The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 658: Chapter 658: The Difference Between a Boy Ticket and a Boyfriend

Yuanyuan finally managed to squeeze out of the crowd and ran away quickly.

When Yuanyuan stopped on the balcony to catch her breath, a childish voice made her gasp, ”Sister Yuanyuan, do you have a boyfriend yet?”

Yuanyuan looked down and saw Little Taotie, her curious starry eyes looking up at her.

When did she follow her up here? Yuanyuan felt troubled, ”Don’t talk nonsense, not yet... we’re not dating, just friends for now.”

”So he’s not your boyfriend yet?” Little Taotie cocked her head to the side, ”That’s a pity.”

”What’s there to pity about! No, wait, do you even know what a boyfriend means?”

”I know, Sister Xiangxiang said it’s the man who gives you money, the one you’re closest to.”

”What nonsense has Xiangxiang taught you! Don’t listen to her, she’s talking nonsense!”

Little Taotie didn’t quite understand, ”Isn’t a boyfriend supposed to give you money to buy tasty food?”

Yuanyuan recalled the delicious meal he had taken her to after the charity dinner, and she still felt somewhat unsatisfied.

She swallowed and whispered softly, ”I guess that’s one way to see it...”

”Sister Yuanyuan, is the stuff at the charity dinner very expensive?”

”Very expensive,” Yuanyuan replied weakly. ”The items auctioned off have commemorative value, and the money is donated to those in need – it’s very meaningful.”

Little Taotie’s eyes sparkled, ”Then I want to go too! I want to donate money!”

Yuanyuan had an invitation in her hand, given to them at the exit of the last dinner, inviting them to the next charity event.

At that time, the man beside her had asked if she’d like to attend again, but thinking she had no money and no need to go, she had refused his invitation.

The invitation was still in her bag; perhaps she could take Little Taotie to experience it.

Yuanyuan found the invitation and looked at the date, coincidentally, it was today.

”Today I’ll take you there to take a look. We can only look because the items there are too expensive, easily millions or tens of millions. But the milk tea and cakes provided are really tasty; we can just go and enjoy a meal.”

Little Taotie asked, ”Sister Yuanyuan, aren’t you dieting?”

Yuanyuan: ”...I’ll start dieting after this meal.”

...

Today was yet another day without missions, and the two children were called to the archives room by Mo Haihao for a day of training.

During the break, Little Taotie seemed a little worried, ”Do you have to diet when you have a boyfriend?”

Hua Jinyan was puzzled, ”Who told you that? Xiangxiang?”

”Sister Yuanyuan is going to diet.”

Hua Jinyan: ”...Her dieting? Doesn’t look like she’ll be successful.”

”She was given a dress by someone who’s almost her boyfriend. She could barely fit into it, but it still felt tight, so she’s planning to diet.”

”She’s dieting just to wear that dress?”

Little Taotie nodded.

Hua Jinyan’s lips twitched, ”Then why not alter the dress to make it bigger? That would be faster than dieting.”

”Eh? How come I didn’t think of that?” Little Taotie became cheerful in an instant, ”In the future, if my boyfriend gives me a dress that’s too small, I’ll just have it made bigger, and I won’t have to diet. That’s great!”

Hua Jinyan paused.

”You... want a boyfriend?”

”Not a boyfriend, a boyfriend who gives money.”

”What’s the difference?”

”Sister Xiangxiang said, a boyfriend might not buy you tasty food, but a boyfriend who gives money will definitely do it.”

Hua Jinyan: ”...I don’t understand.”

”How can you be so silly! A boyfriend could be poor and unable to provide for me. Sister Xiangxiang said, one meal I enjoy could cost an average person’s monthly salary so I must find someone who can afford to and is willing to buy me tasty food. That person is called a boyfriend who gives money! Those willing to provide for me, but can’t afford it, are just regular boyfriends!”

Hua Jinyan: ”...So that’s the understanding, I’ve learned something new.”
