The Fierce Weasel explained the situation inside to Gu Xi, and also elaborated on some of the information within.

Transferring the skills from the old magic wand to the new is one method, while absorbing all the enhancements from the old wand is another approach.

Anyway, the ideas have been presented, now it’s up to Gu Xi to decide.

Listening to the Fierce Weasel, Gu Xi hesitated for a moment.

”My old wand’s attributes are quite average, mainly because I embedded some things on it, while my new wand has no slots for embedding.”

”Got it, actually you could keep your old wand as a memento, I’ll just help you add a few embedding slots on the new wand.”

”That’s just one aspect. Both my new and old wand can be promoted to a higher level, but the new wand was acquired accidentally, and I’m afraid I don’t have all the materials needed for promotion, whereas the old wand was forged by a blacksmith.

All the materials for it are things I provided myself, so I know what will be needed for future upgrades. I always thought I could upgrade my old wand to purple quality.

But this time luck favored me and I got a purple wand; now I’m a bit hesitant.”

Gu Xi explained his thoughts.

At this moment, the Fierce Weasel chimed in.

”Is that really an issue?”

”Rest assured, it’s not a big deal. You just need to tell the blacksmith your requirements, and directly choose to use the new wand to absorb the old wand, then voice your requests during the absorption.

However, you need to consider that some skills from your old wand can’t be used on the new wand this way.”

Listening to this, Gu Xi smiled.

”No worries, my new wand is purple, and its three skills are pretty good.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s words, the Fierce Weasel finally reacted.

He pointed to Gu Xi and said, ”You want to nurture your equipment to orange quality?

Then you’ll have a wait ahead, as upgrading to orange quality isn’t easy.”

Gu Xi, who was about to find a blacksmith, halted.

”What? Do you know how to upgrade purple to orange equipment?”

”I’m not too sure, I’ve just heard some things.

Apparently after purple equipment reaches +3, there’s a chance to upgrade to orange equipment.”

Gu Xi thought, this sounds like a joke.

If you could indeed upgrade purple to orange after +3, orange equipment would be everywhere, unlike what I’ve heard, where Bailian City only has three pieces of orange equipment.

Seeing Gu Xi’s disbelief, the Fierce Weasel started to panic.

”I’m telling you the truth. Once purple equipment is at +3, you can upgrade to orange equipment. But you need to invest materials of orange quality and find a way to erase any negative effects on the purple equipment.

Then nurture it further, and upon reaching a certain level, you’ll have a chance to upgrade to orange equipment.”

Listening to the Fierce Weasel’s method, Gu Xi asked.

”How many pieces have successfully done this?”

Upon hearing this, the Fierce Weasel fell silent.

Seeing this, Gu Xi thought to himself, well, there’s no need to ask further, this doesn’t hold much promise.

But at least it’s a method, a direction, and a goal, though likely not that reliable, it’s still some sort of hope, right?

With guidance from the Fierce Weasel, Gu Xi knew what to do next.

He approached an idle blacksmith and handed over the Cold Wind Staff to the blacksmith.

”What would you like to do, Sir?”

”Use this wand as material to enhance my wand.”

Gu Xi raised the Illusion Magic Wand in his hand.

The blacksmith took the Illusion Magic Wand and glanced at it, his eyes lit up.

The attributes of the Illusion Magic Wand are outstanding, ranking among the top three wands he’s seen throughout his career as a blacksmith.

However, he also noticed that this Illusion Magic Wand is obviously incomplete.

If this wand could be patched up, who knows what it could become?

”How do you want to merge them?”

”Have the Illusion Magic Wand absorb my Cold Wind Staff, transferring all the embedding slots and embedded items across; also, if the Cold Wind Staff can be converted into its original material state, use them to enhance the Illusion Magic Wand.

Furthermore, as you can tell, my Illusion Magic Wand is missing a few parts, clearly requiring specialized components to piece together. I hope to make some adjustments, at least temporarily installing some other items on the staff head and gem.”

Hearing this, the blacksmith looked at Gu Xi again.

”Alright, but once done, the old wand can’t be recovered.”

”I understand, but I don’t care.”

”Fine, it’s not a difficult task, I can manage.”

The blacksmith agreed.

This is just a minor upgrade to the Illusion Magic Wand.

It’s really not a difficult matter.

Moreover, all the required materials are provided by Gu Xi himself, the blacksmith is simply putting in some effort.

It’s straightforward.

Thus, the blacksmith led Gu Xi into his working room.

After observing the Illusion Magic Wand, which Gu Xi held tightly, he spoke.

”The main body of your wand is made of wood, so I won’t use the power of flames for reforging. See the magic array there? Please place this wand at the center.

And place the wand you wish to merge at node three.”

Gu Xi followed the blacksmith’s instructions, placing the two wands within the center of the magic array.

As soon as his hand released them, both wands automatically lifted and floated up and down in the magic array.

”Is there anything else you wish to add?

The wand currently lacks a staff head and tip. If you have materials, it’s better to contribute some.”

Hearing this from the blacksmith, Gu Xi flipped his hand, revealing the Ice Crystal obtained from battling the Evil God last time.

Seeing what Gu Xi had brought out, the blacksmith promptly shook his head.

”Now isn’t the right time to integrate this, do you have anything else?”

Gu Xi pondered for a moment and then took out a drained Ore Vein Core.

He had collected enough of these, so he directly presented a large chunk of the core.

Gu Xi clearly remembered extracting this Ore Vein Core from an abandoned gemstone mine.

Seeing what Gu Xi presented, the blacksmith’s eyes sparkled with excitement.

”Perfect, place it in position one, now it’s best to put an equivalent quality piece in position five, it can be metal or wood, but the quality must be similar to what you presented.”

Metal or wood?

Gu Xi thought for a moment and found a suitable material.

It was one of the purple quality materials obtained from the previous world, a time pointer from a bell tower.

Originally, Gu Xi planned to use this for the Sacred Artifact - Time Pointer.

Unexpectedly, it’s being used here.
