The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 616: Chapter 616: Something’s Wrong with This Kid!_1

Alonzo Howell and Franco Butler were very excited.

Heaven-sent merit!

In the Sects of Cultivators, there are basically three ranks: Outer Sect Disciples, Inner Sect Disciples, and True Disciples. Outer Sect Disciples are those with moderate talent, raised in a decentralized manner. Inner Sect Disciples are those who have pledged allegiance to a master within the Sect who is eligible to take on disciples. True Disciples are the disciples of the Sect Master or core members of the Sect.

The status of Outer Sect Disciples is the lowest, Inner Sect Disciples are held in high regard, and True Disciples are the treasures of the Sect, the potential future leaders.

Elise Parry is an Inner Sect Disciple, her master being a Second Generation Disciple within the Sect, not particularly strong but with a respected identity and background. The two of them were mere Outer Sect Disciples, followers of Elise Parry. This time, Elise Parry went out on a mission and took them with her.

The two men’s gazes landed on the Water-Fire Mirror resting quietly in Carson Flores’s embrace—the very item they sought.

Carson Flores opened his eyes and looked at the two calmly, ”Who are you?”

Alonzo Howell sneered, ”You’ve got quite the nerve to be playing tricks under the watch of the three Blessed Lands of Cave Heavens. You’re really courting death!”

Carson Flores asked, ”You’re pretty fast to have found me. What do you plan to do now?”

Franco Butler grinned ferociously, ”Stop the nonsense, die.”

Franco Butler stepped forward, punching towards Carson Flores. Simultaneously, Alonzo Howell took a side step, effectively blocking the cave entrance to ensure Carson Flores had no chance of escape.

However, Carson Flores had no intention of fleeing. He didn’t even stand up; he simply sat there and stretched out his hand to block Franco Butler’s punch, just as he did the day he fought Rylan Hoffman, using his flesh palm.

”Cultivator?”

Carson Flores, feeling the spiritual energy fluctuations of the punch, raised an eyebrow slightly, ”Too bad, this isn’t a Blessed Land of Cave Heavens.”

Franco Butler’s face changed drastically, a bad premonition rising in his heart.

”Something’s off about this kid, let’s go at him together!”

Upon hearing this, Alonzo Howell’s expression changed and he no longer blocked the entrance. He charged forward, swinging a punch while Franco Butler also started an attack from the other side.

This time, Carson Flores extended both hands.

”Pop!”

The fists of Alonzo Howell and Franco Butler simultaneously struck the palms of Carson Flores, causing a burst of intense spiritual energy.

Carson Flores’s hands shrank back slightly.

Both men showed a flash of triumph on their faces. However, the next second, Carson Flores’s bent arms suddenly pushed outward.

Alonzo Howell and Franco Butler felt a tremendous force emanate from Carson Flores’s hands, sending their bodies uncontrollably flying backward.

”Boom!”

The dull impact caused the entire cave to seem to shake. The spot where Alonzo Howell and Franco Butler hit burst open, and both slammed deeply into the rock.

Both men spat out blood simultaneously, their faces immediately paled, and their eyes filled with terror.

What kind of strength was this?

They were easily grievously wounded despite joining forces against him, like a grown man effortlessly tossing two crawling babies aside without even trying!

Carson Flores stood up, stowed the Water-Fire Mirror into his Space Ring, and walked towards the duo.

”We are Cultivators from the Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land. If you dare kill us, Miss Parry won’t let you off the hook!”

”Yes, hand over the Water-Fire Mirror right away. Miss Parry will spare you, taking you into the Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land. From then on, you’ll be a Cultivator with backing, instead of a wandering, lost soul!”

Realizing the cold murderous intent in Carson Flores’s eyes, they immediately changed their approach, one trying to scare him, the other trying to tempt him.

As long as Carson Flores agreed to hand over the Water-Fire Mirror, they thought they could pretend for now, and once back in the Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land, they could deal with him however they wanted, shaping his fate as easily as molding clay.

Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land?

Carson Flores said indifferently, ”How did you find me? How was my identity leaked?”

”The night you took the Water-Fire Mirror, all the frozen things began to melt, and Miss Parry and others noticed something was wrong. After some inquiring, the Hoffman Family members identified you, saying they had seen you before. They just didn’t expect that you...”

Marco Hoffman!

It was indeed him!

Carson Flores sighed. It was an oversight, but it couldn’t be helped. In such a public place, he couldn’t just quietly kill Marco Hoffman.

Even if he wanted to, he didn’t have the power.

”According to your agreement, the Water-Fire Mirror should belong to the Eastern Peak Sanctuary of the Sacred Mountain, right? It has nothing to do with your Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land, does it?”

Alonzo Howell replied, ”Officially, yes, but everyone was looking for it privately. We were planning to find you, take the Water-Fire Mirror, and then head straight back to our Sect. That way, no one could say it was ours, right?”

Carson Flores scoffed, ”Steal the Water-Fire Mirror, kill me, destroy the evidence, and from then on, no one would know, and the Water-Fire Mirror would completely fall into the hands of your Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land, correct?”

Alonzo Howell forced a smile, ”That was indeed the plan, but you’ve already proven your strength. You can totally join the Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land.”

Carson Flores scoffed and continued walking forward.

Alonzo Howell suddenly became frantic and called out, ”You can’t kill us! We have the Frost Family members in our hands...”
