Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

A bunch of rough men from the Wandering Souls stared at the timid young girl inside the crate, exchanging blank looks for a moment.

They never expected that after all that effort, this was all they had gotten.

A yellow-haired man flashed a lecherous grin, rubbing his hands together as he said, ”This chick’s really not bad, boss. How about we have some fun with her first?”

Scarface smirked coldly and shot him a glance.

”If she’s what we’re looking for, do you have any idea how much she’s worth? If you break her, even your life won’t be enough to pay for it!”

The yellow-haired man’s face instantly twisted into a look of terror, and he quickly apologized while backing away a few steps.

Scarface extended his right hand, condensing an ice blade, and pressed it against the girl’s snow-white neck, forcing her to lift her head and meet his gaze.

”Hey, you. You’re a Transcendent, aren’t you?”

A dazed, shimmering light danced in the girl’s eyes. She parted her lips, about to say something, when the roar of an engine suddenly echoed in her ears.

The Wandering Souls turned to look in the direction of the sound. Scarface frowned and gestured to a few of his subordinates nearby.

”Go check out what’s going on!”

Three Wandering Souls immediately jumped off the train car, weapons in hand, sneering as they gazed across the snowy plain. There, snow mist billowed, and the roar of the engine grew closer and closer.

Before long, they made out the shape of a massive silver-gray snow vehicle, with a silver-haired man sprawled across it, racing toward them like the wind.

One of the Wandering Souls stared intently, then spotted the insignia on his combat suit.

”That’s...”

The sneer on that Wandering Soul’s face vanished in an instant, replaced by sheer terror.

Because he saw the golden three-bladed knife emblem on the silver-haired man’s combat suit.

That was the mark of the Divine Punishment Squad from Blizzard City.

The investigation team represented the highest combat power of the Jiangnan Region, and they were the most dreaded existence among all Dissidents.

To them, these people were nothing but merciless demons! Even a single squad could annihilate an entire city’s worth of Dissidents, like asura from hell!

”Dammit, why the hell is an investigation team showing up here?!”

”Boss, it’s the Divine Punishment Squad from Blizzard City!”

The three Wandering Souls shouted the situation to Scarface while simultaneously pulling their triggers without hesitation. Bullets turned into three dense streams of fire, racing straight toward Deng Shentong!

Deng Shentong frowned. Even though these weren’t the targets he was assigned to deal with, this was clearly a Blizzard City special train.

He wouldn’t show any mercy to these marauders.

”Hymn of Light!”

White holy light erupted from his body, enveloping him and the motorcycle entirely. The dense rain of bullets slammed into the barrier of light, all deflected away, not a single bullet able to get close to him.

Inside the train car, Scarface heard the name of the Divine Punishment Squad and immediately rushed to the window to check outside.

Seeing it was just one person, he sneered and said, ”It’s just one guy. Let’s kill him and be done with it! That guy’s gear is worth a fortune!”

”Are you sure about that?”

Just then, Rabid Dog, standing nearby, suddenly spoke in a cold tone.

Scarface looked at Rabid Dog, puzzled, and asked, ”What, are you scared?”

Rabid Dog stared at the silver motorcycle speeding toward the train, slowly narrowing his eyes.

”But if the one coming is the captain of the Blizzard City investigation team, do you still want to try to kill him?”

Scarface’s pupils sharply contracted.

”What?! How is that possible? Is this some kind of trap they set up?”

He froze for only a split second, then roared at the Wandering Souls behind him, ”What the hell are you standing around for? Get the train moving!”

Several Wandering Souls rushed into the cockpit, shoved aside the driver’s corpse, and started the train.

Deng Shentong stopped at the scene, first checking to see if there were any survivors. Unfortunately, the Wandering Souls had been too ruthless; not a single Yan Cloud Guard member was left alive.

Deng Shentong frowned. He watched the direction the train had fled, but didn’t rush to give chase. Instead, he first contacted the Blizzard City headquarters.

”This is Erlang Shen of the Divine Punishment Squad. A special situation has been discovered in the Anhua City area. A Yan Cloud Guard convoy has been attacked, with fifteen casualties on-site. One train has been hijacked.”

Soon, a reply came back.

”Erlang Shen, there is an important transport item on board the train. Please make sure to recover it!”

Deng Shentong thought for a moment, then said, ”I’m currently carrying out another mission, ranked A-level. So what’s the rank of this mission?”

”This mission is ranked B-level. You may decide whether to execute it based on your own judgment.”

Deng Shentong said, ”Understood.”

He hadn’t expected to run into this kind of incident, but since it was an important transport item, he might as well take care of it on the way.

A B-level mission posed some difficulty for him, but not too much.

Deng Shentong looked at the bodies of the Yan Cloud Guard members on the ground, placed his right hand over his chest, and saluted them.

Then, he stomped hard on the ground.

”Boom!”

The earth beneath his feet caved in, burying the bodies of the Yan Cloud Guard members.

Deng Shentong mounted the Snowland Iron Wolf, slammed the throttle, and sped off after the distant train.

The special train had five cars. Although it had been lightened, its top speed could only reach sixty kilometers per hour. On the snow, it stood no chance against Deng Shentong’s snowmobile in a race.

A few minutes later, Deng Shentong caught up.

At the rear of the train, several Wandering Souls gripped their guns, looking up with fear at the approaching captain of the Divine Punishment Squad.

”Aaaaah!!!”

They roared to bolster their courage, then pulled their triggers.

All the bullets were blocked by the white barrier of light. Deng Shentong’s motorcycle roared, drawing closer and closer.

An Enhancement-type Transcendent grabbed a steel support pillar nearby, ripped it off with one powerful pull, then drew his right arm back like a bow and hurled it viciously at Deng Shentong!

Deng Shentong’s eyes turned icy cold. He drew his gun in an instant, fired once, and a bullet wrapped in silver supernatural power sent the steel bar flying!

Then he reached down and pressed two buttons on his motorcycle.

The front of the bike opened, revealing a dozen short, stubby launch ports. A dozen micro-missiles shot out from the launchers, straight toward the rear of the train!

”Boom!!! Boom!!!”

The missiles streaked in. A few Transcendents’ faces changed drastically. One of them tried to raise an energy shield to block.

But low-level Transcendents were completely powerless against these specially designed high-energy missiles. In an instant, three Transcendents, along with the entire rear car of the train, were blown into the air!

Deng Shentong’s motorcycle closed in on the train. He leaped, jumping through the gap in the last car and landing inside.

Before his feet had even steadied, a Wandering Soul in the car swung both fists, and a torrent of flame, like a raging dragon, surged from the other end of the car straight at Deng Shentong’s face!
