The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 678: Chapter 678: Near-sightedness Leads to Ugliness

After the exams, waiting for the results, the first summer vacation was about to begin.

Little Taotie was eating and drinking while waiting for the results, not nervous at all.

Gu Yixing sat beside her, responsible for feeding her, asking, ”Aren’t you afraid of bombing the test?”

Little Taotie tilted her head, ”Will you hit me if I do bomb it?”

Gu Yixing hurriedly shook his head, ”No hitting.”

He couldn’t bear to!

His little sister Bai Bai was soft and small, like a little ball—what if hitting her caused damage?

Little Taotie’s eyes sparkled as she giggled, ”Then what do I have to be afraid of?”

Gu Yixing had a realization; other kids might fear being hit, being scolded, being forced to get good grades under pressure, but his sister didn’t have such worries, so naturally, she had nothing to fear.

When the cartoon reached an exciting part, Little Taotie was captivated, her big eyes almost glued to the screen.

Gu Yixing checked the time and ”cruelly” turned off the TV.

Little Taotie looked puzzled.

Gu Yixing stated, ”You’ve been watching for two hours now, you must rest, or your eyes will get bad.”

Little Taotie pouted, ”But it’s getting exciting...”

Gu Yixing shrugged, ”You must do right by your eyes; becoming blind will also make you uglier.”

Little Taotie was shocked, ”It can make you uglier?”

This was a shock to any young girl who loved looking pretty.

She couldn’t believe it at all!

Gu Yixing educated her about how myopia could cause the eyeballs to protrude and turn into ”goldfish eyes,” making originally harmonious features discordant.

A tiny change in features could have a certain impact on beauty.

”Plus, because you can’t see well, you might have to wear glasses. The higher the myopia, the thicker the lenses will be, and heavy lenses will definitely bring weight. Wearing glasses daily, even if it’s a little weight, can impact the nose bridge over the years and cause it to change.”

”The nose bridge can change?” Little Taotie had a bad feeling in her heart.

She heard Gu Yixing lower his voice, ”Your nose might collapse!”

Little Taotie gasped.

Eyes protruding, nose bridge collapsing—that... how ugly would that become?

She covered her little nose with her hand and climbed upstairs, ”I’m going to sleep now!”

Once Little Taotie was far away, Gu Yixing lifted the corners of his mouth and laughed wickedly.

Qin Xin came over with a coffee in hand and handed him a cup, helplessly, ”There’s no need to frighten her.”

”I’ve observed for a long time. If you guys talk nicely, she won’t listen. The TV is too tempting for the kids, and nowadays, cartoons are made so well, they’re very attractive. I, as an adult, can be drawn into the plot as well,” Gu Yixing shrugged and spread his hands, ”So there’s no choice but to scare her a little.”

Little Taotie returned to her room, lay on the bed, and closed her eyes, but after a while, she took out her phone.

Fearing that her eyes might go bad, she squinted through a slit to look at her phone.

Little Taotie just started live streaming, and many people swarmed in.

Soon everyone noticed something was off—all along, Xiao Zaizai was squinting, half-asleep.

[Zaizai, are you very sleepy?]

[Zaizai, if you’re sleepy, go to sleep.]

[Right, you’re still young and growing, you need plenty of sleep!]

Little Taotie waved her small hands with a baby voice, ”I’m not sleepy, I’m saving my eyesight.”

[Saving your eyesight?]

[What does that mean? I don’t quite understand.]

[Yeah, I can’t keep up with Zaizai’s train of thought.]

Little Taotie explained, ”Using your eyes too much can cause nearsightedness, and the eyeballs will protrude and you’ll get ugly. Wearing glasses, the frame will crush the nose bridge, also making you ugly.”
