The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1409: Chapter 1409: Sect Master Meng? That’s my junior fellow apprentice.

”What a coincidence, meeting again!”

Carson Flores casually greeted, but ignored the palace-dressed young woman, his gaze landing on the middle-aged man.

The middle-aged man sized up Carson Flores, unable to see through his depth, and frowned, ”Alice Harrison, who is he?”

Alice Harrison said in a low voice, ”He’s the one who rescued the Steele girl, and the one next to him is the Steele girl. She destroyed the map, but she must remember it in her head.”

A spark of sharpness flashed in the middle-aged man’s eyes, he nodded slightly but did not ask further. He walked forward directly.

Alice Harrison, not content, glared at Carson Flores and quickly caught up with the middle-aged man, whispering, ”Uncle Master, are we going to do nothing?”

The middle-aged man responded indifferently, ”Anyone who comes to celebrate Eastflow Ancestor’s birthday is certainly not a nobody. We’ll probe his background first, and moreover, he has been with that girl for several months. He must already have the map by now. Hurrying now is pointless and might arouse more suspicion.”

Alice Harrison nodded her understanding, whispering, ”You mean we should make a move later, Uncle Master?”

The middle-aged man nodded, ”We’ll see, if we can kill that man, that would be best. If we can’t kill him, we’ll find an opportunity to kidnap the girl. The location still needs some time to open. It’s useless for him to have the map now. As long as we can get a copy of the map, we can compete with him for the opportunity.”

Alice Harrison spoke respectfully, ”I’ll follow Uncle Master’s lead.”

Behind, Carson Flores watched the two leaving figures, pondered for a moment, then turned and said, ”Let’s go.”

Since he had come, he would at least present the gifts, partake in the banquet, and then leave.

Carson Flores was led into the banquet hall by a disciple from the Supreme Heaven Sect. Eastflow Ancestor, with the youthful appearance and white hair of a crane, dressed in a festive red robe, sat high and graciously received the guests with a smile.

A disciple from the Supreme Heaven Sect shouted at the door, ”White Crane Immortal Sect, Carson Flores has come to celebrate!”

The middle-aged man and Alice Harrison, who had already entered the hall, frowned upon hearing the disciple’s announcement.

”That kid is a disciple of White Crane Immortal Sect? No wonder he was so bold before?”

The middle-aged man, watching Carson Flores, whispered, ”We’ll see.”

Carson Flores was led before Bryan Gross, and after presenting his gift, he cupped his hands and said, ”White Crane Immortal Sect’s Carson Flores wishes High Cave Master eternal fortune and longevity!”

Bryan Gross’s gaze fell on Carson Flores, slightly curious. His own connection with White Crane Immortal Sect was there; if Lance Matthews couldn’t come himself, that was fine, but why send a young kid?

”This young friend, is Sect Master Lance your...?”

Carson Flores smiled and said, ”My junior nephew.”

Bryan Gross uttered an ”oh,” and laughed, ”Sect Master Lance’s junior nephew? Hehe, is the Sect Master doing well?”

Carson Flores corrected, ”Sect Master Lance is doing very well. Also, High Cave Master, you might have misunderstood; I meant that Sect Master Lance is my junior nephew.”

Bryan Gross’s smile suddenly froze, ”You are Sect Master Lance’s Uncle Master?”

The room also grew abruptly quiet, everyone’s gaze falling peculiarly on Carson Flores.

Sect Master Lance’s Uncle Master?

The Supreme Elder of White Cloud Immortal Sect?

Carson Flores explained, ”My master is Bank Austin of Heavenly Sword Peak. By seniority, I am the junior uncle of the Sect Master. Since he’s been rather busy lately and can’t split himself to come celebrate, he asked me to come in his stead.”

The disciple of Bank Austin!

Everyone’s eyes suddenly widened.

”Didn’t Bank Austin leave the Thunder Immortal Realm long ago? Where did this disciple come from, and so young at that?”

”A disciple of Bank Austin; considering his seniority, he indeed holds the highest in White Crane Immortal Sect, being the junior uncle of this generation’s Sect Master. Hehe, so young yet with such high status, what a respectable identity!”

”A disciple of Bank Austin, now I remember, not too long ago there was a big uproar between White Crane Immortal Sect and the Supreme Heaven Sect, a fight broke out all because of him. In the middle, Carson Flores was ambushed by the Supreme Heaven Sect, and a Peak True Immortal from their sect was directly killed by Carson’s Sword Qi, utterly destroyed both in body and spirit...”

”One move to kill a Peak True Immortal? Could he be a Golden Immortal?”

”How could that be? They say he is quite young, in his thirties? He just Ascended from a Lower Realm called Barbaric Wilderness not so long ago...”

”A Human Immortal? One move to kill a Peak True Immortal, are you serious?”

The surrounding people were abuzz with discussion. Meanwhile, the middle-aged man and Alice Harrison’s expressions changed.

Actually a disciple of Bank Austin!

No wonder he was so arrogant. Regardless of his strength, with his status and seniority, the entire White Crane Immortal Sect was his strong backing. With such connections, who wouldn’t be arrogant in the territory of the Skylance Dynasty?

Alice Harrison whispered apprehensively, ”Uncle Master, this guy has quite the background, what should we do?”

The middle-aged man withdrew his gaze from Carson Flores, speaking calmly, ”He must have already obtained the map from that girl, and presumably doesn’t care much for her life and death. When they’re about to leave, I’ll find an excuse to approach Carson Flores and draw him away. You then take the chance to act and kidnap the girl.”

Alice Harrison nodded, ”White Crane Immortal Sect is powerful. If we confront them alone, it might be tough. Shall we call on a few other Sects to join us?”

The middle-aged man pondered for a long while, ”That’s a good idea. Carson Flores has the map, and White Crane Immortal Sect will surely be involved. It indeed might be difficult to face them alone. I will talk to them, this is a good opportunity to square off against White Crane Immortal Sect...”
