Chaotic Sword God

Chapter 3912: The Ancestor of the Wind Clan

Jian Chen used the power of the Divine Armour of Heavenflight to hide. Meanwhile, the ten Immortal Exalts led by the Heavenloss Master either set off alone or moved off in groups. They searched the mountain peak of the Skyscraping World for Jian Chen.

The concealment ability of the Divine Armour of Heavenflight was far too perfect, so no presences or flaws remained. It was traceless. As a result, with no other choice, the Immortal Exalts who searched for Jian Chen were forced to repeat the same trick. They attacked the space or the ground, producing terrifying storms of energy to influence the surroundings and forcing out everything hidden around them.

There was no peace on the top of the Skyscraping World any more. Energy storms on the level of Immortal Exalts erupted everywhere.

At the same time, the Heavenloss Master began recruiting others on the mountain peak. He sought assistance from all the Immortal Exalts who had reached this region. They searched for Jian Chen’s traces together.

By now, basically ninety percent of all the Immortal Exalts that entered the Skyscraping World had reached the mountain peak. They were scattered in different regions, making preparations to seize the seed of ways.

Originally, they had no interest in partaking in the Heavenloss Master and Jian Chen’s conflict. They were reluctant to get involved in any unnecessary trouble.

However, when they heard how Yang Yutian had killed great elders of the Immortal Feather sect and was also the Chang Yang that the Immortal Feather sect was after, some of these Immortal Exalts who originally wanted to remain uninvolved began to develop other motives.

“If I capture Yang Yutian, not only will I be able to earn a favour from the Sword Sect of Yang Soul with the Spiritual Fruit of Sword Nurturing, but it’ll also be a great deed if I hand him over to the Immortal Feather sect…”

“Now, the Sword Sect of Yang Soul has already allied themselves with the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance. They’re different from before. I’ll have to offend Yang Yutian, but I’ll be able to befriend both the Sword Sect of Yang Soul and the Immortal Feather sect at the same time. If I handle it well, I might even forge a tie with the Heavenly Palace of Great Radiance. Now this is a worthwhile deal…”

“The heavenly resources from the medicinal gardens are all on Yang Yutian. Sigh, obtaining the heavenly resources from Yang Yutian is different from provoking these peak organisations…”

......

…

Faced with various temptations, some of these Immortal Exalts immediately cast aside their qualms that came from the daughter of the heavenly emperor, Xing Caijian. They left their original spots and joined in on the search for Jian Chen.

At the same time, three Immortal Exalts gathered together in a thick bush on the mountain peak. Their faces were sickly pale, and their presences were feeble. Clearly, they were heavily injured.

Among the three Immortal Exalts, one of them was the Crouching Peace Master who had tried to rope in the city lord of the Immortal Rising City, Immortal Exalt Tan Yu, outside the Skyscraping World.

Another person was Zhou Yunzhuang who had the Three Lives Reincarnation Fruit stolen from him.

“Many Immortal Exalts on the mountain peak have already joined in on the operation to capture Yang Yutian. This person ruined everything for us earlier. He also played a certain role in the loss of the Three Lives Reincarnation Fruit.” Zhou Yunzhuang ground his teeth. Then he looked at the Crouching Peace Master and said, “We shouldn’t spare him. Since he’s already become a target for all, we should take part in this as well, Crouching Peace.”

The Crouching Peace Master sighed gently when he heard that. “I too am deeply pained by the loss of the Three Lives Reincarnation Fruit, but this is simply due to our strength and luck. We shouldn’t push the blame onto fellow Yang Yutian.”

“Sigh, if he had been slightly cooperative back then, I would have been able to escape with the Three Lives Reincarnation Fruit. Vice cult leader Lan Caidie of the Ghost Immortal cult would have never found me.” Zhou Yunzhuang fumed.

The Crouching Peace Master stared at Zhou Yunzhuang strangely and said earnestly, “Brother Zhou, that’s a kid who even has the courage to kill great elders of the Immortal Feather sect. Tell me, for what reason should he have cooperated?”

“Furthermore, he even had the courage to steal the Three Lives Reincarnation Fruit right in front of Lan Caidie. I don’t know what happened afterwards, but I heard that Lan Caidie has already decided to side with Yang Yutian.”

“Think about who Lan Caidie is. With the recognition of an extremely powerful Remains of the Ghost Immortal, her strength cannot be understood through regular logic. Even someone like her failed to gain the upper hand against Yang Yutian. Do you think Yang Yutian is someone simple?”

“Hmph, the reason why vice cult leader Lan was willing to help Yang Yutian must have been due to Xing Caijian. After all, who in the Immortals’ World doesn’t know that the Heavenly Star Palace is the Ghost Immortal cult’s greatest backing?” Zhou Yunzhuang still felt aggrieved.

“Regardless of the reason, I don’t recommend becoming involved in this mess. If the Three Lives Reincarnation Fruit is lost, then it’s lost. All that matters is we preserved our lives. I just feel like the opening of the Skyscraping World this time will be more brutal than any before. The seed of ways hasn’t even appeared yet, and several Immortal Exalts have already gone missing. Some say they’ve already died. Sigh…”

......

…

“Sure enough, all of the medicinal gardens on the mountain peak have been harvested by Xing Caijian.” At this moment, Jian Chen appeared before one of the medicinal gardens on the mountain peak by hiding himself with the Divine Armour of Heavenflight. Looking at the fertile, hole-ridden soil, he could not help but let out a sigh.

At this moment, a pulse of energy appeared in the distance. Jian Chen immediately pulled back his gaze and used the secret technique from the Skyscraping Sword Venerable, observing the surroundings through the spiritual Qi. Sure enough, he discovered an Immortal Exalt several thousand kilometres away making his way over while searching. He attacked the surroundings constantly, producing waves of energy. Wherever he passed by, the ground was reduced to a mess. All of the vegetation was annihilated.

It was a Third Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt. Jian Chen had no plans on facing him, so he silently left under the cover of the Divine Armour of Heavenflight.

Afterwards, Jian Chen constantly changed locations on the mountain peak. Because more and more Immortal Exalts searched for him, coupled with the relatively smaller area of the mountain peak, there was no place that was absolutely safe.

Even if he hid in a remote location that people rarely visited, he would encounter an Immortal Exalt who left no stone unturned before long.

Jian Chen remained in a single spot for no longer than twenty-four hours on the mountain peak.

As a matter of fact, he had to switch multiple hiding spots in the span of an hour at one time.

If it were not for the secret technique from the Skyscraping Sword Venerable that gave Jian Chen the advantage, he would have been forced out a long time ago by the wild barrages of these Immortal Exalts even if he had the Divine Armour of Heavenflight.

At this moment, an old man in black robes sat on a mossy rock somewhere on the mountain peak. His eyes were shut as if he was cultivating.

At this moment, a violent pulse of energy swept over from afar, forcing the old man to circulate his energy and block the incoming storm.

“Still nothing? This Yang Yutian sure is hard to find. If I had that treasure that could conceal my presence, probably all of my enemies in the Immortals’ World would be shaking in fear.” A murmur rang out from nearby. A middle-aged man in white robes appeared three hundred metres away from the old man in black robes. He gave off the presence of a Second Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt.

“Apologies, fellow Chen Feng. Please forgive me.” The middle-aged man in white robes apologised to the old man on the mossy rock three hundred metres away. He spoke extremely politely.

“It’s not a problem. I’ve already grown used to it. As soon as Yang Yutian got here, the entire region became a mess. Sigh…” The old man in black robes called Chen Feng waved his hand without minding and sighed gently.

“You can only blame him for possessing far too many valuable items. Who wouldn’t be tempted by all the treasures he carries on him? Moreover, capturing him might even lead to connections to a court of heaven like the Immortal Feather sect. This is just too great of a deal to pass on.” The man in white chuckled. He did not try to hide his objectives.

“Fellow Chen Feng, would you like to search for Yang Yutian with me?” After a pause, the man in white invited Chen Feng.

“I’m not in the mood for that right now.” Chen Feng was rather stern. “The two great elders who accompanied me into the Skyscraping World have already been missing for many years. I can’t contact them no matter what. Only recently did I finally confirm that they had already died.”

“Something like that has actually happened?” The man in white robes was surprised. “Just who in the Skyscraping World has the courage to kill the great elders of your Wind clan? Who doesn’t know that the Mistress of Contrary Winds of your Wind clan might reach the Seventh Heavenly Layer at any moment?”
