nothing to do with it.

Cobra didn’t think about this. Kidnapping government soldiers wasn’t a big deal to him. He had done it many times.

Since General Minlai didn’t think that the kidnapped female soldiers came from China, there was no need to be stubborn about something that had nothing to do with him.

Thus, Cobra stopped talking about the Chinese female soldiers and cleverly mentioned their future cooperation. ”I urgently need a batch of goods now. I wonder if you have the time to sit down and talk to me about it?”

General Minlai, who wanted to make up for his losses as soon as possible, smiled after listening to the translation. He stretched out his hand and pointed at the couch in the room, indicating for them to sit down and have a good talk.

He asked the personal guard beside him to pour two glasses of red wine. They clinked glasses before starting to talk.

One needed to leave Myanmar safely while the other needed to make up for their losses. Neither side mentioned Qin Maosheng again. Why waste everyone’s time on a fellow that no longer existed?

The entire cooperation process was very pleasant. At the end, Cobra made a small request. He took out a photo from his pocket and placed it on the coffee table. ”General, this is a very good partner of mine. He’s also an old friend of mine. He’s Chinese.

I lost contact with him when he returned to China a year ago. I want to ask you to help me investigate and see where my old friend went. I know that he’s from the Chinese capital. His Chinese surname is…”
