The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 693: Chapter 693: Block the Nose

Little Taotie shook his head honestly, indicating he didn’t recognize her.

The woman’s smile stiffened.

Teacher Li, however, laughed heartily, ”It seems Little Taotie is a very dedicated student who probably rarely watches TV. You’re on summer vacation now, right?”

Little Taotie nodded his little head.

Teacher Li asked, ”Did you do well on your final exams?”

At this, Little Taotie hung his head, listless and lacking energy.

Teacher Li was surprised, ”Did you do poorly?”

Little Taotie nodded, ”Third in the whole school, I could have been second.”

Teacher Li: ”...”

”Pfft!” Ji Guang couldn’t help but laugh, ”You’re only thinking about second place, why not try harder and challenge for first?”

Little Taotie said listlessly, ”First place is my comrade-in-arms, I can’t beat him.”

Ji Guang wanted to say more when the director’s megaphone sounded, ”Everyone, we’re about to start filming, please get ready.”

The woman hurried off to the restroom.

When she returned, the other food critics had also arrived.

The eight of them had varying tastes, with the youngest being six years old and the oldest sixty.

The sound of sizzling oil rose and fell, as wafts of fragrant aroma filled the air at intervals.

Little Taotie’s stomach started to sing the song of an empty city, providing a background score to the clanging of stir-frying pans.

Sitting to her right was the crosstalk actor Teacher Li, who, hearing Little Taotie’s stomach growls, said with a smile, ”An hour will pass by quickly.”

What was clearly a brief hour seemed to stretch on endlessly here.

Little Taotie pulled out a tissue, rolled it into two little balls, and stuffed them into her nostrils. The ends of the tissue stuck out, making her little nose puff up.

Catching sight of her action out of the corner of his eye, Teacher Li almost spat out a mouthful of tea.

Teacher Li coughed a few times, ”What are you doing?”

Didn’t she know that countless cameras were pointed at her now, capturing this moment which would be broadcast?

Even talking, Little Taotie sounded congested, ”It’s too fragrant, way too fragrant! If I block my nose, I won’t be able to smell it; I’m afraid I won’t be able to resist it.”

”What if you can’t resist? Just hang in there a little longer, an hour will go by quickly, and then they will bring the food to us. You can eat to your heart’s content then.”

Little Taotie looked at him with sparkling eyes, as if there were countless little stars twinkling within, ”Really? Can I really eat to my heart’s content? I thought we could only taste the food and then critique it?”

”There are 88 young chefs here, each making one dish, that’s 88 dishes. Even if you take only one bite of each, it’ll add up to several bowls! Wouldn’t that be enough to fill you up?”

Little Taotie smiled shyly and embarrassedly nodded in agreement, ”It won’t be enough to fill me.”

Teacher Li: ”...” So Big Stomach King isn’t just a persona?

In the entertainment industry nowadays, everything is about crafting a persona, with some companies even packaging their artists with custom-tailored personas and scripts.

These little stars, even if they get a script that’s completely opposite to their actual personality, have no choice but to awkwardly comply.

Music suddenly filled the air, signaling that the 88 chefs had completed their dishes.

The food was filmed up close.

The young and talented chefs showcased the color and aroma of their dishes impressively, very skillfully indeed.

It was only missing the taste.

Beautiful ladies in cheongsam carried trays to each table.

Atop the trays were transparent glass saucers, each holding a single bite of food.
