Medical and Martial God

Qin Qing felt a headache coming on. ”Is there any way to make Jiaojiao act more normally? If she keeps this up, it’ll be impossible for you to teach her anything as her master.”

Ye Xiu thought for a moment before replying, ”Let’s just spend some time with her first and see how it goes.”

Qin Qing nodded and changed the subject. ”Have you looked at what Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue wrote in the notebook?”

”I’ve only glanced at it,” Ye Xiu said.

”Then I’ll just tell you directly,” Qin Qing said, her expression turning serious. ”Some of the things Tu La recorded are extremely important.”

Ye Xiu immediately perked up.

Qin Qing continued, ”In the Eternal Islands, apart from the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom, there are three other forces that demand our attention.”

”The first is the descendants of the Taoism members imprisoned on the Eternal Islands by the Temple countless years ago. They have all now gone to Drunken Fairy Island.”

Ye Xiu nodded. ”We can ignore that force for the time being. The descendants of the prisoners are terrified of the Judicator Families and won’t dare to make another formidable enemy out of us.”

Qin Qing thought the same and went on, ”The second force is Hell’s Gate.”

”Before the Temple turned the Eternal Islands into a prison and before the three Judicator Families arrived, the islands had native inhabitants. From the moment the Temple sent the first batch of prisoners, the native inhabitants and the prisoners began a protracted war. As the Temple sent the three Judicator Families and a large number of humans to the islands to establish the Eternal Kingdom, the native inhabitants were completely suppressed, unable to rise again.”

”Over the past two thousand years, very few natives remain on the Eternal Islands, but they have not given up on driving the three Judicator Families, the Eternal Kingdom, and the prisoners out of their homeland. Thus, they established Hell’s Gate. For generations, all its members have been hiding across the various islands, secretly accumulating power and clandestinely sabotaging the Eternal Islands.”

”After the three Judicator Families issued their bounties, members of Hell’s Gate hidden on all the islands used the chaos to move to Phoenix Perch Island, northeast of Biluo Island. According to reports from our intelligence operatives there, Hell’s Gate plans to use Phoenix Perch Island as a base to eliminate everyone on the Eternal Islands, including us.”

Ye Xiu fell into deep thought after hearing this.

The Judicator Families have only been on the Eternal Islands for a little over two thousand years, but who knows how long it’s been since the Temple turned this place into a prison? It could have been thousands, tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands of years. The fact that the native inhabitants haven’t been completely wiped out after all this time suggests they are anything but simple.

”Hell’s Gate is a ticking time bomb—extremely dangerous,” Ye Xiu said gravely. ”Continue. Tell me about the third force.”

Qin Qing nodded. ”The third force is called the Heavenly Sect, also composed of native inhabitants. They have also gone to Phoenix Perch Island. However, the Heavenly Sect is different from Hell’s Gate. It was founded within the last few hundred years and is an extremely mysterious assassin organization.”

”Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue know very little about the Heavenly Sect. Our intelligence operatives only know that they went to Phoenix Perch Island, but they haven’t seen them form an organization there, nor have they managed to find any of its members.”

Ye Xiu furrowed his brow.

So this Heavenly Sect is a dagger hidden in the shadows. The more mysterious, the more dangerous! I just wonder what the relationship between the Heavenly Sect and Hell’s Gate is. Are they enemies, or are they working together?

”The current situation in the Eternal Islands can be described as a four-way standoff,” Qin Qing said. ”There’s our Biluo Island, the prisoner descendants on Drunken Fairy Island, Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect on Phoenix Perch Island, and then the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom.”

Ye Xiu shook his head. ”No, it’s a five-way standoff.”

Qin Qing was startled. ”And who is the fifth power?”

”Second Prince Lin Feng!” Ye Xiu laughed. ”You remember him, the one who went to Nanjing with Qiao Beiming and Yue Longxuan. After finding out he was just cannon fodder for the Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom, he secretly returned to the Eternal Kingdom with Kristina and Ming Yue, thanks to my help.”

After Ye Xiu’s reminder, Qin Qing remembered who Lin Feng was. ”Are you in contact with him? Does he command a powerful force now?”

Ye Xiu laughed. ”I was bored earlier, so I made a casual move. Using Ergouzi’s phone, I sent a text message ordering Wu Yiping to sneak into Lin Feng’s base and pledge his allegiance.”

Poor Wu Yiping. He still has no idea that Ergouzi has been dead for months.

”A five-way standoff!” Qin Qing raised her eyebrows. ”The Eternal Islands are getting more and more chaotic. It feels like a contest of heroes.”

”They’re just a bunch of clowns,” Ye Xiu said with disdain.

Just then, a knock sounded. As Ye Xiu and Qin Qing looked toward the door, Meng Yinwan walked in. She was dressed very simply today in a ponytail, a white T-shirt, blue skinny jeans, and white sneakers.

”Is there something you need?” Ye Xiu asked.

Meng Yinwan nodded. ”I’ve come on behalf of the Restorer Alliance to ask for your opinion on the forces of Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect.”

Qin Qing had long since had Leng Yue post the contents of Tu La’s notebook on the Martial Artist Forum, so all the Martial Artists on Biluo Island now knew about Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect.

”What are your thoughts?” Ye Xiu asked.

Meng Yinwan seemed to have already prepared her answer and replied without hesitation, ”Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect are both composed of natives of the Eternal Islands. They see us, the prisoner descendants, the three Judicator Families, and the Eternal Kingdom as enemies. If we engage in an all-out war with the Judicator Families, and Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect launch a surprise attack from behind, we would be at a great disadvantage.”

”Therefore, the higher-ups of the Restorer Alliance and I believe that before we wage a full-scale war against the Judicator Families, we should eliminate Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect first.”

That’s the right line of thinking!

Ye Xiu thought the same and asked, ”We don’t know how strong Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect are. Wouldn’t sending troops in blindly be a huge risk?”

”Leave it to our Restorer Alliance,” Meng Yinwan said.

”Are you crazy?” Ye Xiu chuckled. ”As far as I know, Hell’s Gate has at least several hundred thousand members. Your Restorer Alliance only has a little over twenty thousand here. Are you going on a suicide mission?”

Meng Yinwan also laughed. ”Our Restorer Alliance also has several hundred thousand members; it’s just that only about twenty thousand are on Biluo Island. For this assault on Phoenix Perch Island, all hidden members of the Restorer Alliance across the globe will be mobilized.”

Ye Xiu and Qin Qing were secretly shocked. So the Restorer Alliance possesses such astonishing power. They’ve hidden their strength well!

Ye Xiu pondered for a moment. ”Alright then, we’ll leave Hell’s Gate and the Heavenly Sect to you. If you find they are too strong, request reinforcements immediately. I’ll bring people to lend you a hand.”

”Agreed!” Meng Yinwan nodded and left.

Only then did Qin Qing speak up. ”Letting the Restorer Alliance attack Phoenix Perch Island seems a bit unwise. Hell’s Gate has been accumulating power for who knows how many years. Can the Restorer Alliance really destroy them?”

A cold smile touched the corners of Ye Xiu’s mouth. ”The Restorer Alliance has never been a righteous organization. I’ve always felt their motives for dealing with the three Judicator Families were impure. Think about it, the name ’Restorer Alliance’ is very revealing. What exactly are they trying to restore?”

Qin Qing instantly understood his meaning, and her expression changed. ”Do you suspect the Restorer Alliance is in cahoots with Hell’s Gate?”
