The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1001: Chapter 1001: The Fairy, Is a Woman Too

The Immortal pursuing Cristopher Hopkins was actually a woman?

No wonder the light and radiance made it impossible to discern her features, and she even spoke in a man’s tone. Was it because she didn’t want people to recognize her?

Well, since a woman made the move, there is nothing surprising about it.

Carson Flores thought, ”The Immortal’s Primordial Spirit that is chasing us has descended to the Lower Realm? How long can she stay in the Barbarian Wilderness Realm?”

The jade hand wrote, ”At most three months.”

Carson Flores heaved a sigh of relief, ”Right now, she must be frantically searching for us all over the world. Considering how desolate and uninhabited this place is, why don’t we hide here for three months? After three months, once her Primordial Spirit returns, we can then think of a way to find the rest of your body?”

”Agreed!”

Carson Flores breathed a sigh of relief and said softly, ”We’ve survived for over ten thousand years, so what’s a little more time? Safety first, we have to make sure we’re secure.”

Cristopher Hopkins’s cooperative attitude allowed Carson Flores to breathe another sigh of relief.

Despite having the capability to dominate, she wasn’t haughty, and her gesture of introducing herself first showed ample friendliness.

”Anyway, with nothing else to do, let’s hide here for a while. I’ll take this opportunity to study Finlay Murphy’s Ground Shrinking Technique; if we really run into trouble, I can at least escape faster.”

Seeing that Cristopher Hopkins had no objections, Carson Flores hesitated before saying, ”Fairy, it’s not really appropriate for your hand to be resting on my shoulder the whole time. Should I find you a place to rest? If someone sees you, wouldn’t that be troublesome?”

The jade hand stayed silent for a while, then gently wrote a single word.

”Agreed!”

Carson Flores let out another sigh of relief. He had to admit, having an arm constantly draped over his shoulder was quite unsettling, despite the limb being flawlessly beautiful and very attractive.

Carson Flores took out a small magical treasure and infused it with Spiritual Energy. The treasure instantly transformed into a small pavilion with a luxurious couch, surrounded by dancing light veils with Runes flickering on them, sending out waves of cool breeze.

”Fairy, please rest inside.”

The jade hand picked up the brush and wrote again, ”Thank you. If something happens, don’t worry about me. I’ll be at your side.”

The jade hand put down the brush, floated into the small pavilion, and settled on the soft couch, even rolling around a couple of times, seemingly very pleased with the surroundings.

Even fairies are women, after all.

Carson Flores muttered to himself, put away the paper and brush, and no longer paid her any attention. He sat down cross-legged and began to fathom the Sigil Patterns left in his mind by Finlay Murphy.

Even though those Sigil Patterns were already branded deep within Carson Flores’s mind, if he studied them for too long, he would still feel dizzy and nauseous.

As Carson Flores concluded another session of study, patting his chest and gasping for air in discomfort, the hand flew out from the couch. The slender fingers, like green onions, directly tapped on Carson Flores’s forehead.

A rush of coolness instantly surged into Carson Flores’s brain. All the negative feelings were swept away, leaving his mind astonishingly clear.

She was helping him!

Carson Flores expressed his gratitude joyfully and then quickly closed his eyes, taking advantage of the clarity, and continued his study.

This time, the Sigil Patterns in his mind were clearer than ever before.

Carson Flores gained a great understanding.

After concluding his study, Carson Flores opened his eyes, contemplated for a while, and stepped forward, Sigil Patterns flashing.

Carson Flores’s body vanished in an instant.

When he reappeared, he was already at least three kilometers away, at least three to four times faster than his previous speed!

And that was while Carson Flores only had the strength of the Nascent Soul Realm. Once he gained more power, his speed would increase even further!

As Finlay Murphy had said, the ultimate speed of the Ground Shrinking Technique is one step that traverses the void, spanning over mountains and seas, without leaving a trace.”

At Carson Flores’s current Realm, he could only be considered as barely entering the threshold. Of course, this was relative. Even for a Hollow Void Stage Expert Cultivator, Carson Flores’s speed was already alarmingly fast.

With this session of enlightenment, three months had passed.

”Fairy, it has been three months now. That woman’s Primordial Spirit should have returned to the Immortal Realm, right? We can start moving again. Let’s first see where we are...”

Before Carson Flores could finish speaking, Cristopher Hopkins’s hand flew over and rested on Carson Flores’s shoulder.

Carson Flores gave a wry smile, ”This way, you’ll be seen by others...”

Before he could finish speaking, the hand floated up, fingers moving through the air for a moment, and then Carson Flores was astonished to see no trace of the hand on his shoulder anymore.

It had actually become invisible.

Immortals are indeed something else, even a mere hand could be so impressive. Are ordinary Immortals this powerful too?

It doesn’t seem like it.

People like Franklin Wyatt are also of Half-Immortal Bodies, but aside from being more powerful and living longer than Cultivators, they don’t seem to have anything else that stands out.

No matter what, it being invisible is good enough; as long as others can’t see it. Otherwise, if it were to be exposed, wouldn’t I be doomed?

It was a good thing he had parted ways with the Lam Family and, from the start to the end, the Immortal chasing Cristopher Hopkins hadn’t seen Carson Flores’s face. It was a stroke of luck amidst misfortune; otherwise, the Nutwood Heavenly Cave might be overturned by Immortals by now.

Carson Flores flew toward the west for half a day, still not out of this desolate black wasteland.

Wondering, a huge Flying Boat came swiftly towards him, prompting joy in Carson Flores, who moved to meet it, hoping to ask for directions.

The Flying Boat arrived in a flash, and as Carson Flores recognized the people on it, his expression suddenly changed.
