Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

After listening to Luozhuo’s account, Zhang Yi lowered his eyelids and pondered for a moment.

”So, what you’re saying is, you and he are enemies, right?”

Zhang Yi asked.

Luozhuo was momentarily speechless. He frowned and remained silent for quite a while before slowly nodding.

”If I want to bring peace and tranquility to the Snowy Plateau Region, he is my biggest obstacle.”

Zhang Yi raised the corner of his mouth, smiling as he said, ”Since you are enemies, why did you help him that night?”

What matters when judging a person is not what they say, but what they do.

Luozhuo explained, ”Even though I don’t like him, I am, after all, his younger brother. I couldn’t just stand by and watch him die.”

Zhang Yi asked, ”You should know what lies beneath the Great Snow Mountain. You went there surely because you also want to obtain that thing. When the time comes, the Lord of the Charnel Ground will also become your competitor. With him present, I don’t think you have any hope of obtaining it.”

Luozhuo’s eyes stared directly at Zhang Yi, and he also smiled.

”With him there, it will be very difficult for you to get it either.”

Zhang Yi said, ”It’s just difficult for me, but not impossible. For you, however, it’s truly difficult.”

”Do you believe that once the matter beneath the Great Snow Mountain is resolved, the good days for your resistance army won’t last much longer?”

The current superficial peace maintained in the Southwest Region is entirely because the Lord of the Charnel Ground and Deji have their focus fixed on what lies beneath the Great Snow Mountain.

Once that matter is concluded, they will definitely take action to eliminate all unstable factors in the Southwest Region.

By then, the three great chieftain families and the resistance army opposing the Sangha Monastery will surely be purged.

Luozhuo said, ”So, you hope to cooperate with me to obtain the treasure beneath the Great Snow Mountain, is that it?”

Zhang Yi gave a faint smile. ”Although your strength is a bit lacking, you are, after all, an Epsilon-level. If we join forces, the possibility of defeating your brother increases significantly.”

Most crucially, he is the Lord of the Charnel Ground’s younger brother.

The Lord of the Charnel Ground has shown him mercy several times when attacking, so keeping him by his side could make the Lord of the Charnel Ground hesitate, thereby increasing their chances of victory.

”Think about your comrades-in-arms. They can’t live like rats in the snow their entire lives.”

Zhang Yi turned his head to glance in the direction outside.

”I believe you are not the kind of soft-hearted person your brother is. To achieve great things, one must be decisive!”

Zhang Yi stared into Luozhuo’s eyes as he spoke.

The smile vanished from Luozhuo’s face. He stared back into Zhang Yi’s eyes, his expression exceptionally serious.

”If you want to cooperate with me, first you must tell me who you really are. I don’t cooperate with people of unknown origin.”

Zhang Yi slowly leaned back in his chair.

He crossed his arms over his chest. Only after more than ten seconds had passed did he slowly say, ”I come from the Jiangnan Region. My codename is [Chaos].”

Zhang Yi chose to tell Luozhuo his identity.

Because the difficulty of succeeding in the upcoming operation was too great, he needed more help.

And Luozhuo, being an Epsilon-level superhuman himself and the Lord of the Charnel Ground’s biological younger brother, possessed information Zhang Yi did not know.

No matter how you looked at it, cooperating with him would increase Zhang Yi’s probability of success.

Upon hearing this, Luozhuo said in surprise, ”I know of you! Does this mean forces from the Jiangnan Region are all involved this time?”

Zhang Yi shook his head. ”No, only I am involved. It has nothing to do with the Region.”

Luozhuo murmured, ”So that’s how it is. You’re a lone wolf!”

”Alright, tell me your choice now.”

Zhang Yi said, ”If you choose to cooperate, I will help you establish a foothold in the Snowy Plateau Region. Moreover, I can provide you with ample supplies. Isn’t that exactly what you currently need?”

”If you don’t cooperate, I’ll leave immediately. I won’t interfere with your affairs anymore. Of course, I am currently a mercenary hired by the Pagyi Family. If you come into conflict with the Pagyi Family, I cannot rule out the possibility of me taking action.”

Zhang Yi laid out the pros and cons here, so Luozhuo could clearly understand whether he should cooperate with him or not.

Luozhuo folded his hands together. ”It sounds like I don’t have much reason to refuse. Besides, you are a superhuman from the Huaxu Kingdom, so me doing this doesn’t count as colluding with outsiders.”

Zhang Yi keenly noticed something strange in his words.

”Wait a minute. Just now you said, ’you are a superhuman from the Huaxu Kingdom.’ Does that mean you have also been in contact with superhumans from other countries?”

Luozhuo smiled. ”Didn’t you see them that night?”

”Who are they?”

Zhang Yi’s gaze turned sharp.

Luozhuo said, ”I’m not very clear about those guys’ identities. After all, I don’t have much intelligence on foreign countries.”

”But they did mention their countries.”

”One group came from the neighboring Bharata.”

Zhang Yi nodded. He had guessed that part correctly.

”And another group came from Britannia!”

Hearing the name of this country, Zhang Yi was stunned.

”What did you say? Britannia?”

He never expected it to be that country.

Because, from the Southwest Region, that country is separated by a vast distance, an entire continent away!

How could they have come all the way here?

Zhang Yi recalled his knowledge of that country.

Two centuries ago, that country was once the world’s most powerful nation, known as the empire on which the sun never set.

Their colonies spanned the entire globe. Once, the entire Bharata region was their colony.

Even now, their Britannia Museum houses ancient artifacts from all over the world.

”Could it be that among the cultural relics they took away back then, there was information mentioning the Great Snow Mountain?”

Zhang Yi could only make this speculation.

Luozhuo said, ”I refused to cooperate with them. That night, I initially thought you were the same as them, which is why I chose to join forces with Jue Guo to fight the enemy.”

Zhang Yi nodded. ”Your thinking was correct. So now, our opponent is Jue Guo, but the superhumans from Bharata and Britannia are our enemies!”

Now, a total of five factions were involved, and the relationships between them were quite complex.

Zhang Yi felt a headache coming on. He hadn’t brought Yang Xinxin with him, so encountering such a complicated situation, he didn’t know how to handle it.

”I will investigate those matters properly when I get back. Right now, I need you to tell me what the Lord of the Charnel Ground’s abilities are and what his weaknesses are.”

Zhang Yi spread his hands. ”Of course, if I obtain new information, I will share it with you too.”

Although things were progressing quickly, Zhang Yi’s help to the resistance army was tangible, and the resistance army currently truly needed external assistance.

”Alright then. But you must first provide us with living supplies.”

Luozhuo made this demand, seemingly wanting to test Zhang Yi’s sincerity with it.

Additionally, he hadn’t made up his mind yet and wanted to buy some time with this.

Zhang Yi, however, merely gave a faint smile. ”That’s easy to arrange.”

He looked around. ”Do you have a larger space here?”

A look of confusion flashed in Luozhuo’s eyes. ”Huh?”
