Incredible Insight: Toy Factory Discovers Swarm Drones

Chapter 485 The Dream of Becoming Bigger and Stronger and Cyber”Could it be that Young Factory Director Li’s local promotion abroad is actually working?”

The staff member who had previously contacted Li Jiajun swallowed a mouthful of dry saliva and muttered to himself.

His voice betrayed irrepressible excitement and shock.

Originally, the entire business unit had been complaining in private that the plan to print QR codes on balloons and release them was simply a fantasy.

They felt that the meager promotional budget had definitely gone down the drain.

Yet, the slap of reality was so crisp and pleasant.

How long has it even been?

The overseas node IPs in the data monitoring backend were popping up like bamboo shoots after a spring rain.

The staff member’s eyes rolled.

His thoughts began to race.

Since the domestic market had long been killed off by the notoriety of their bloatware, netizens guarded against them like they were thieves.

Then why not change their approach?

He was even considering whether he should report this to the head of their business unit.

To directly change the promotion strategy for their Little Chicken Wallpaper!

Abandon the pathetic domestic stock market and switch entirely to local promotion overseas!

After all, looking at the off-the-charts data, those foreigners across the ocean had absolutely no defenses against this kind of bundled software filled with their local characteristics.

As long as the bait was cast wide enough, the vast overseas sinking market was all lush green leeks waiting to be harvested.

He took another look at the download data in the backend, which was still jumping and increasing.

He immediately beamed with joy.

The worried look he had worn for days was swept away.

’As long as we keep going with this trend.’

’Relying on the broad prospects of the overseas market, maybe our Little Chicken Wallpaper business unit can actually grow big and strong!’ This thought surfaced in his mind.

By then, not only would they not have to face the miserable fate of being laid off collectively by the group,

but perhaps they could even get a generous overseas expansion bonus at the end of the year.

Thinking of this,

he couldn’t sit still for a second longer.

Immediately, he picked up the phone on his desk, opened WeChat, and contacted Young Factory Director Li.

Then, he sent the backend data screenshot along with his irrepressible joy.

He told Young Factory Director Li the good news.

Baishui City.

Inside the office of the director of Li Family Toy Factory.

The phone on Li Jiajun’s desk vibrated twice with a ”buzz.”

He picked up the phone and opened it.

He saw the string of exclamation marks and the screenshot of the soaring data sent by the Little Chicken Wallpaper business specialist.

Upon receiving this good news,

Li Jiajun was immediately overjoyed.

He put down the signature pen in his hand, and his whole person instantly perked up.

He rubbed his chin, a bright smile appearing at the corners of his mouth.

He really hadn’t expected that guy abroad to be so effective.

Originally, he hadn’t held much hope when he sent those balloons printed with the bloatware QR codes as freebies.

Who could have imagined

that the overseas guy’s execution would be so astonishing.

How many days has it been since he received the goods?

He had actually released all the balloons quietly, and the efficiency of inducing scans was terrifyingly high.

Looking at the hundreds of solid overseas downloads in the backend, this was all cold, hard cash.

If it continued to spread at this speed, he would definitely be able to make a hefty extra profit based on this wave of CPA user acquisition commissions.

’It seems that my decision to do local promotion overseas was truly a brilliant move.’ Li Jiajun happily picked up his teacup and took a sip to moisten his throat.

However.

Human joys and sorrows are not connected.

While Li Jiajun was still feeling smug about that bit of promotion money,

on the other side,

inside the frontline command post of the Joint Task Force of Country A and Israel,

the atmosphere was as if it had fallen into a bottomless ice cave.

From the speakers,

the virtual character wearing exaggerated armor and carrying a glowing machete was still screaming at the top of his lungs, ”Brother, slash me once.”

Accompanied by a few unbearable, lewd gasps from a study website ad,

it echoed back and forth in the serious military hall.

The colonel of the Middle East Joint Task Force had bloodshot eyes at this moment,

looking at the completely paralyzed network in the base.

The dozens of large screens that should have been displaying radar scanning images and drone telemetry data,

without exception, were all filled with various trash web games and rogue processes forcedly bundled by Little Chicken Wallpaper.

The memory channels were completely blocked.

The Technical Expert sent by The Pentagon next to him was also ashen-faced, as even his military-grade computer, which he took pride in, had become a zombie.

Under the bitter advice of that Technical Expert,

the colonel’s temples were throbbing, and he was panting heavily.

Finally, he gritted his teeth,

deciding to contact Dead Corner Building.

After all, facing this kind of tampering virus,

the national-level technical strength over there was simply not something that the few technicians in his frontline base could compare to.

Actually, at the beginning, he had a thousand, ten thousand reasons not to want to contact them.

It was because the high-level officials at The Pentagon, upon learning that they had been bombing paint graffiti for days,

had already been furious during a video conference and had issued an unviolable death order.

They had explicitly warned him that if his strategy of using drones for low-altitude close reconnaissance didn’t work and he couldn’t wash away the shame,

he would have to face a military court.

But now, the situation had completely spiraled out of control.

If this continued to develop,

and if he dragged it out further to forcefully hide it for the sake of face,

it wouldn’t just be a matter of going through the motions at a military court and losing his career.

It would be a direct execution!

After all, every computer in their base was frantically downloading those endless trash programs.

He was afraid that their base would fall into a long-term shutdown because of this, and they wouldn’t even be able to restart the system.

Of two evils, choose the lesser.

Losing face was better than losing his life.

Without any hesitation,

the colonel strode toward the encrypted communication compartment on the innermost side of the command hall.

Then, he immediately reported this extremely dangerous news to The Pentagon via the only physically isolated backup satellite line.

And in fact, this colonel of the Joint Task Force also had his own backer.

Moreover, the backer behind him was not low-ranking, belonging to the type of powerful bigwig who could make decisions directly at the highest security meetings.

Otherwise, he couldn’t possibly have held such an important position controlling the Joint Task Force of Country A and Israel and holding massive budgets with just the rank of colonel.

He had been sent to the frontline specifically to gild himself and fish for political capital.

The communication connected.

On the other side of the ocean,

inside a spacious and luxurious office for high-ranking generals,

the bigwig listened to the trembling report coming from the encrypted receiver and learned that the frontline base had been completely paralyzed by a piece of bloatware.

His face also turned ugly.

The muscles in his face twitched slightly, gloomy and terrifying.

He gripped an expensive fountain pen tightly with his fingers.

Originally, the reason he had gone to great lengths to operate and get this colonel sent to the Middle East to take such an important position among many competitors was because this colonel was considered outstanding in ability, acted decisively, and had excellent tactical literacy.

In fact, that was indeed the case.

Before the incident of using two-dimensional fighter jets painted on the Gobi Desert to deceive them,

his subordinate had been doing quite well in the Middle East.

He had destroyed several real hiding spots of armed militants, and the battle reports were quite impressive.

But ever since the outrageous incident of bombing graffiti was exposed,

things on the Middle East front had become eerie.

It had completely deviated from the script of conventional military confrontation.

First, they used the visual blind spot of optical radar to trick them out of tens of millions of US dollars in precision-guided bombs with ground paintings.

Now, Hassan had actually come up with such a cyber-level operation.

Using QR code balloons flying all over the sky, they had directly breached the underlying data chain of military drones and followed the vine to paralyze the regional network of the entire frontline base!

This was simply not the style of Hassan and his group of mud-legged soldiers who had been hiding in underground bunkers eating sand for years and only knew how to carry rifles and fight guerrillas!

With the technological level of the Middle East region, they couldn’t even assemble a decent software development studio.

How could they possibly develop this kind of rogue virus with deep camouflage, strong reproductive capacity, and crazy tampering with underlying protocols?

In an instant,

countless thoughts flashed through his mind.

’This kind of dimensionality-reduction strike that doesn’t follow the rules must be an intervention by some big brother with a top hacker team!’

’Is it the intelligence agency of the Great White Bear Country? Or that mysterious cyber warfare unit of the Eastern Country?’ This thought surfaced in his mind.

He only felt that the matter had far exceeded the scope of a local conflict.

His heart was speechless to the extreme.

However, now was not the time to investigate the mastermind.

The urgent priority at the moment was to quickly restore the network of the frontline base and plug this fatal loophole.

To protect his subordinate and prevent this scandal from being exposed to political rivals,

he picked up another internal phone on the desk.

He directly used his highest authority.

He asked the top network Technical Expert at The Pentagon to remotely go to the Joint Task Force base over there and uninstall that damn software that couldn’t be uninstalled.

Time was life.

The dedicated line channel was established instantly.

It had to be said, the national-level Technical Expert at The Pentagon was indeed a Technical Expert.

This Technical Expert with curly hair who dealt with various cutting-edge firewalls all year round was in a video call with the colonel of the Joint Task Force.

Looking at the full screen of web game ads coming from the other side of the screen, a confident smile appeared at the corners of his mouth.

In his eyes, this kind of civilian trick of using bundled downloads to disgust people was simply not on the table.

His slender fingers turned into an afterimage on the keyboard.

A series of complex underlying overwrite codes and advanced forced termination commands were quickly input.

Then, after a round of operations,

with the takeover of remote permissions and the intervention of powerful antivirus programs,

those stubborn rogue software that had been downloaded at the Joint Task Force, which were disguised as critical system services and almost impossible to uninstall,

were all cleared by him.

On the dozens of large screens in front of the hall, those noisy ad pop-ups disappeared one by one.

Replacing them were clean radar detection grids and familiar tactical parameter interfaces.

Seeing those damn pop-ups finally wiped out,

the colonel’s tense body instantly collapsed, and he let out a long sigh of relief.

He wiped the cold sweat on his forehead.

And on the other end of the video call, that Technical Expert from The Pentagon also stopped his hands that were typing on the keyboard.

Then, he let out a sigh of relief, but just as he had let out a sigh of relief...
