Medical and Martial God

Ye Xiu rushed back to Qingqing Homestead on his Pipi Pig.

In the yard, he saw Qin Qing, Leng Yue, Mo Luo, Dizang, Chloe, Ye Liuyun, the Taoist Leader, and a four- or five-year-old girl. Except for the little girl, whose mouth was slick with grease as she ate, everyone else’s expression was unusually solemn. The atmosphere was exceptionally heavy, broken only by the smacking sounds of the little girl eating her meat.

Upon seeing the Taoist Leader, Gongsun Jian, the faces of Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue paled. ”Gongsun Jian?” Tu La blurted out. ”You, what are you doing here?”

Gongsun Jian ignored him. In fact, no one paid him any mind.

”What happened?” Ye Xiu asked.

”I’ll explain,” Qin Qing said. ”According to intelligence from our agents on the various islands of the Eternal Islands, the three Judicator Families have issued a bounty to all the lower-class and Fourth-Rank islanders.”

Hearing this, Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue were stunned again. Tu La exclaimed in disbelief, ”Your agents have actually infiltrated the islands of the Eternal Islands? How did you manage that?”

Ye Xiu slapped him across the face. ”Draw a pound of blood from your daughter every day, and you can travel through the Eternal Islands unhindered.”

Tu La flew into a rage, unable to believe that Ye Xiu would dare to torture Kristina like this. Just as he was about to protest, Ye Xiu sealed his mute acupoint, leaving him speechless.

Ye Xiu turned back to Qin Qing. ”What’s the bounty?”

”The bounty is divided into two parts,” Qin Qing said gravely. ”First, it’s open to all lower-class people and Fourth-Rankers. There’s a price on the head of anyone from Biluo Island. Whoever can bring back the heads of one hundred people from Biluo Island will be granted any Totem they desire and receive a special promotion to the Third Rank.

”Second, anyone who kills Ye Xiu will receive a drop of blood from one of the three great Totem inheritors of the Judicator Families—their choice. They can also pick any Totem or Special Abilities, will be promoted to the First Rank, receive a small island as a gift, and be granted any single request by the three Judicator Families.”

Ye Xiu clicked his tongue in amazement. What a move by the three Judicator Families. It’s an offer so tempting that most people would find it hard to resist.

Puzzled, he said, ”This bounty shouldn’t be a threat to me or Biluo Island. You don’t need to be so tense.”

”I’m not finished,” Qin Qing said solemnly. ”The three Judicator Families have released every single prisoner from the jails of the Eternal Kingdom. They’ve been sent to Biluo Island to atone for their crimes, and the terms of the bounty apply to them as well.”

What’s so scary about a bunch of prisoners?

Just as Ye Xiu was about to ask, he saw the looks of shock on the faces of Tu La, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue. Their eyes even held a trace of fear. He finally realized there must be some formidable masters among those prisoners!

He asked, ”Are there terrifying individuals among the prisoners?”

The Taoist Leader, Gongsun Jian, spoke up. ”The vast majority of people in the Eternal Kingdom never leave their home island in their entire lives, and the same goes for those of us in Taoism. So, I don’t know about the prisoners on other islands. However, on the island where Taoism resides, a bloodthirsty maniac appeared five years ago. The man had a knife sticking out of his head, possessed overwhelming strength, committed every evil deed imaginable, and reveled in killing.”

At this, the Taoist Leader pointed to the little girl devouring the meat. ”Her name is Jiaojiao. Her entire family, all 307 of them, were killed by that bloodthirsty maniac. It’s worth noting that Jiaojiao’s family had two members at the Peak of the Seventh Realm and three ordinary Seventh Realm experts...”

Hearing this, Ye Xiu’s expression finally turned serious. A family with five Seventh Realm experts had been wiped out by a single person. That bloodthirsty maniac was likely even stronger than Bruce.

Gongsun Jian continued, ”After the bloodthirsty maniac massacred Jiaojiao’s family, he went on to slaughter tens of thousands more people on the island. He also killed many Martial Artists sent by the three Judicator Families. In the end, it took Kristina’s mother herself to capture him alive and throw him in prison.”

That’s a lot to process. A bloodthirsty maniac who killed so many people was merely imprisoned, not executed. Clearly, the three Judicator Families were unable to kill him!

”Once this person arrives on Biluo Island, it will be a catastrophe for Martial Artists from every country,” Qin Qing stated gravely.

Ye Xiu himself wasn’t afraid. The real problem is how the bloodthirsty maniac will infiltrate Biluo Island. It would be a disaster if I only managed to find and kill him after he’d already slaughtered countless people.

”The bloodthirsty maniac’s name is Beishan Xiao,” Tu La suddenly said with a retaliatory smirk. ”And he’s not even the most terrifying of all the prisoners. There are a few others who are even more horrifying than Beishan Xiao.”

Honestly, Tu La never expected the three Judicator Families to release the prisoners. It was an incredibly risky move that could endanger the lives of countless people in the Eternal Kingdom.

”It seems you know a lot about Beishan Xiao and the other prisoners,” Ye Xiu said, his eyes narrowed as he stared at Tu La.

”Of course,” Tu La shrugged, sneering through clenched teeth. ”But don’t even think about getting a single scrap of information about the prisoners from me.”

SLAP!

Ye Xiu struck him again and turned to Chloe. ”Go bring Kristina here. We’ll slice her up, piece by piece, right in front of him until he gives up every detail he has on the prisoners.”

Tu La’s face drained of color. He hadn’t expected Ye Xiu to resort to such a cruel method to force his hand. ”Wait, wait!” he cried out. ”I’ll talk! I’ll talk! Just don’t torture Kristina!”

Ye Xiu smiled. ”Chloe, go get a pen and paper. Have Tu La write down all the information he has on the prisoners and everything he knows about the three Judicator Families. If he dares to write any lies, slice Kristina up.”

”Got it,” Chloe nodded and ran into the villa to find a pen and paper.

Ye Xiu then turned to the Taoist Leader, Gongsun Jian. ”Senior, please go back and bring your people from Taoism to the Abandoned City stadium. What Huang Quan is about to say will be helpful to you and them.”

”Alright,” Gongsun Jian nodded but didn’t leave. Instead, he hesitated, ”Um, Mr. Ye, I’ve heard your medical skills are unparalleled. Could you... check Jiaojiao’s pulse?”

Ye Xiu paused, looking at the five-year-old girl who was still happily munching on meat. ”What’s wrong with her?”

”I think there might be something wrong with Jiaojiao’s mind,” Gongsun Jian said uncertainly.

”What kind of problem?” Ye Xiu asked.

”You’ll know if you test her,” Gongsun Jian replied.

Ye Xiu immediately squatted in front of Jiaojiao, suddenly noticing that the little girl was astonishingly beautiful. When she grows up, she’ll undoubtedly be a supreme beauty on the level of Gong Jin.

Jiaojiao, still gnawing on the meat, glanced at Ye Xiu and asked indistinctly, ”Big Brother, what’s up?”

”Jiaojiao, let me ask you, what is two minus one?” Ye Xiu asked gently.

Jiaojiao stared blankly for three seconds before bursting into tears. She wailed, ”Big Brother, Two is so mean! Why does he want to take away One? Poor One... Can you tell Two not to bully One, please?”

Ye Xiu was dumbfounded, as were Qin Qing, Leng Yue, and all the others.

Ye Xiu was stunned. This little girl Jiaojiao’s thought process was unbelievably convoluted! Impressive!

”Mr. Ye, do you see? What kind of illness is this?” the Taoist Leader asked, the corner of his mouth twitching.

Ye Xiu didn’t answer. He looked Jiaojiao up and down for a long moment, then took her greasy little hand to feel her pulse. Standing up, he said to Gongsun Jian, ”Let me take her in. I want to make her my disciple. Would that be alright?”
