The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1406: Chapter 1406: Growth-Type Sword Spirit Body?

When Spencer Steele reappeared before Carson Flores, she was no longer in a sorry state, clad in a green robe that made her look delicate and heroic.

She was young, but she possessed a calmness that surpassed her age.

She knelt down directly in front of Carson Flores: ”Benefactor, thank you for saving me. If it weren’t for your intervention, I would be dead by now.”

Carson Flores replied: ”Stand up, and recount everything that happened.”

Spencer Steele swiftly got up and detailed the calamity that had befallen the Steele Family meticulously.

She did not hide the matter of the special map, which was said to indicate the location of an enormous opportunity, the kind that could transform one completely and lead to Ascension in broad daylight. The Steele Family Head had come across the map by chance, but once the news leaked, it brought about a fatal disaster.

Several Sects joined forces to plunder it, and the Steele Family was completely annihilated, with only Spencer Steele’s grandfather managing to escape with her. They were pursued all the way until they encountered Carson Flores. Otherwise, the matter would have concluded with Spencer Steele’s death.

”Benefactor, I can redraw that map for you. I only ask for one thing in return: please teach me formidable skills so that I can avenge my family.”

Carson Flores asked, ”I inquired before why you wouldn’t just let me directly kill your adversaries, why didn’t you agree?”

Spencer Steele pursed her lips, her expression hesitant.

Carson Flores smiled, ”Just speak what’s on your mind.”

Spencer Steele said, ”Firstly, I truly wish to personally take revenge for my family. Secondly, if at that time, Benefactor, you had taken revenge for me, I feel that after you had killed them, you would no longer pay attention to me...”

Carson Flores inwardly sighed at how smart this girl was; she had completely grasped his mindset at the time.

If Spencer Steele had asked him back then, he would indeed have killed all her enemies for her, but afterwards, he surely would have found her a safe place to live and then departed on his own.

Carson Flores nodded, ”So?”

Spencer Steele bit her lip and stared into Carson Flores’ eyes: ”I want to become stronger. I hope to have a reason to stay by Benefactor’s side and learn more powerful skills. Not just to avenge my family, but also so that I never have to experience such an event again.”

Carson Flores still didn’t comment on her words, but instead asked, ”I heard them say you have a Sword Spirit Body?”

Spencer Steele nodded, ”Yes, but my Sword Spirit Body is a bit peculiar. When I was young, I had my Spiritual Root tested. Back then, it didn’t show that I had a Sword Spirit Body. But when I was in my teens, I found I had a unique understanding of the sword. By chance, I was tested again, and it turns out I had become a Sword Spirit Body...”

Carson Flores was quite curious. Isn’t talent innate?

Can a Sword Spirit Body also be formed later in life?

That’s just too strange.

Spencer Steele continued, ”By the time we discovered it, it was already quite late. My family also considered sending me to a Great Sect to become a disciple, in the hopes of joining a Great Sect. But because my Spiritual Root was so peculiar, everyone decided to observe for another two years. But then, that delay has lasted until now...”

Carson Flores asked, ”And the result of the observation?”

Spencer Steele answered, ”Over these two years, I’ve been tested every once in a while, and the conclusion we’ve come to is that my Sword Spirit Body was formed later in life, and as time goes on, the talent of the Sword Spirit Body becomes more apparent, and the test results get better and better...”

A Growth-Type Spiritual Root?

Carson Flores was also surprised. Is there such a thing?

Carson Flores didn’t have a Magic Artifact to test the Spiritual Root, but he had his own method: ”What’s your current level of strength?”

”Initial Spirit Transformation Stage.”

Lin Che then asked, ”How old are you?”

”Sixteen, just turned.”

After Spencer Steele answered, she paused to reflect and then added, ”Previously, my progress in cultivation wasn’t fast, I wasn’t considered a genius, but in recent years, my strength has improved by leaps and bounds, specially fast. I guess it has something to do with my Sword Spirit Body.”

Sixteen years old, at the Initial Spirit Transformation Stage?

Her progress still isn’t fast?

Carson Flores was left speechless. What would a sixteen-year-old be doing in the Mortal Realm? What are those in the Barbaric Wilderness Realm doing at sixteen? What level could they reach?

”I will teach you a move. Let’s see if you can comprehend it. Remember, I will only teach it once, and you’re not allowed to ask about it later.”

Spencer Steele’s eyes lit up, and she instantly tensed up.

She vaguely understood that the moment that would decide her fate had arrived.

If she could comprehend the Sword Technique taught by Carson Flores, then perhaps it would be destiny. If she couldn’t, then perhaps it would be another fate entirely.

”Alright, Benefactor, I will give it my all.”

”Follow me.”

Carson Flores took Spencer Steele to a clearing in the mountains and began to teach her the First Move of the Heavenly Sword, Breaking Wind.

Yes, Carson Flores didn’t resort to any Low-level Sword Technique to test her. Isn’t she said to possess a Sword Spirit Body?

If she could comprehend the First Move of the Heavenly Sword, it would prove she really is powerful. If she couldn’t, then this Sword Spirit Body wasn’t much to speak of.

He wasn’t born with a Sword Spirit Body himself, had tempered his body to form Sword Bone, and it didn’t take him long to comprehend the Breaking Wind either, right?

An Innate Sword Spirit Body should naturally have more talent and advantages than his artificial one, should it not?

It’s not possible that the genuine article is inferior to the counterfeit, right?
