The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 696: Chapter 696: The Hardest Fried Rice

The woman shunned Ji Guang, but she didn’t speak harshly to Little Taotie. Instead, she just glared at her before averting her gaze.

Little Taotie just felt inexplicably confused.

In her little mind, she thought, ”When Heaven is about to place a great responsibility on a person, it always first frustrates their spirit and energy, exhausts their muscles and bones, starves their body and skin, empties their body, and disrupts their actions. Thus, changing their heart and temperament and increasing their abilities which they could not previously perform.”

There are always some inexplicable people who want to bring me down. Participating in a variety show, there are also some inexplicable people who want to trouble me. Does this count as being troubled?

In Little Taotie’s inner monologue, ”There are always some scoundrels who wish to harm me,” a new round of dishes was served.

It was still that beautiful cheongsam-clad lady.

Aside from Little Taotie, everyone else felt continuously tormented.

After finishing eating, more dishes came!

The 88th contestant out of the 88 geniuses meant that after finishing his five dishes, the task was completed for the most part, everyone felt ”the dawn was breaking” except for Little Taotie!

Perhaps because the fried rice was inexpensive and saved ingredients, this time it wasn’t a small dish, but four tasting dishes and a large plate filled with fried rice.

Originally, after finishing five small dishes, it would have been over, but to everyone’s surprise, a plate of fried rice was served, and the other judges were flabbergasted!

It was as if their world had darkened again.

Little Taotie took a spoonful of fried rice, frowned slightly, and didn’t go for a second bite.

This fried rice was not as good as the one Third Brother made, nor was it as good as the one made by the small boss at the fried rice stall.

Although the small boss was flashy, his food was not lacking at all, very delicious, though just a little bit less compared to Third Brother.

Contestant 88 was originally confident, but when he saw that the judges had only taken one bite of fried rice and not a second bite, he felt both complicated and dejected. He looked at Little Taotie, who hadn’t taken a second bite either!

If the other judges were full, what about Little Taotie?

Was she also full?

Impossible!

There was only one answer, The dish was not tasty! It did not deserve a second bite!

When it came to the scoring phase, some people gradually gave very low scores.

The contest rules eliminate one highest score and one lowest score, fearing that some would maliciously give poor ratings.

After all, it was a variety show, and when the host asked those who gave the lowest scores, the answers were all the same: Contestant 88 did not take the competition seriously, even bringing fried rice to the table.

They did not realize how difficult making fried rice could be; in their opinion, fried rice was just cheap stuff that anyone could cook up easily.

To the ignorant, no amount of explanation would help.

Contestant 88 pursed his lips and remained silent.

Little Taotie originally wanted to give a score of 9, after all, the fried rice was not as delicious as the one Third Brother made. But seeing everyone targeting and bullying him, a sense of compassion arose in her little heart, hastily scribbling down a score of 10.

”Little Taotie, before, your full score was trustworthy since the food could indeed be good, but why give a full score this time? You didn’t even take a second bite of the fried rice, clearly you didn’t like it.”

Little Taotie tilted her head, ”It’s not tasty, and not as good as the one my Third Brother makes. But making fried rice is the most difficult thing, and to be able to achieve what he has is already a great effort.”

Contestant 88 felt a warmth in his heart. Finally, someone spoke up for him.

Fried rice, how could it be the simplest! It’s clearly very difficult!

Little Taotie’s top score would definitely be eliminated, but it could at least offset a low score, not a bad deal.

Ultimately, of the 88 contestants, they were cut down to just 44.
