Chapter 1192: Chapter 1192:- Heavenly Tribulation [II]; The Golden Lightning Strike

Among everyone currently within Axel City, Malakor Harrington and Boris were the most experienced cultivators, and both of them sensed the change almost at the exact same moment. Their expressions became extremely serious as they slowly raised their heads and stared into the seemingly endless dark clouds above.

“It’s coming.” Boris murmured in a low tone. The Heavenly Tribulation was finally coming. Both Boris and Malakor could feel its presence somewhere beyond the dark clouds. Although they could not directly see it yet, their instincts were already screaming at them to flee from this place as quickly as possible.

An overwhelming sense of danger was coming from whatever was forming beyond those clouds, and the feeling only became stronger with every passing second.

Even Boris, the old retired Emperor who had lived for tens of thousands of years and experienced countless dangerous situations throughout his life, felt extremely worried. In fact, he could not remember ever being this worried about anyone before. Strangely enough, he had not even felt this anxious when he himself had faced his own Heavenly Tribulations.

There was a very good reason for that. Boris had faced Heavenly Tribulation twice throughout his life. The first time was when he attempted to advance from Peak Fifth Order to Beginner Sixth Order, while the second time was when he attempted to break through from Peak Sixth Order to Beginner Seventh Order. On both occasions, Boris had spent a considerable amount of time preparing before attempting his breakthrough.

Back then, he had prepared multiple specialised formations specifically designed to weaken the Heavenly Thunder. He had gathered defensive artefacts, prepared recovery resources, and made sure that he had every possible advantage before challenging the Heavenly Tribulation. Those preparations had significantly reduced the power of the thunder strikes that actually reached him.

He had the best resources available because he was the Emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire. For his second Heavenly Tribulation, he had taken nearly a decade to slowly prepare.

Even with all those preparations, however, it had still been incredibly dangerous. During his breakthrough to Beginner Seventh Order, Boris had been forced to personally withstand the final thunder strike with most of its terrifying power, and that single strike had nearly killed him.

That memory alone was enough to make Boris increasingly worried as he stared toward his grandson. Aditya had none of those preparations.

There were no specialised formations surrounding him to weaken the Heavenly Thunder. There were no defensive structures specifically created to absorb part of the tribulation’s power. There was nothing between Aditya and whatever terrifying force was currently gathering beyond those dark clouds.

His grandson was standing before the Heavenly Tribulation with nothing but his own strength. This was precisely why Boris, Malakor, and everyone else who understood the danger of a Heavenly Tribulation could not remain calm. They knew exactly how serious this situation was, and they also understood that far more than Aditya’s cultivation was at stake.

The success of this breakthrough could directly affect their chances of winning the upcoming war. If Aditya successfully reached Beginner Sixth Order, the strength of their Supreme Commander would rise tremendously right before the decisive battle.

However, if he failed, the consequences would be disastrous. Even if Aditya somehow survived a failed breakthrough, severe damage to his cultivation could leave him incapable of participating in the war.

And if the Heavenly Tribulation killed him, then in the eyes of many people present, they would have lost the war before it had even begun. There was no acceptable option involving failure.

Everyone understood that, which only made the pressure weighing on their hearts even heavier. With every passing second, their anxiety, worry, and fear continued multiplying as the terrifying presence beyond the dark clouds grew stronger.

And Aditya himself understood the consequences better than anyone. He knew exactly what failure to overcome the Heavenly Tribulation could mean.

Aditya suddenly raised his head as he sensed something terrifying descending toward him. Every instinct in his body flared at once, screaming at him that an unimaginable danger was coming from above. His muscles immediately tensed, and his senses were pushed to their absolute limits as he prepared to react.

But how could a mere Peak Fifth Order cultivator, regardless of how extraordinarily fast he was, possibly match the speed of Heavenly Tribulation? Before Aditya could even properly process what his instincts were warning him about, the entire sky changed.

FLASH!!!

Everywhere the dark clouds had spread, the heavens instantly lit up with an overwhelming golden radiance. For one brief moment, there was no darkness.

The enormous storm clouds, the falling rain, the cities, mountains, forests, armies, and countless people standing beneath the heavens were all illuminated by the same blinding golden light. Even those who had been staring directly toward Axel City instinctively closed their eyes as the sudden brilliance overwhelmed their vision. Even cultivators were no exception to this.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

The terrifying rumble of Heavenly Thunder exploded across the land. The sound was so unbelievably loud that it seemed capable of tearing apart the earth itself.

Buildings trembled, windows violently shook, and countless ordinary people instinctively covered their ears. Even powerful cultivators felt their hearts shake from the sheer force contained within that thunderous explosion.

The golden flash disappeared almost as quickly as it had appeared. And when everyone could finally see again, their expressions drastically changed.

Aditya was no longer standing where he had been moments earlier. The first strike of Heavenly Thunder had smashed him downward by nearly five hundred meters.

Yet somehow, he had managed to stop himself before crashing into the ground. Aditya remained suspended in the air, but his condition was already terrible.

The clothes covering his upper body had been completely destroyed by the Heavenly Thunder, leaving his torso exposed. Almost every inch of his upper body had been burned until his skin had turned charcoal black. Smoke slowly rose from his scorched body while traces of residual golden lightning occasionally flickered across him before disappearing.

Even worse, blood had already begun flowing from his wounds. Drops of Aditya’s golden Divine Dragon Blood slowly rolled down his charcoal-blackened body before falling toward the city hundreds of meters beneath him.

The first Heavenly Thunder strike had landed successfully.

After enduring the first Heavenly Thunder strike, Aditya completely ignored the pain spreading throughout his body. There was no time to think about his injuries or how badly his upper body had been burned. He knew that the first strike was merely the beginning and that five more Heavenly Thunder strikes were still waiting for him.

Without wasting even a second, Aditya immediately reached into his storage ring and took out several healing potions. He opened them one after another and poured their contents directly over his charcoal-blackened body. The moment the medicinal liquid touched his burned skin, its healing properties immediately began taking effect. At the same time, Aditya took out a healing pill, threw it into his mouth, and swallowed it without hesitation.

They were among the various healing resources that the Goddess of Alchemy, one of his soon-to-be wives, had personally given him before he departed from the Six Continents and travelled to the Main Continent.

Back then, neither of them could have imagined that Aditya would end up using these precious medicines before the civil war had even begun. Yet now, these pills and potions had unexpectedly become his greatest source of support during the Heavenly Tribulation.

At this moment, aside from his own strength, these healing medicines were the only external assistance he could rely upon. And Aditya desperately needed them.

There were six Heavenly Thunder strikes in total, with each strike becoming more powerful than the previous one. The first strike alone had already burned his upper body charcoal black and caused his golden Divine Dragon Blood to flow from multiple wounds.

Without these healing pills and potions continuously helping his body recover between each strike, even Aditya himself had little confidence that he could endure all six Heavenly Thunder strikes and still make it out alive.

Before Aditya’s injuries could fully recover, the heavens once again responded. Another brilliant golden flash suddenly illuminated the entire sky across multiple Dukedoms. For a fraction of a second, the massive dark clouds covering the heavens disappeared beneath the overwhelming golden radiance, turning the entire world beneath them bright as day.

BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!

This time, the sound was noticeably different. The sound was louder, sharper, and far more violent than the first. The terrifying roar of Heavenly Thunder seemed to pierce directly through everyone’s ears and shake their bodies from within. Even powerful cultivators instinctively tensed as the thunderous sound spread across the surrounding Dukedoms.

Almost simultaneously, a brilliant bolt of golden Heavenly Thunder descended from the dark clouds. It struck Aditya directly on the head.

BANG!!!

The power contained within the second Heavenly Thunder strike was considerably greater than the first.

Aditya tried to endure the Second Heavenly Thunder Strike.

He gritted his teeth and attempted to keep himself suspended in the air, but this time, determination alone was nowhere near enough. The overwhelming force of the Heavenly Thunder instantly broke through his resistance and sent his body violently plummeting toward the ground.

His figure became nothing more than a blur as he fell hundreds of meters within moments.

BOOOOOOM!!!

Aditya violently crash-landed in the middle of a farming field outside Axel City. The tremendous force behind his fall caused the earth beneath him to collapse, instantly forming a crater around the point of impact. Soil, rocks, and pieces of destroyed crops were blasted high into the air before raining down across the surrounding field.

The damage did not stop at the crater. Numerous fissures spread outward from its edges, rapidly extending across the farming field. The cracks divided and branched repeatedly as they travelled through the earth, creating a massive spiderweb-like pattern around the crater.

Really, thank you very much to all those who sent support with valuable golden tickets and gifts. I hope we can keep it up!!!
