The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 988: Chapter 988: Afraid My Talent Will Be Overlooked

The young waiter had already pushed the cart in front of the two little cubs, his cart filled with an array of exquisite fruit platters, with fruits cut into small square shapes neatly arranged on a transparent crystal plate.

Little Jinzi swallowed and, remembering the big thing he had to do, shook his head: ”No, thank you!”

Little Taotie, full of curiosity, asked: ”Brother, how did you recognize us?”

The young waiter laughed, pointing to the remote control airplane hovering above their heads, ”Your names are written on it.”

Little Taotie and Little Jinzi looked in the direction he pointed and saw their tiny names on the airplane.

Little Taotie admired: ”Brother, your eyesight is amazing.”

The young waiter bragged, ”If only my grades were better, I’d be fit to be in the Air Force!”

After a brief chat, the young waiter went off to deliver the fruit platters, and Little Taotie and Little Jinzi returned to the room.

Little Taotie took out some pretty stickers, ”If we cover up our names, no one will recognize us.”

Little Jinzi, still very trusting of Little Taotie, nodded: ”Good idea!”

Little Taotie chose a sticker of a little orange cat to cover the name, and Little Jinzi chose a big flower sticker.

Little Jinzi giggled, ”Now, no one can recognize us!”

Little Taotie nodded and giggled along.

As soon as they stepped out of the room, they saw the cart coming over with a waitress who asked, ”Little Jinzi, Little Taotie, would you like some afternoon tea? We have strawberry cake, matcha cake, chocolate lava cake...”

Little Taotie: ”...”

Little Jinzi: ”...”

The two little cubs looked at each other again, feeling bewildered.

Why were they recognized again?

Little Jinzi still shook his head to refuse: ”No, thank you.”

Little Taotie still opened his mouth to ask: ”Sister, how did you recognize us?”

The waitress laughed out loud, ”There are only a dozen kids on the cruise, and chubby ones like Little Jinzi and Little Taotie are very few, easily recognizable.”

Ouch!

A stab to the heart of both of them!

Little Jinzi said sadly, ”Sister, please leave, I don’t want to see you.”

The waitress nodded and pushed the cart away, but her laughter echoed from afar.

Little Taotie looked down at his own figure, then turned to look at Little Jinzi, concluding, ”I’m slimmer than you.”

Little Jinzi: ”...”

Little Jinzi took off his sunglasses, removed his mask, and puffed up, ”When I grow up, I will definitely become a great beauty!”

Little Taotie sighed worriedly, ”I heard plastic surgery can be fatal.”

Little Jinzi took off his hat nonchalantly, ”I’d rather die pretty than live ugly.”

Little Taotie’s little brows furrowed, his soft voice saying, ”My master said, beauty and ugliness are choices one makes for themselves, so why change what you’ve chosen for yourself.”

Little Jinzi was baffled.

”What did you say?”

”That’s so profound.”

”I don’t understand it.”

”Can you explain it more simply?”

”Who is your master?”

Little Taotie also took off his mask and sunglasses, sighing: ”My master has passed away; he was a great master, just like the guy in white clothes.”

”The Divine Being who made 1.6 billion with a gourd?”

Little Taotie nodded.

Little Jinzi instantly turned serious, ”Is your master more impressive than him?”

”I’m not sure, but I think my master was probably more impressive than him.”

Upon hearing this, Little Jinzi became even more earnestly serious, ”Then what he said must make a lot of sense! What did he mean by saying beauty and ugliness are choices one makes for themselves?”

Little Taotie recalled: ”The master meant that before reincarnation, people could choose their appearances. Except for some unusual people who retain their original appearance, others could choose. From the faces of their existing parents, they pick the features they want, like creating a character in a game, molding their own face before being reincarnated.”

Little Jinzi was shocked: ”My... Dad has a high nose bridge! My mom has big eyes! Why would I choose my dad’s beady eyes and my mom’s pig nose! Impossible, I couldn’t be that dumb!”

Little Taotie shrugged: ”That’s how my master explained it, and it should be something like that, maybe you hoped not to be too pretty in this life.”

”Why? Why would I have such an irrational thought? Isn’t being beautiful good? Why be ordinary? Why be ugly?”

Little Taotie shook his head: ”I don’t know either, maybe it’s because if you are too beautiful, others might not see your talents.”

Just like Feng Qi, Feng Qi always said she was worried her beauty would make others fall for just her looks and ignore her talents, so she liked to disguise herself as ugly.

Just like in the story of Beauty and the Beast, Belle ultimately loved the ugly Beast; perhaps this is the true love Sister Feng Qi yearns for.
