After placing the corresponding items in the designated positions, the blacksmith said to Gu Xi again: ”Please stand at position two. No matter what happens next, do not move.”

Gu Xi didn’t know what path the blacksmith was following, but with such arrangements, Gu Xi naturally wouldn’t oppose.

At this moment, Gu Xi immediately stood in the designated position, watching the blacksmith place a crystal like a flame at position four.

Once this crystal was placed, Gu Xi felt the magic array on the ground light up with the energy from the crystal.

Starting from the position where Gu Xi stood, the five positions of the magic array simultaneously emitted light and began to move towards the Illusion Magic Wand placed within the magic array.

Under the influence of the magic array, Gu Xi saw the Illusion Magic Wand rise into the air under the effect of magic power.

At the same time, the two materials he placed within the magic array also flew up by themselves.

The fastest to react was the pointer, which was made of pure metal.

After flying up, it melted directly under the power of the flame and rapidly turned into large and small metal blocks.

These metal blocks, under a mysterious force, transformed into various numbers and pointers, appearing to be in the style of a clock.

Gu Xi was somewhat unclear, though—why did both the numbers and pointers have traces of sharp angles or wings?

These numbers and pointers adhered to the bottom of the Illusion Magic Wand like patterns, appearing on the wand itself.

In this situation, the Illusion Magic Wand emitted a dazzling light, fully activating the power within it.

Simultaneously, Gu Xi noticed the length of the Illusion Magic Wand beginning to increase, with its style also starting to change.

This situation surprised Gu Xi slightly, but a hint of delight showed in his eyes.

Gu Xi understood that the Illusion Magic Wand had begun to transform.

Just as Gu Xi wanted to adjust the style of the Illusion Magic Wand to make it more suitable for him, suddenly the Ore Vein Core shattered on the spot, and a large amount of gem powder descended from the sky like a tornado enveloping the wand.

At this point, the color of the Illusion Magic Wand started turning transparent, making it look like a slender gem.

Then, some pale green vines appeared at the wand head position of the Illusion Magic Wand.

The changes before his eyes made Gu Xi pause, curious about the situation, yet he noticed his Cold Wind Staff had disappeared.

It seemed that the vines were evidence of the Cold Wind Staff having fused within.

With such changes, Gu Xi had a realization. He extended his hand forward, making a virtual grip with his right hand, clearly feeling something appearing within his grasp.

Gu Xi firmly grasped with his right hand, and with a flash of white light, he was expelled from the magic array.

At this time, he held a long magic wand about 1.9 meters long.

This magic wand was obviously more complete compared to the previous Illusion Magic Wand, comprised of three parts: the wand head, wand body, and wand base.

The wand head consisted of a nest-like holder formed by pale green vines, the size equivalent to a third of an average person’s closed palm. In the indented part, some clear water with a gem luster was housed.

Beneath the branches forming the nest, several inconspicuous heads were hidden.

A crescent made of bright copper metal was locked in the wand holder, looking like the moon passing through treetops.

Below this wand head was a straight wand body.

The original wand body of the Illusion Magic Wand was only 1.6 meters long, shimmering with green light and appearing somewhat crooked.

It was obvious at first glance that this was a purely wooden magic wand.

Now, however, things were completely different; the wand body no longer shimmered with green light and didn’t appear purely wooden. Instead, on the wooden wand body, there was a coil of spiral patterns in black, red, and green metal colors.

Between the spiral patterns, occasionally, abstract designs resembling clocks, constellations, magic books could be found.

These abstract designs were the key features of the wand body; normally, you wouldn’t notice anything unusual without observation.

But, if you looked closely, you’d see these patterns flash in a special rhythm.

Following the wand body down, it ends at the pointed wand base.

This change was influenced by Gu Xi and selected by the traits of the magic wand itself.

Gu Xi habitually holds the wand single-handedly, and his previous Cold Wind Staff was just the right length for him.

Moreover, the combat traits of the Cold Wind Staff made Gu Xi habitually embed the wand into the ground.

Compared to the Cold Wind Staff, the Illusion Magic Wand that had just completed its fusion and enhancement was clearly much longer.

This was clearly a long weapon; it could be held single-handedly, but it wouldn’t be as easy to manage as before.

Therefore, Gu Xi specially adjusted the wand base, allowing the Illusion Magic Wand to be embedded into the ground without affecting his ability to attack enemies with it.

And the sharp position at the wand base was metallic, with the surface rooted as vine tendrils, thus appearing like metal roots.

When held in hand, it wasn’t noticeable, but once embedded into the ground, these roots would spread out automatically, firmly rooting into the ground, enhancing the function of the Illusion Magic Wand.

The changes in the Illusion Magic Wand satisfied Gu Xi greatly.

Holding the Illusion Magic Wand, Gu Xi could tell that its attributes hadn’t been enhanced, and its traits and negative effects remained unchanged.

Yet in Gu Xi’s hand, the wand felt decidedly more convenient.

Additionally, the Illusion Magic Wand had opened six embedding slots, transferring the effects of the two gems Gu Xi had embedded previously.

It could be said that the Illusion Magic Wand had undergone a complete transformation.

Now, it truly became Gu Xi’s personal weapon, unlike before when he felt something was off while holding it.

Leaning on the Illusion Magic Wand, Gu Xi turned around twice in place before speaking to the blacksmith.

”Impressive work. I believe you will soon become a Master Blacksmith.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, the blacksmith felt quite happy.

Pridefully lifting his head, he replied, ”Oh, not quite. I’ve just got some skills, not yet at the master’s level.”

”That’s enough. You’ve exceeded the average blacksmith’s standards.”

Upon hearing this, the blacksmith laughed heartily.

At this time, Gu Xi also inquired about upgrading Purple Armor to Orange Armor.

Regarding this topic, the blacksmith naturally knew more than others.

”The young man from the Huang Family only got half of it right. Purple Armor can be upgraded to Orange Armor through various methods, but that is not the most troublesome aspect.

The real challenge is that the item you wish to upgrade must have the potential to become Orange Armor.

Without that potential, investing more resources and time would merely be a waste.”
