Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1165: Chapter 1165:- Aditya you have to Kill us

“Before the civil war ends, we must find a way to sneak into the Royal Palace and safely bring my parents out of that place. After that, we must find a way to break them free from their mind control.”

Hearing this, everyone in the room was shocked and surprised. The reason behind their reaction was simple. Everyone understood just how difficult, or perhaps even impossible, this task would be. To many of them, this objective was no different from chasing something that existed only in dreams.

The Royal Palace of the Celestial Dragon Empire had the tightest security within the entire empire. It was not simply a residence for the emperor and the imperial family. It was the heart of the entire empire, a place where the most powerful guards, formations, and defensive measures were concentrated to protect the ruler of the Celestial Dragon Empire.

One could even argue that the Royal Palace was the most heavily guarded royal residence among all the empires and kingdoms across the continent. Countless generations of emperors had continued to strengthen its defenses, making it nearly impossible for outsiders to infiltrate without being detected.

What Aditya was suggesting was not like winning battles on the battlefield or defeating an enemy army. This was an operation that required them to enter the center of their enemy’s power, rescue two people who were being used as political hostages, and escape without alerting anyone. Even a single mistake could lead to disastrous consequences for the entire civil war.

“I hate to break it to you, but even with our current strength, it is simply impossible for us to safely enter the Royal Palace, take Alen and Elena, and escape without alerting anyone.” Malakor Harrington said to Aditya.

He admired the fact that his grandson was thinking so far ahead and was willing to take risks for the sake of his family and the empire. However, as his grandfather, Malakor also felt responsible for reminding Aditya of the reality of the situation.

This was not as simple as fighting the civil war. A war between armies could be won through strategy, strength, and preparation. But infiltrating the Royal Palace was an entirely different matter. It required them to challenge the very foundation of the Celestial Dragon Empire’s security and enter a place where their enemies held absolute control.

“Your idea is admirable, but we cannot allow emotions to cloud our judgment. If we fail, the consequences will not only affect us. It could give Emperor Ren and the organization an even greater advantage in this civil war.”

Malakor’s words caused the atmosphere in the room to become heavier. Everyone understood that saving Alen and Elena was important, but they also understood that a reckless attempt could put the entire rebellion at risk.

For Aditya, however, this was not merely a personal matter. As the future emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, he understood that his parents’ existence was also a political factor in this war. As long as they remained under the control of Emperor Ren and the mysterious organization, they could continue to be used as a weapon against him and weaken his legitimacy in the eyes of the people.

Alen was amazed by how bold his son was. Even though Aditya understood that this was an almost impossible challenge, he had still made it his second objective and considered it one of the most important goals of the entire civil war.

To Aditya, this was not merely about saving his parents. It was also about removing a dangerous political weapon from Emperor Ren’s hands. As long as Alen and Elena remained under the control of the enemy, they could be used to manipulate the people, weaken Aditya’s authority, and create division within the empire. Despite knowing the risks involved, Aditya was still willing to take that risk.

“My son. I’m happy that you are thinking about us.” Alen looked at Aditya with a warm expression. He was proud that his son still cared about his parents even while carrying the enormous responsibility of leading the empire through a civil war.

“But there won’t be any need for you or anyone else to go and risk their lives to save us.”

Hearing those words, Aditya was slightly confused. However, before he could ask anything, Alen and Elena looked at each other and smiled. It was almost as if that simple exchange of glances and the smile on their faces carried a hidden understanding between them.

The next words that came from Alen completely changed the atmosphere in the room.

“We have already decided that if Ren does use us against you, you will kill us.”

The moment those words left Alen’s mouth, Aditya’s pupils contracted to the size of needles. For a moment, he sat there completely frozen, unable to react. His face became blank as if his mind had stopped processing everything he had just heard.

He had expected many possibilities during this civil war. He had expected his enemies to threaten his family, use political tactics, and even attempt to manipulate his emotions. But he had never expected his own parents to tell him to kill them if they became a threat to the empire.

“What are you saying?” Wahid and Malakor were furious after hearing those words.

They understood the seriousness of the civil war and the dangers that came with it, but hearing Alen casually suggest sacrificing himself and Elena was something they could not accept.

“Father, please don’t say such things.” Riya spoke with a serious expression.

The room fell silent. Everyone understood the reason behind Alen’s words. As former rulers of the Celestial Dragon Empire, Alen and Elena knew better than anyone how dangerous political conflicts could become.

If Emperor Ren and the mysterious organization truly controlled their minds and used them against Aditya, then their existence could become a powerful weapon capable of damaging everything their son was fighting to protect.

However, understanding the reason behind those words did not make them any easier to accept. To everyone in the room, Alen and Elena were not merely former rulers or political figures. They were family.

And for Aditya, the thought of losing his parents by his own hands was something far more painful than any battle he could ever fight.

However, both couples shook their heads with smiles on their faces. Alen and Elena looked at Aditya with expressions filled with pride. There was no fear or regret in their eyes. Instead, they looked at him with the same warmth and affection that parents would show their child.

“Aditya….!!!”

They called out his name softly. The smiles on their faces were gentle, almost as if they were preparing themselves for this to be their final meeting with their son.

“My son, we have committed too many sins.”

Alen’s voice was calm, but every word carried the weight of his regrets.

“We have hurt the people who mattered the most to us.”

The room became silent as everyone listened. Alen and Elena were not trying to justify their actions or escape responsibility. They had already accepted the mistakes they had made and the consequences that came with them.

“Because of us, you lost your childhood and had to endure countless hardships.”

Aditya remained silent. He wanted to deny their words, but he knew that his parents were speaking from their hearts. The pain and guilt they carried had existed for many years.

“This civil war is happening because of us.”

Alen lowered his gaze slightly before continuing. “Elena and I feel that death would be the best punishment to atone for our sins.”

Their words shocked everyone once again. However, unlike before, Alen and Elena did not look like they were giving up. Instead, they looked like two former rulers who had already accepted their fate and were willing to take responsibility for the consequences of their past decisions.

“It was a wonderful experience to meet you all. I am extremely happy that we were able to apologize to everyone and receive your forgiveness. But this is where we draw the line.”

Alen looked at everyone in the room, especially Aditya. There was a sense of relief in his expression. After carrying the burden of his mistakes for years, he finally had the opportunity to apologize to the people he had hurt and receive their understanding.

However, he also understood his current position. As the former emperor of the Celestial Dragon Empire, he knew that his personal feelings could not be placed above the future of the empire and the lives of countless people.

Alen’s expression slowly hardened. For the first time in a long while, he displayed the authority and determination of the emperor he once was.

“Focus on winning the civil war. There is no need to even think about us.”

His voice was firm, leaving no room for argument. These were not the words of a father asking his son to abandon him. These were the words of a former emperor who understood the responsibilities of leadership.

To Alen, the future of the empire was more important than his own life. If sacrificing himself and Elena was what it took for Aditya to secure victory and restore peace, then he was prepared to accept that fate. Not to mention, death would allow them to atone for their sins.
