Three Towers Game

Chapter 420: Chapter 136: Arriving at the Orange Vortex

The vortices appeared.

And in large numbers.

The moment the vortices appeared, those close to them were instantly sucked into the vortices.

At the bottom layer of the bunker, a total of one hundred and fifty-seven vortices appeared.

The majority of these vortices were white. If someone were sucked into a vortex, after a while, the vortex might disappear, or it might... slowly change color.

In the basement layer, there were one hundred and seven white vortices, thirty-five blue vortices, and fifteen purple vortices.

The vortices floated high in the sky, if you disregard their danger...

The appearance of white, blue, and purple in the sky, in the form of vortices, would give a sense of Van Gogh’s painting ”Starry Night”.

When Wen Xishu saw these vortices in the safehouse on the second layer, he had this feeling.

It was extremely similar to that world-famous painting, Starry Night.

It seemed like this was an unprecedented massive devouring, whether considering the number of anomalies or the number of vortices...

Not only Wen Xishu, but even others who had experienced the massive devouring were shocked by such a scene.

On the second layer, there were a total of ninety-nine vortices.

Among them, forty-five white vortices, twenty-five blue vortices, twenty purple vortices, and nine orange vortices.

Those nine orange vortices were like nine suns.

Matthew Jones, one of the Five Elders, was slightly stunned at this sight:

”Why are there so many vortices? Where did the lower-level ants get so much resentment?”

Luo Feng, also one of the elders, thought of Mr. Jin; he felt that Mr. Jin must be invited.

Xun Hui and Wenren Mirror looked at the vortices above their heads, Wenren Mirror said:

”It seems that both the lower layer and the second layer can’t hold, things came too suddenly.”

Xun Hui nodded:

”I’m afraid we need to arrange for the people in the lower two layers to transfer to the third layer now.

”I wonder what the situation is on the third layer?”

...

...

A vortex-covered starry sky, nine scorching suns.

Wen Xishu looked at all of this and felt extremely familiar, he suddenly thought of the ancient myth of Hou Yi shooting the suns. Nine of the ten suns were shot down in the legend.

Or perhaps, the nine-planet alignment symbolizing extraordinary phenomena?

Wen Xishu was shocked by such a scene, never expecting the disaster in the bunker to be so ”beautiful”.

Fortunately, this kind of beauty didn’t appear on the third layer, the fourth layer, the fifth layer...

There were seven vortices in the third layer, all white; six vortices in the fourth layer, two blue and four white.

There were no vortices on the fifth layer, no vortices on the sixth layer, and no vortices on the seventh layer.

But on the eighth layer, there was a purple vortex.

There were no vortices in any of the layers above.

Wen Xishu speculated that the number of vortices was related to ”unfortunate events.”

But the color of the vortices... does it depend on the quality of the unfortunate individuals?

He was puzzled and could only wait for the analysis results.

With the appearance of numerous vortices, the safehouse also began analyzing their contents.

This was also the two most potent abilities of the safehouse.

The first ability was to sense the exact location of the anomalies.

The second ability was that the safehouse could analyze the basic information of the vortices.

Thus, the previous meeting was just to assign teams, because with the existence of the safehouse, everything became extraordinarily simple.

There was no need to arrange patrol routes, no need to make simulations.

Wen Xishu was still waiting for the vortex results, but at this moment, he also turned around:

”It’s our turn to take the stage, everyone.”

After these words were said, the five people in the team were all silent.

”Can we really eliminate these vortices? The number of white vortices is so many... and there are quite a few blue ones too. Ah Shu, do you have confidence?” It was Ah Miao speaking.

Ah Miao actually had an absolute trust in Wen Xishu akin to worshiping a god.

She asked this question not because she didn’t believe in Wen Xishu, but because the sight before her was too overwhelming.

More accurately, she had lost confidence in herself.

Zheng Zai also spoke up:

”Brother... based on my understanding of you, you’re not aiming for those few orange vortices, are you?”

Wen Xishu did not speak; he truly had his sights on the orange vortices.

Of course, it still depended on the analysis results from the safehouse.

”There are too many vortices, do you remember what the old principal said?”

”He said that the vortices don’t need to be completely eliminated, once you eliminate a certain number, the massive devouring would end.”

”But without a doubt, eliminating one orange vortex is much more valuable than eliminating dozens of white ones. You see those nine orange vortices?”

”If we can resolve even one of them... the progress of eliminating the massive devouring will undoubtedly greatly advance.”

Yue Yun said with a serious expression:

”Wen Xishu, don’t you think, to eliminate such vortices, you should choose the strongest team members?”

Nissen also changed his casual attitude:

”Wen, do we... really count as your perfect team members?”

Obviously, due to the appearance of certain significant figures in the room, whose status and strength were overwhelmingly powerful, these few team members had become unconfident.

Wen Xishu thought for a moment, knowing he still had to wait for the safehouse to come out with results, so he gave these people some psychological support:

”Do you think that compared to the old principal, the Five Elders, Xun Hui, Wenren Mirror, Atreus and others... you are all useless?”

No one was willing to admit they were useless, but different stages and levels objectively existed.

Seeing everyone remain silent, Wen Xishu continued:

”Let’s temporarily agree with your logic; then forgive me for being blunt, at the recent meeting, except for me, everyone present was useless. I’m not targeting anyone, I’m saying each and every one. Including Albert, including the Five Elders, the two number ones, and the Security Bureau of the Bet Stone Society... all rubbish.”
