The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 905: Chapter 905: How about you take the lead for us?

”How will you be affected if your Yin Cover is damaged?”

Yin Yunsheng replied, ”It’s alright, it will take some time to cultivate back. It’s an auxiliary secret technique in itself, and right now I’m just a little weakened.”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Just follow us later, and try not to take any action.”

Yin Yunsheng pointed towards the bottom of the canyon, ”There’s a giant cave about three miles ahead, not far from that formation. The Demonic Beasts that didn’t rush into the formation are all staying at the entrance, as if they are guarding something.”

Kash Lam asked, ”Why haven’t these Demonic Beasts rushed into the formation?”

Yin Yunsheng shook his head, ”Perhaps they are stronger and wiser, with greater resistance to the pressure of the dragon’s roar, or maybe the True Dragon has made other arrangements for them, not wishing to claim their lives.”

Kenzo Conley pressed on, ”Are they all Great Demons?”

Yin Yunsheng shook his head, ”They haven’t transformed, so it’s hard to judge, but they seem to be at least at the True Form Realm.”

Low-level Demon Race with undeveloped intelligence are no different from wild beasts, collectively called Demonic Beasts, which are rampant throughout the Barbaric Wilderness Realm. They have an extremely strong reproductive ability, and even in the several states ruled by humans, there’s still a vast number and formidable combat power.

As Demonic Beasts grow in strength, their intelligence increases. Once they form their inner core, they truly become Demon Cultivators, that is, bona fide members of the Demon Race.

The four realms of forming a core, transforming, attaining true form, and becoming a Great Demon correspond to the Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Divinity Transformation, and Hollow Void Realm of Human Cultivators.

During the transformation phase, Demonic Beasts can take on human form, but this does not mean that any Demonic Beast has the ability or conditions to transform, as the conditions for transformation are difficult to meet. Thus, many Demonic Beasts, even at the Great Demon stage, still retain the appearance of beasts.

Because of this, Transformative Great Demons are obviously much more formidable than ordinary Great Demons. After all, once they have transformed, Great Demons can use various powerful magical treasures just like Human Cultivators. They can even combine their unique Demon Race characteristics to refine their most powerful parts into super potent Life-bound Magic Treasures.

”How many are there?”

”About twenty or so.”

Yin Yunsheng replied, ”I took a distant look at that cave; inside there’s a huge passage leading underground. My Yin Cover couldn’t avoid those Demonic Beasts, so I couldn’t go down to check...”

Kash Lam speculated, ”Do you guys think that the remains of the True Dragon might be underground in the canyon, beneath that passage?”

Lainey Dragon replied, ”Very likely! But the entrance is blocked; we can’t get in.”

Carson Flores pondered, ”If we could temporarily draw them away, we might be able to slip in...”

Carson Flores stopped speaking and looked up into the distance, ”Someone’s coming!”

A dozen or so people flew quickly close to the ground and then landed on a towering tree.

Kash Lam clenched his teeth, ”Seems like we’re not the only ones with guts.”

Carson Flores said in a deep voice, ”Just wait. If there’s a chance, we’ll take it; if not, we’ll wait.”

Everyone had no objections; after all, the Demonic Beasts guarding the cave entrance were too strong, and a direct conflict was out of the question.

Time passed, and more and more members of the Human Race and Demon Race arrived on both sides of the canyon. Carson Flores even spotted the white-garbed Violeta Herrera, leading a large group of Demons to the opposite side of the great canyon.

All were trying to scout out the area below, none daring to rashly descend, as the sight of countless Demonic Beasts launching off the cliff to their deaths was too frightening.

”Bryant James!”

Carson Flores was watching a team on the other side when he suddenly heard Lainey Dragon’s voice.

He turned in surprise and saw Bryant James standing on a nearby tree branch, looking over coldly.

”You guys are quite bold; seems like you haven’t lost many. Lucky you.”

Kash Lam laughed, ”If you dare to come alone, why should a group of us be afraid?”

Bryant James sneered, ”So you’re just planning to keep on watching here?”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Why don’t you lead the way for us?”

Bryant James gave a cold smile, ”Sure, as long as you’ve got the guts, then come on and follow.”

Carson Flores’s eyes narrowed slightly, ”You’re planning to go down?”

Bryant James nodded, ”Someone’s got to lead.”

Carson Flores gave a thumbs up, ”Brave! You go ahead, I’ll back you up.”

”Come on then!”

Bryant James leapt into the air, boldly descending into the mist below.

Kash Lam smacked his lips, ”I always feel like this guy is up to no good. Our relationship with him isn’t good enough for him to be paving the way for us.”

Carson Flores said solemnly, ”Bryant James is extraordinarily strong, and who knows how many magical treasures he has on him. He must have something to rely on. Let’s go, we’ll follow from a distance and see what tricks he plays.”

The group took to the air, following behind Bryant James.

At the same time, several other groups, both Human and Demon, also took flight, plunging into the midst of the clouds.

The scouting efforts of everyone during this period had all but confirmed that the remains of the True Dragon were likely underground, and the cave was very likely the passage to the location of the True Dragon’s body!

Having come this far, everyone had to take a chance!

With someone leading the way, now was the time to seize the opportunity in the chaos and charge in!
