The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 617: Chapter 617: Make Them Bleed More, Then It’s Worthwhile

Frost Family Members?

Carson Flores’s expression changed drastically, as murderous intent surged in his eyes.

”You’ve kidnapped Frost Family Members?”

Alonzo Howell quickly clarified, ”It wasn’t us from Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land who captured them. It was Emilio Compton from Eastern Peak Sanctuary of the Sacred Mountain. He ordered the Hoffman Family to do it, as they planned to use the Frost Family Members to threaten you into handing over the Water-Fire Mirror.”

Carson Flores demanded in a deep voice, ”Which people did they capture?”

Alonzo Howell answered, ”It’s your mother’s branch of the family, everyone from your maternal grandparents down, they are now under the watch of the Hoffman Family.”

The Hoffman Family!

Carson Flores’s eyes brimmed with a chilling killing intent—it really was a path that led to a dead end, one that they would not abandon without tasting death.

”Where are Emilio Compton and the others right now?”

”They are waiting for you at the Lakeside Camp. Miss Qu and Nikolai Jimenez are also there.”

Carson Flores asked coldly, ”What about Kaenu Hail?”

”He’s there too.”

Alonzo Howell dared not withhold any information: ”There’s no signal in this cave, and they can’t contact you. They are all waiting now. As soon as you step outside the cave and turn on your phone, they’ll be able to reach you.”

Carson Flores sneered, ”So they’re waiting for me to fall into their trap and send the Water-Fire Mirror back to them, right?”

Alonzo Howell, fearing Carson Flores might lash out and kill them, said anxiously, ”We’ve already sent a message to Miss Qu. You don’t have to kill us, unnecessarily gaining another enemy. What you should be considering right now is how to deal with Emilio Compton and how to save the Frost Family Members.”

Carson Flores thought for a moment, walked forward, took out their phones, and then walked straight out of the cave.

Two insignificant underlings, to kill or not to kill was not important. He might as well spare their lives for now, as it could be used to drive a wedge between the Spiritual Ruin Blessed Land and the Eastern Peak Sanctuary of the Sacred Mountain.

Rescuing the Frost Family Members was the priority.

Groveling and begging for mercy—that was out of the question. Otherwise, anyone who wanted to oppose him in the future would just need to kidnap the Frost Family Members to force his hand, right?

Only blood and death could instill fear in people’s hearts, making them think twice before scheming, weighing if they could bear the cost!

Make an example of one to warn others!

The Hoffman Family made quite a hefty chicken to slaughter!

And as for the Eastern Peak Sanctuary of the Sacred Mountain?

The Water-Fire Mirror that I seized by strength—why should I just hand it over?

If you dare to take it, I will kill you!

Carson Flores stood in the sunlight, took out his phone, and called Leah Frost.

The call connected.

”Carson?”

Carson Flores asked calmly, ”Aunt Leah, I’m aware of the Frost Family’s situation. What’s the current status?”

Leah Frost answered succinctly, ”They’re in Xijing, controlled by the Hoffman Family. When the Hoffman Family’s Great Grandmaster came, they swarmed us, moving out in full force. It happened so suddenly we didn’t have a chance to escape, and afterwards, I was brought here to the lakeside...”

Carson Flores raised his eyebrows, ”You’re at the Lakeside Camp?”

”Yes!”

Leah Frost answered in a low voice, ”There are many people here, don’t come, just run away, pretend you know nothing about this...”

”Aunt Leah!”

Carson Flores cut off Leah Frost’s words, replying decisively, ”Don’t worry. I caused this trouble, and I’ll settle it.”

Leah Frost became anxious, ”Are you coming?”

Carson Flores affirmed, ”Of course, I’m coming.”

Leah Frost fell silent for two seconds before speaking, ”Kaenu Hail came to me...”

Carson Flores paused, ”Hmm?”

Leah Frost relayed Kaenu Hail’s words, ”I’ve thought it over repeatedly, and I believe he wasn’t lying.”

Carson Flores hummed in acknowledgment. He already knew that Kaenu Hail had dealings with Mount Kahdas Cave Heaven, so it made sense, and more importantly, Carson Flores didn’t have to pay any price.

If Carson Flores decided to flee, Kaenu Hail would help protect the Frost Family Members. Should Carson Flores come, Kaenu Hail would save his life.

Carson Flores chuckled, ”Since he said so, after this matter is settled, I’ll have a good talk with him. ”

Given that Kaenu Hail wanted to ascend Mount Kahdas and was seeking a favor from Westin Flores, Carson Flores didn’t mind lending a hand, asking him, in turn, to convey some messages to his parents.

Leah Frost, hearing the relaxed tone in Carson Flores’s voice, thought he had made a decision, ”Have you decided to hand over the Water-Fire Mirror?”

Carson Flores chuckled, ”No. I’m planning on wiping out the Hoffman Family, then crushing that Emilio Compton underfoot, and asking him why the Water-Fire Mirror, an ownerless object, can be taken by him, but I cannot?”

Leah Frost’s eyes brightened, ”Has your strength increased again?”

Carson Flores spoke earnestly, ”Aunt, I’ll come save you, save the Frost Family Members, but if they use you to threaten me...”

Leah Frost interrupted Carson Flores directly with a clear and decisive remark, ”Don’t worry about me, and don’t let the fact that we’re in the hands of the Hoffman Family people influence you in the slightest. A Frost Family Member’s life is not more noble than that of someone from the Hoffman Family or Emilio Compton. If they’re all not afraid of death, what is there for us to fear?”

”If just capturing the relative of a powerful person could threaten that person into doing anything, even walking to their death, then cultivation would be meaningless. Xiaoxi once said, you shouldn’t bow your head to anyone for any reason. If the other party uses underhanded schemes to make her bleed, you don’t need to worry about her. Just make sure these people bleed more, and then it will be fair!”

Carson Flores smiled, ”Good. Tell Kaenu Hail to ensure your safety, nothing else matters. I’ll owe him this favor... Aunt, wait for me!”
