The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 615: Chapter 615: Openly Repair the Walkway, Secretly March to Chencang_1

”If Carson Flores does not show up, I’ll ensure that Emilio Compton doesn’t kill you all. If he does appear, convince him to hand over the Water-Fire Mirror, and I’ll ensure his safety... How about that?”

Kaenu Hail didn’t beat around the bush and directly stated his purpose for coming.

Leah Frost looked at Kaenu Hail in shock. Was he helping Carson Flores?

”Mr. Kaenu, you and Carson Flores...”

Kaenu Hail candidly replied, ”I had a meal alone with Carson Flores at the previous Zhouzhou gathering.”

Leah Frost asked with confusion, ”As far as I know, Mr. Kaenu doesn’t seem to have any ties with Carson Flores. Why would you want to go out of your way to help him?”

”Just a favor,” Kaenu Hail said with a smile. ”Carson Flores’s father, Westin Flores, comes from the Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven and is one of the outstanding younger disciples in the mountain. Naturally, he has his Sect and elders above him. I am very likely to join the Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven. If I save Carson Flores’s life, it would certainly be a favor owed by Westin Flores. This favor might become a support or a shortcut for me, giving me more options.”

Kaenu Hail was so upfront about it that Leah Frost immediately understood, yet she was still curious, ”They come from the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens and are Cultivators. Will they listen to you?”

Kaenu Hail smiled slightly, ”Didn’t you just say it? I’m the strongest person in Zhouzhou. Even if they are Cultivators from the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens, without the dense spiritual energy to support them outside of their Blessed Land, their abilities are but a moon reflected in a well or a flower in the water. In a fight, I have the advantage.”

Leah Frost inhaled sharply, silently praising his formidable nature.

This title of the strongest in Zhouzhou is indeed not for nothing!

”If I manage to contact him, I will convey your goodwill, but as for his choice, I can’t influence it, nor will I try to influence it.”

Kaenu Hail smiled slightly, ”Based on my understanding of Carson Flores, as long as he knows you all have been captured, he will show up. You don’t need to worry about your family’s safety. I will persuade Emilio Compton to not harm the Frost Family Members for a period of time, as long as Carson Flores does not appear.”

Leah Frost nodded and sincerely expressed her gratitude, ”Thank you, Mr. Kaenu.”

Kaenu Hail waved his hand dismissively, ”We’re just helping each other out, no need for formalities.”

In the blink of an eye, two days passed.

Emilio Compton’s face was very grim, while Nikolai Jimenez and Elise Parry seemed relaxed.

Elise Parry’s mobile phone screen suddenly flickered.

She picked up her phone, and there was a message on it.

”As we chased the trail, we lost it. We could only follow the previous path roughly forward and just discovered a cave. The entrance was sealed with a large stone. Looking at the fresh traces in the soil, it must have been done in the last two days. Ordinary people can’t even lift that big stone, so we suspect that Carson Flores is hiding in the cave. Should we investigate first, or wait for you to come and check together?”

Elise Parry thought for a moment and replied, ”Leaving here would raise suspicions on my side. Carson Flores’s strength has not yet reached its peak. The two of you teaming up should be enough. Go ahead and investigate. If it is Carson Flores, don’t waste words, just kill him directly, take the Water-Fire Mirror, destroy the corpse and erase any traces, and then head straight back to the Sect.”

”Received!”

Elise Parry casually deleted the message, keeping a composed face as she glanced at the two people next to her, full of anticipation.

Her decision was indeed wise.

She pretended to let them return to the Sect first but had them secretly search for traces. Tracking through the woods, she didn’t expect that they would actually find it!

If he is really in the cave, then the Water-Fire Mirror will quietly fall into her hands.

Just keep waiting, you all.

Don’t worry, I’ll keep you company, watching you all become desperate and go mad.

...

Inside the cave, Carson Flores sat cross-legged on the ground, motionless.

”Boom!”

A loud noise suddenly came from the entrance; the huge stone blocking the entrance shattered into countless pieces, and two figures appeared at the mouth of the cave.

They stepped into the cave, stopping in front of Carson Flores, effectively blocking the entrance.

”Our luck is really good, we actually found it!”

”Haha, we’re definitely going to be credited with a great achievement this time. The Sect will surely reward us handsomely, perhaps even promote us to Inner Sect Disciples!”
