Medical and Martial God

”I’ve done a rough calculation. Counting the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh Grades, we have a total of about 5.05 million people. This is enough to form 1,010 large teams.”

”All small team, medium team, and large team leaders will be martial artists with military backgrounds from their respective nations’ Official Families. I will post the specific arrangements on the Martial Artist forum...”

Upon hearing this, Bruce asked, ”Shouldn’t we appoint seven supreme commanders for the seven armies of First through Seventh-Grade martial artists?”

This was the same question every War God in the audience wanted to ask. After all, a large army needed a supreme commander to facilitate the chain of command.

”That won’t be necessary!” Ye Xiu declared loudly. ”We are martial artists, not ordinary soldiers. We don’t need conventional, large-scale warfare, because our numbers and the quality of our fighters are far inferior to those of the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom. If we were to engage in a massive, conventional war, we would have no chance of winning.”

”We will operate using small groups, small teams, medium teams, and large teams. Our strategy will be to infiltrate, harass the enemy, and then retreat quickly. With smaller targets, we are easier to conceal and hide. It’s like an elephant trying to stomp on ants; as long as the ants hide well, they can seize the initiative and lead the elephant around...”

The War Gods in the audience now understood. In a situation of such overwhelming disparity, Huang Quan’s strategy and tactics were far more suitable for the world’s martial artists.

”However, there is one crucial point to note,” Ye Xiu continued. ”That is information sharing. We must equip everyone with wireless communication devices to facilitate communication between small groups, small teams, medium teams, and large teams. If one unit is in trouble, nearby teams can provide rapid support or assistance.”

The leaders of the various national martial artist organizations quickly took out their phones to note down Huang Quan’s words, as they would now need to request this equipment from their respective countries.

”You’ve only mentioned the First to Seventh Grades. What about the Eighth Grade Grandmasters, Ninth Grade Great Grandmasters, and all the War Gods? How will they be arranged?” Bruce asked.

Ye Xiu thought for a moment before replying, ”For now, the Eighth Grade Grandmasters and Ninth Grade Great Grandmasters will also be organized into small groups, small teams, medium teams, and large teams, but they are not required to fight yet. Biluo Island has dense spiritual energy, and it is at the Eighth and Ninth Grades that martial artists have the best chance to advance to War God. Their primary task for now is cultivation.”

”As for the War Gods, the same applies: cultivation is the priority. The only difference is that they will form groups of three.”

”I will compile all the finer details, such as specific task assignments and their designated locations on Biluo Island, into a post on the Martial Artist forum.”

In truth, Ye Xiu wasn’t skilled in such matters. He was merely proposing a rough outline. The specifics of refining and adjusting the plan would have to be handed over to Gong Jin, You Ming, and the experts from each country’s Ministry of Military Affairs.

”Oh, right!” Ye Xiu suddenly remembered something. ”Yan Long, Bruce, and Galava, you three troublemakers will form one group. I wouldn’t be comfortable putting you with anyone else.”

The faces of the three men instantly darkened.

However, the other War Gods in the audience understood Huang Quan’s reasoning. Yan Long, Bruce, and Galava were three notorious liabilities; any team with them would be doomed. Putting the three troublemakers together, on the other hand, might produce some unexpectedly miraculous results.

”Sigh, so my position as the leader of the world’s number one organization is just gone like that?” Yan Long looked devastated. With Ye Xiu’s new arrangement, Heaven Net was effectively dissolved, and he, its leader, had just been reduced to a commander without an army!

The Eight Great National Protector War Gods, however, breathed a collective sigh of relief. With this new arrangement, martial artists from around the world would no longer harbor hostility toward Heaven Net—because Heaven Net no longer existed!

”You might as well get on with explaining the correct path of cultivation,” Bruce said, his face grim.

”Alright!” Ye Xiu nodded and began. ”According to the correct cultivation methods, a First Realm War God is also known as being in the Intention Refining Stage. So, what is ’Intent’?”

Bruce scoffed, ”Who doesn’t know that? ’Intent’ is a conceptual realm. You can only open your Qi Sea and advance to Second Realm War God once you have fully comprehended it.”

”Then how do you use ’Intent’?” Ye Xiu asked.

Bruce was rendered speechless. All the War Gods in the audience were equally baffled. It was the first time they had ever heard that ’Intent’ could actually be used.

”Watch closely!” Ye Xiu stamped his foot, and the ground exploded in a cloud of dust. In an instant, the dust coalesced into a dirt ball the size of a human head, which then floated in mid-air.

”This...”

While the War Gods in the audience were still shocked by Huang Quan’s miraculous abilities, they found themselves completely captivated by the dirt ball.

War Gods who had comprehended Sword Intent saw an astonishing Sword Intent emanating from the ball.

War Gods who had comprehended Blade Intent saw an astonishing Blade Intent.

The other War Gods experienced the same phenomenon with their own comprehended Intents.

”How did you do that?” Bruce asked breathlessly, as if he had discovered a new world.

Ye Xiu didn’t answer. Instead, he asked, ”’Intent’ can make your techniques more profound and powerful. You’ve comprehended ’Intent,’ but you don’t use it. What was the point of comprehending it in the first place?”

For a moment, the War Gods in the audience fell into deep thought. Ye Xiu’s words had opened the door to an entirely new way of thinking about combat. He didn’t disturb them, giving them a full half-hour to ponder.

Only then did he continue, ”The Second Realm War God is also called the Qi Refinement Realm. What does ’Qi Refinement’ mean?”

This time, Bruce remained silent, worried about being put on the spot again.

The ever-blunt Yan Long spoke up, ”Qi Refinement is what happens after you open your Qi Sea. You just keep absorbing nature’s spiritual energy to fill it up.”

Ye Xiu chuckled. ”The Qi Sea is only so big. How much spiritual energy can it possibly hold?”

Before Yan Long could ask, he continued, ”Qi Refinement does indeed involve absorbing nature’s spiritual energy into the Qi Sea. But you must also refine that spiritual energy, purging it of impurities. The purer the energy, the easier it becomes to control, and the more powerful your techniques will be.

”Furthermore, spiritual energy that has been refined to its absolute limit can be liquefied. After liquefaction, the Qi Sea is able to hold even more spiritual energy.

”Some people feel their Qi Sea is full and can’t wait to advance to the Third Realm.

”Some people compress their spiritual energy into a single drop of liquid and then rush to advance.

”Let me tell you, the Qi Sea can become like a vast ocean, holding a boundless amount of liquefied spiritual energy.

”When this liquid accumulates to a certain degree, it can condense into a Qi Sea Snow Mountain. In Taoism, this is called congealing a Golden Core. At that stage, the Qi Sea can hold even more spiritual energy.

”The more time you spend consolidating your foundation in the Qi Refinement Realm, the more immense your martial prowess will become, and the greater your stamina in battle...”

This was Ye Xiu’s way of explaining the Qi Refinement Realm in the simplest terms possible, as he was mainly worried that the illiterates in the audience wouldn’t be able to grasp it.

The War Gods did indeed understand, but they all looked as if they had been struck by lightning. Only now did they realize what a true foundation was.

The Qi Refinement Realm *is* the true foundation! If they had condensed a Qi Sea Snow Mountain or a Golden Core, how immense would their martial prowess be? How boundless would their future potential become?

”You... you have to tell us about the Third Realm War God! Hurry...” Bruce urged, his breathing ragged.

The other War Gods all stared at Ye Xiu with feverish eyes. At this moment, they were truly and utterly convinced by Huang Quan.

Huang Quan could be called a teacher for the ages in the Cultivation World. His discourse today will surely influence the cultivation paths of countless martial artists for generations to come.
