Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 1179: Chapter 1179:- Less than 12 hours

[The battle will begin exactly 12 hours after the moment you receive the letter. My army will come to the Northern Grassy Plains via the teleportation array and advance towards Axel City.

My dear cousin, if you want to stop us, bring your entire army. We will settle this civil war with a single big battle.]

After reading the letter, Aditya’s expression turned cold.

‘He’s making it sound as if he has no choice but to do this, but that’s just him being a hypocrite and a selfish bitch.’

‘Pretending to be righteous in his letter! In my eyes, you are the biggest hypocrite I’ve ever seen in my two lives.’

‘Prepare for war!’ This was the outcome Aditya wanted as well. Rather than having the war stretch into multiple battles across different locations throughout the Celestial Dragon Empire, it would be far better for them to settle the score in a single decisive battle. This way, they could bring the war to an end without prolonging the conflict any further.

Neither Ren nor Aditya wanted a prolonged war. If the war dragged on for too long, then the casualties and financial loss that the entire Celestial Dragon Empire would take overall was something that both of them wanted to avoid at all costs. At the end of the day, both of them deeply cared about the Celestial Dragon Empire for their own reasons.

This might be the only common ground between them.

Aditya put the letter down and looked at the sky.

‘Finally, the war is starting.’ Aditya closed his eyes while still staring at the sky.

‘It would be in the best interest of the Organisation if Ren won. At the very least, they won’t want their enemy to win this war and gain even more political power and military power. So Leo will surely be providing support to Ren’s army.’

‘The question is what kind of support he is going to give to Ren.’ In his two years of knowing them, the Organisation showed him that they possess so many different tools and items. At first, Aditya could never understand how a mere Organisation could have such strange and rare things in their possession.

But after learning that the Organisation had existed for over a million years, Aditya knew the answer.

Although it was very frustrating, it was the reality. And that reality was the Organisation under Leo had more than a million years to prepare. While he was given a little over two years of time.

Scene Change____

“Aditya, didn’t you go to the library just now?” Malakor Harrington was training with the troops of the Harrington family for the first time in decades. There were hundreds of thousands of troops standing in formation.

Aditya glanced at the hundreds of thousands of troops that stood in formation with their chest lifted and heads held high.

At a glance, he could tell that these troops had gone through intense training. Aditya could tell that these troops were very disciplined.

At the same time, Aditya also felt that the morale of the troops was at an all-time high. Everyone strangely looked excited. This scene somewhat confused Aditya, but he didn’t find it important enough to bring it up to Malakor Harrington.

What he didn’t know was that the reason behind this excitement and all-time-high morale was that Malakor Harrington was personally overseeing their training. Many decades ago, Malakor Harrington stopped personally overseeing the training of his troops and instead focused on spending more time with his daughter. And even after his daughter was married, he never came back. He simply transferred those responsibilities to someone else.

So after so many decades, the fact that the legendary Malakor Harrington was back and was in charge of their training once again filled the troops’ hearts with excitement and vigour. Everyone was eager to train like they had something to prove to the legendary Malakor Harrington.

“I received a letter from Ren.” Hearing this sentence, Malakor turned to look at Aditya. Seeing the serious expression on his grandson’s face, Harrington understood that whatever Ren had written in the letter was about the war.

“So when is the war starting?” Aditya didn’t find it surprising that Harrington managed to guess that this letter was about the war.

“Less than 12 hours from now.” Hearing this, Harrington was very surprised. He didn’t expect Ren to be in such a hurry that he would want to start the war immediately.

“It’s a good thing that all these days we have been preparing for the start of the war at any given moment.” There was no reason for them to panic. All nobles on Aditya’s side were very well prepared.

“What is the location of the battlefield?”

“Northern Grassy Plains!”

Malakor Harrington nodded his head. “It’s a good place for the war.”

“It’s a huge stretch of empty land without any settlements on it. Most importantly, the whole Northern Grassy Plains is surrounded by forest on all sides. This means we can go all out without needing to harm any civilians or destroying any cities accidentally.”

Aditya nodded his head. He also agreed with this statement.

“Let’s send our scouts to establish teleportation arrays there. We will take the northern side of the Grassy Plains. They can take the southern side.”

There was no need to mention such details in the letter. After all, the Northern Grassy Plains lay to the south of the capital, so it was only natural that Ren’s forces would approach from the north. This meant that both sides could take their respective positions without needing to discuss the matter beforehand.

“Grandpa, make sure that all our allies know about this news within the next 10 minutes.”

Every minute wasted informing his allies could be better spent on something more worthwhile. Instead of sending a few messengers from one Dukedom to another through the teleportation arrays, it would be far more efficient to send a separate messenger to each Dukedom.

According to Aditya’s instructions, he wanted the Dukes and Duchesses of their respective territories to act as quickly as possible and ensure that all their vassals were informed as well.

This would allow the troops and supplies from their vassals to reach the capitals of their respective Dukedoms as soon as possible, before everyone gathered outside Axel City. The sooner they received the news, the more time they would have to prepare their forces for the upcoming battle.

“You heard him.” Makalor Harrington turned to his men. One of his trusted men to carry this responsibility.

“Sir, I will make sure that this news is spread to every household within the shortest time possible.”

“Good!” Harrington was very satisfied with his men’s attitude.

“What will you do now? Should I call everyone for a meeting?” But Aditya shook his head. He felt there was no need to call everyone for a meeting right now. For the moment, he had another major concern weighing on his mind.

“We can discuss this during lunchtime. I will need to hurry up and advance my plans.”

“Plans? You don’t mean the Capital?” Malakor Harrington couldn’t help but ask.

But Aditya neither nodded nor shook his head. “I will be busy. Grandpa, please make sure that no one disturbs me.”

Aditya turned around and began walking away. “I will be at the library.” He said without looking back.

“Men, from now on, no one is allowed to come within a five-meter radius of the library. Is that clear?” High-ranking military officials still had clearance to enter the library and often used it themselves. But now, since his grandson had specifically asked not to be disturbed, Harrington wanted everyone to understand that the library was completely off-limits for the time being.

“UNDERSTOOD, SIRE!!!” Everyone shouted loudly in response.

“Good!” Malakor once again nodded his head, feeling very satisfied. The sharpness and discipline that he had instilled in his troops still remained, even after decades of being away from the training grounds.

This meant that the people he had entrusted with the responsibility of training his troops had faithfully carried out their duties to the utmost perfection.

Scene Change______

Lilith was lazily enjoying the morning sun. She lay on the roof of the Mansion with a big round hat covering her face. This was a very relaxing spot that she had accidentally discovered.

Lilith sensed Sasha coming to the roof.

“What are you doing here?” Without opening her eyes, Lilith asked Sasha in a lazy tone.

“Do you want to enjoy the sunlight while lying here?” If it was her daughter, then she would not mind at the slightest bit sharing this space.

“Mom, the war will start in less than 12 hours.” Sasha’s one sentence caught Lilith off guard. The moment Sasha said those words, a strong gust of wind took the hat covering Lilith’s face, revealing her shocked expression.

“WHATTTT???”
