Three Towers Game

Chapter 425: Chapter 136: Arriving at the Orange Vortex_6

Wen Xishu smiled and said:

”Since you are willing to come, I won’t force you.”

Heading towards the vortex is equivalent to entering the Deceit Tower. Based on past data, the mortality rate is extremely high.

So everyone is very clear, including every team member who has already started battling the vortex...

They are gambling with their lives.

Fortunately, Yue Yun and others had the chance to follow Wen Xishu, which increased their survival chances.

But Wen Xishu always chose the most difficult tasks, which also increased the mortality rate, so in the end, it was hard to say whether it was harder or easier.

But for Yue Yun, there was no reason to hide in the safehouse while ordinary people, non-academy individuals were fighting for their lives...

Nissen and Xiaojin felt the same.

Wen Xishu said:

”Let’s go.”

A team of six quickly left the safehouse, beginning their official mission to annihilate the great devourer.

Wen Xishu led the way, fully aware of each vortex’s range because he had been constantly observing the safehouse’s imagery.

As the leader, Wen Xishu’s steps were swift, so fast that people feared he might make a mistake.

At this moment, the scene outside the safehouse was chaotic...

Even under the arrangement of professionals, residents from the lower and second floors were being directed to the lift to the third level for emergency refuge...

But there were still quite a few people, out of greed, afraid they might be too late and be swallowed by the expanding vortex... So they cut in line or chose what they thought was the shortest route to the queue inspection area for the lift.

Chaos has a domino effect; once someone starts to act chaotic... it triggers even more chaos.

As a result, many people deviated from the planned routes and were ultimately sucked into the vortex.

Fortunately, although there is a recommended number of people for the vortex, it does not reject others from entering due to excess numbers.

Wen Xishu looked at this chaotic second floor, feeling no emotional waves inside.

He knew very well what humans are capable of doing to survive.

And he was very clear that such situations would occur not just in the Bunker but even in his previous life.

The best method was to dismantle the great devourer as quickly as possible.

Even in the queue inspection area at the lift entrance, there would be unruly acts but they happened to encounter Xun Hui.

Xun Hui chose to directly kill those acting out of line. Heads hung by the lift door, which instantly improved the order in the lift area.

Xun Hui and Wenren Mirror were also assigned to the white vortex assault.

The two even thought of competing with the old principal and that senior, to see who could eliminate more vortices.

Wenren Mirror looked at the huge orange vortex in the sky:

”That vortex... its expansion speed is too fast. I suppose a lot of people have already died inside?”

Xun Hui said:

”What, you want to go?”

Wenren Mirror shook his head, smiling:

”Each has his specialty, let’s leave that thing to Wen Xishu.”

Xun Hui sensed the faint joy in Wenren Mirror’s heart:

”You seem quite happy? Quite a few people are dying right now.”

Wenren Mirror said:

”It’s something we can’t change. I also have my desires and selfishness, Xun Hui. I hope Wen Xishu becomes a hero.”

”If Wen Xishu really solves that vortex... I’m thinking, maybe he’ll have the ability to reignite some long-settled events?”

Xun Hui didn’t answer, only said:

”You should pray that we can survive the white vortex, and he can survive the orange vortex.”

”Don’t take miracles for granted just because they happen often.”

Wenren Mirror nodded:

”Alright, but can you promise me not to be so rigid in the vortex?”

Xun Hui thought for a moment and nodded.

...

...

Wen Xishu and others couldn’t care about anything else, their only task now was to head towards the orange vortex, the largest orange vortex.

Before long, the group arrived at the orange vortex, with no one left behind.

When the six members finally entered the vortex area...

Their consciousness began to tremble.

Not only their consciousness but even their bodies started flying uncontrollably towards the vortex.

But unlike others... none of the six showed fear or despair on their faces. They didn’t scream either.

Wen Xishu and the others held hands, as if they were going to perform a high-altitude skydiving show.

The orange light grew stronger and more dazzling...

The suction of the vortex also grew stronger, everyone felt as if they were sinking into the deep sea, unable to control themselves under the massive underwater currents...

It felt like they were being swallowed by some abyss.

Wen Xishu closed his eyes, worried about only one thing... this time, would there be no aid from the Freak Dice?

Although entering the vortex was akin to climbing the Deceit Tower, this mode of entry clearly differed from climbing the tower.

The essence of the vortex seemed like a portal, so Wen Xishu worried whether the Freak Dice would work without using the login device?

Or could this thing even handle the great devourer?

Just as Wen Xishu wondered if he would have to ”follow procedures”...

The procedure came.

His furrowed brow instantly relaxed.

[Welcome to the Three Towers Game.]

[Special item ”Freak Dice” detected, do you want to roll it?]

At the same time, Wen Xishu received another prompt:

[The orange item Scorpio’s Cheat Knife you hold will provide the following functions throughout this tower climbing...]

These two prompts made Wen Xishu overjoyed, no less thrilling than when a Transmigrator hears the ”ding” sound in the first Chapter of a novel.

Meanwhile, in Wen Xishu’s vision, the orange glow disappeared and was replaced by...

A gray darkness.

There was no rest area. When Wen Xishu realized the new scene had been constructed...

He had already reached the Deceit Tower, at an unknown level.
