Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1177: Chapter 1177:- Scheming Against Each Other

“When do you think I should start the Civil War or launch an attack?” Emperor Ren asked Leo. Ren was testing to see what he wanted. He wanted to see when Leo wished for him to start this war or how he should start the war.

This way, he could better understand what Leo wanted from this war.

“That’s up to you.” Leo replied casually after taking a slow sip of the cold iced coffee without looking at Ren.

He gently lowered the cup and then looked at Ren. His tone became serious as he advised Ren. “But if I had to give any advice, then I would say that the longer you wait, the stronger Aditya gets, and the more dangerous he becomes.”

“I have lived over 1 million years, so don’t take it lightly when I say this. In all those years of living, I have never once seen an anomaly like Aditya.” Hearing this, Ren became silent. It even took him a long time to accept what his cousin brother Aditya was capable of.

“According to my investigation, just two years back, he was so weak that even a beginner first-order cultivator could kill him with a single punch. From that point, he made rapid progress. Now, despite being a mid fifth-order cultivator, he can comfortably kill any cultivator within sixth order and even hold his own against a beginner seventh order cultivator.”

So if you think that by delaying the war, your forces are getting stronger, I’m sorry to say you are just increasing your chances of losing this war.” If Ren still decided to delay the war more despite knowing everything, then Leo would have no choice but to use other methods.

Leo stared at Ren’s face and thought. ‘Did you really think there isn’t a Mind Controlling Gu inside your head right now?’

If Leo needed, he could control Ren right now and at that very second.

And the Mind Controlling Gu that was inside Aditya’s parents’ brains wasn’t really under Ren’s control. Rather, Leo controlled them. But he let Ren command them, giving him the illusion that he still controlled things.

Ren intentionally did not break the illusion of control that Ren lived within.

For now, what Leo wanted was for this war to start. Aditya cannot be allowed to live more days and continue getting stronger. The more the Dragon Monarch grew in strength and increased his subordinates’ numbers, the bigger the obstacle he became to Leo and his Organisation.

After a small pause, Leo continued. “Not to mention the urgent issue of him being able to use his divine dragon blood drops to turn anyone into powerful Dragons, and these Divine dragon blood drops seem to contain so much vitality that it can push a cultivator’s cultivation.”

“For a long time, I’ve always wondered. How did he make Dragonians? But now I know the secret to it.”

“Never did I think in 1 million years that such a miraculous bloodline would exist or be possible to exist.”

“We pushed him to the edge, and he returned with an army of 4 seventh-order cultivators.” Hearing that part, Ren helplessly nodded his head. Who could have predicted things would turn out like this?

“Now you keep delaying this word; who knows how many powerful cultivators will further join his side.” This part had completely convinced Ren to start the war. Unlike Leo, Ren was many times more desperate to win this war.

After all, he had done so much evil work and even bent his own morals just to reach this point. He wasn’t going to allow all of his hard worked-earned things to just slip through his fingers.

“I’m starting the war in 12 hours.” Ren announced in a determined tone.

The Emperor also understood that this war had to be fought on a battlefield. Because both sides had too many of them under their control, spread across the entire empire. They cannot just attack one Duke’s domain and then go after another dukedom of the enemy.

Then this will become a game of him taking one from Aditya. And Aditya taking one from him from another location. At the end of the day, neither party will have any of their allies left. The entire empire, we will lose its overall strength. This was something that neither party wanted to see.

“I will write a letter to Aditya.” Hearing this, Leo understood what the Emperor wanted to do. He understood how the emperor wanted to fight this war although it would have been better if both parties fought each other and try to take each other others county and in the process significantly weekend, the Celestial Dragon Empire, but he had no problem with this arrangement either.

The weakening of the Celestial Dragon Empire will be a beneficial thing in the long-term for their organization, but not weakening of the celestial dragon empire would hardly matter to his organization, given the fact that he had collected all the four pearls. Either way, the outcome of the war hardly mattered to Leo.

But if one thing he wished to see happen was for Aditya to die.

“Do whatever you want. The organisation has given you everything that can increase your chances of winning this war. The rest depends on you and the way you approach things.” Leo replied in an unbothered tone. But secretly, he was pleased that Ren took his words seriously and decided to start the war early.

“One last piece of advice that I would give is that under no circumstances should you ever underestimate Aditya or his side.”

“Trust me, I have seen many powerful Empires whose victory was certain at the beginning of the war, only to end up losing to him because they underestimated him and because Aditya is someone who is capable of creating miracles.”

Ren was about to say that Leo was giving Aditya too much credit, but Leo spoke before he could. “You might say that I’m giving him too much credit, but based on my observation of him over the last two years, I have noticed that he is a very resourceful man.”

Ren carefully nodded his head. Despite the friction between them earlier, Ren thought of coming to Leo when he learned what Aditya was capable of doing. This is the level of trust and reliance Ren had for Leo in all those decades that they worked together.

“If needed, I want more help from the Organisation.” Leo thought for a moment and saw no problem with this request.

Anyways, this could be a good opportunity to get some things that were lying in his storage ring for countless years. And if his Ren still failed, this would ultimately further weaken the Empire. This was something that Leo wanted to see happen.

Meanwhile, Ren also had his own thoughts.

Once he was done with Aditya, he knew that the Organisation would slowly continue to sideline him and give him and the Celestial Dragon Empire less priority. But Ren wasn’t planning on letting himself get used and be thrown away lke a trash.

‘Once I am done with Aditya, Leo, it will be your turn.’ Ren thought in his mind while staring at Lep.

Ren hated being used. In his whole life, he used others to climb to power. But now someone else was clearly using him for benefits, and he had started the situation that he himself had put himself into.

But now he had enough of this. Their argument had opened Ren’s eyes.

Ren was more sure than ever that Leo had to be dealt with after the war was over.

‘I am going to war against my own cousin; do you really think I wouldn’t plot against someone like you?’ There was no hint of remorse in Ren’s heart for Leo.

But Leo also had similar thoughts in his mind. ‘Once the war ends, I will take Ren under my mind control.’

Till now, Ren always listened to his commands without needing to be mind-controlled. But recently, things have changed. Ren is no longer willing to listen to and follow his commands as he used to. ‘Fortunately, back then, I had secretly fed a mind-controlling Gu to Ren.’ This was when Ren first joined the Organisation and met Leo.

Leo was sure that Ren would start plotting against him the moment the war started. This was something that had to be stopped before Ren did.

Leo wasn’t naive enough to believe that Ren would remain a faithful dog for the rest of his life once the war ended. So, foreseeing such a future, Leo had created a backup that he could always rely on.

A moment later, Ren left the Organisation’s current base with a satisfied look.

Ren knew that the Organisation wanted him to win this war. So the Organisation wasn’t holding back. Most of what he asked from the Organisation was allocated to him without needing to provide too much explanation.

‘Now I need to do something about Uncle and Aunt when the war starts.’ Once Ren returned home, the first thing he did was to write a letter for Aditya.
