Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

He didn’t hear wrong. The entire village was indeed filled with gunshots. He didn’t know where they came from. He only knew that people were shooting.

The special forces soldiers from the Xueyu unit, who had taken over the open and covert sentries, retreated quickly. There was no need to guard anymore.

Once the other party informed the sentry post that there was no response, they would definitely understand what was going on. Then, the sentry post would become their firing point.

That was true. When they realized that there was a problem with the covert sentries and the open sentries, Qin Maosheng’s subordinates, who were shooting randomly, started shooting at the sentry posts that belonged to them.

The moment they moved, another machine gun that was occupied spat out flames.

Bang, bang, bang…

The machine guns and bullets were fired continuously. The sound was different from the point-blank shots. Even though they were far away from the firing point, the sound was enough to make people not dare to approach.

”Hide! Hide! Don’t come out! They have machine guns!”

”Hurry up and retreat! Retreat! Danger! Danger!”

Amidst the sound of machine guns, Qin Maosheng’s subordinates shouted at the top of their lungs. Their faces and bodies were stained with someone’s blood. Bullets flew past them like shooting stars and hit someone beside them in the next second.

”Retreat. Retreat.”

No one dared to rush into the mountain anymore. Someone stared at the position where their machine guns were supposed to be. He raised the gun in his hand and fired continuously.

However, there were still people who rushed into the mountain. They needed to let some people into the mountain. If not, they wouldn’t have an excuse to attack Cobra and cooperate with Xia Jinyuan’s plan.

They mustn’t let Cobra know the true motive of the Xueyu unit. That way, they would be able to confuse Cora.

Hearing the sound of machine guns firing, Cobra’s thin face turned dark. The entire village was filled with the sound of bullets. He couldn’t leave by car even if he wanted to. He could only escape into the mountains.

He was forced to make the decision to escape into the mountains.

Cobra, who always forced others to make choices, was very unhappy. He was unhappy that there were people still rushing toward him. He took the rifle he picked up and fired at them as if he was venting his anger.

The bodyguard beside him saw this and allowed his boss to release the anger in his heart.

K7, who was guarding the muzzle of the machine gun, was scratched by the cement fragments that flew out from the wall. Blood seeped out of the shallow wound. He set up the machine gun and started firing blindly in the direction where the bullets came from.

Screams sounded. Countless people fell to the ground and wailed.

This was a war. Whoever had the initiative would be the one plundering lives.

The village was about to be razed to the ground, but Xia Jinyuan needed to escape with Cobra first. He couldn’t kill the fellow that couldn’t be killed.

Ye Jian, who was sneaking toward the wooden house again, picked up a rifle and laid down. She used the night-vision equipment provided by the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade and stared intently at the figure retreating into the mountain.

”Cobra has already retreated into the mountains. It’s about time. The number of people who escaped into the mountains is about the same. There can’t be more. After all, they were all carrying weapons when they escaped. They’re familiar with the mountains.

We have to be wary of them placing guns behind our backs,” Ye Jian told her comrades.

”Roger that.”

”Roger that.”

”Entering the finishing line.”

”Okay, we’ve already started retreating into the mountains.”

An unfamiliar voice was heard. The scout from the Cloud Leopard Commando Brigade said in a low voice, ”If we force them into the mountain, we can force them to the top of the mountain. There’s a rock there. Below the rock is a cliff. We came from the side of the mountain.

”If they’re forced to the edge of the cliff, they can’t escape even if they want to.”
