The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 637: Chapter 637: With a Sword in Hand, Three Feet Invincible_1

”Stop right there!”

Seeing Carson Flores poised to draw his sword and start slashing at the first sign of disagreement, Duke Reid and Gregory Pearson immediately panicked, shouting loudly at him. However, they realized it was completely ineffective, and a look of terror appeared in their eyes.

”We’ll pay! We’ll compensate!”

”We admit defeat!”

Carson Flores stopped in his tracks and stared at the two men indifferently. He remained silent, but his sword playfully twitched in his hand.

Duke Reid reluctantly took out a Flying Sword and said with a pained expression, ”This is the Flying Sword I bought for two hundred Spirit Stones. I’ll give it to my junior brother as a meeting gift.”

Carson Flores didn’t really care what they offered; he just wanted to teach them a lesson. After all, had his strength not been sufficient, he would have been bullied by them today.

Blackmailing them didn’t weigh on his conscience.

Carson Flores picked up the Flying Sword, examined it, and casually tossed it into his Space Ring. His gaze then fell on Gregory Pearson: ”What about you?”

Gregory Pearson inwardly groaned, weighing his options, and brought out one hundred Spirit Stones with a bitter face, ”These are the Spirit Stones I’ve painstakingly saved for a long time...”

Carson Flores mercilessly accepted them. He had seen far too many people like these, who bullied the weak but feared the strong.

If they couldn’t win, they seemed more pitiful than anyone else; if they could win, they were more ferocious and wicked than anyone.

”Thank you for the meeting gifts, senior brothers. Let me treat the two of you to a drink.”

Carson Flores casually tossed a bottle of tea to each of them as a ”return gift”. Duke Reid and Gregory Pearson instinctively caught it, exchanging glances that were full of bitterness.

A Flying Sword and a hundred Spirit Stones for just these two lousy drinks?

They were crying over being extorted, weren’t they?

Their inner rage was blazing, but they dared not show it. After all, to them, Carson Flores looked like he could easily bully them both.

A wise man does not suffer losses before his eyes!

Wait until they find Senior Brother Gu to see how he deals with him!

Senior Brother Gu had long desired a good cave residence, but all the ones upfront were either unapproachable or they didn’t dare to claim for fear of retaliation. Now that there was finally a newcomer, how could they miss such an opportunity?

The two men turned and left. After walking a good distance, Duke Reid spat water onto the ground.

”Damn it, we miscalculated. This guy turned out to be stronger than we thought. What level of strength do you reckon he has?”

Gregory Pearson thought for a moment, ”We’re both at the Foundation Establishment Early Stage. He must be at the Foundation Establishment Mid Stage or Late Stage. It can’t be the Golden Core Realm, can it? After all, with the thin Spiritual Energy outside, how could it be the Golden Core Realm?”

Duke Reid agreed, ”Then we’ll find Senior Brother Gu. He’s at the Foundation Establishment Late Stage, and his Combat Power is strong. Taking down this kid will surely be a piece of cake for him.”

Gregory Pearson concurred, ”We have to make him return what he extorted from us, and then extort something from him too. We can’t let all our efforts be for nothing.”

Duke Reid snorted, ”As long as Senior Brother Gu gets the cave, he’ll surely reward us. Let’s go find Senior Brother Gu!”

Gregory Pearson twisted open the beverage in his hand, took a sip, and blinked, ”You know what, this stuff is actually quite good...”

Duke Reid gave Gregory Pearson a disdainful look, ”Don’t be so pathetic. It’s just a worthless bottle of water. He must have lots of it. Later, when we get him, we can take as much as we want.”

Gregory Pearson pouted, ”But it tastes really good. Don’t you believe me? Try it yourself.”

Duke Reid, at a loss for words, unscrewed the cap and took a big gulp, smacking his lips, ”Hmm, it is indeed quite good. Let’s take more later, let’s go!”

Standing at the mouth of the cave, Carson Flores watched the two leaving figures and found himself without the heart to continue cultivating.

The reason he dared to turn the tables and extort the two men was partly because they had provoked him, and partly because he considered he had significant backing here in the Nutwood Heavenly Cave. If others bullied him, wouldn’t that be a slap in the face to Delaney Hunter and Daxton Campbell?

Strike first and worry about it later; heaven wasn’t going to fall!

He might as well go to the Front Mountain Market.

Just as Carson Flores was about to set out, he sensed something and turned his head to look toward the distant mountains, at the house on the edge of the cliff—Delaney Hunter’s residence.

There seemed to be a woman standing at the edge of the cliff, staring in his direction.

When Carson Flores looked over, the woman floated away from the edge of the cliff and entered the house.

Qingling?

Or perhaps, Peak Master Delaney Hunter?

She must have witnessed the fight between him and Duke Reid, and Gregory Pearson. Did she have any thoughts about it?

Never mind, it didn’t matter. They were the ones who bullied their way to his doorstep; he certainly couldn’t just grovel and yield.

Time to check out the market.

Meanwhile, in the little house above the cliff, Peak Master Delaney Hunter walked back into her courtyard and lay down leisurely on a recliner by the stone table, her posture lazy but teasingly seductive.

She played with a basket on the stone table filled with various snacks and soon pulled out a pickled chicken foot. Casually rolling up her sleeve, her fair and slender hand grabbed the chicken foot and started nibbling at it.

Qingling chuckled, ”It seems someone is giving him trouble, should we intervene?”

Delaney Hunter laughed lightly, ”Even if he’s not so committed to cultivation, he’s genuinely at the Golden Core Realm. How could those people bully him? Besides, I noticed when he parried the Flying Sword just now, it was smooth and elegant. It’s quite interesting.”

Qingling playfully teased, ”One sword in hand, a ruler of three feet’s space, isn’t that your signature move, Sister Delaney? Are you thinking of taking on a disciple?”

Delaney Hunter, with no regard for appearance, spit out a chunk of chicken bone and replied, ”He’s nominally Wilson Weiss’s disciple. Wilson Weiss is my master’s peer. I really can’t take him on as a disciple...”
