Medical and Martial God

”Snatch his phone, give him a severe beating, and throw him off the set,” the Director ordered, his hands on his hips like a gang leader as he addressed the bodyguards and security staff.

”Hit him hard, just don’t kill him. I’ll cover the medical expenses,” Li Ran added with a smile.

Tajiguli and Zong Rui also joined the shouting. Their laughter grew ever more gleeful, but their words were even more ruthless.

In their eyes, dealing with a country bumpkin like Ye Xiu would be a piece of cake. After all, they had so many bodyguards and dozens of security personnel.

But in the very next moment, the smiles on everyone’s faces froze.

BANG!

All they saw was Ye Xiu lift his leg for a single kick. The lead bodyguard flew backward over their heads, landing with a clatter more than ten meters away.

Holy cow! How much strength would it take to kick a person into the air and send them flying that far?

The scene fell so quiet you could hear a pin drop.

Everyone stared at Ye Xiu, their mouths agape, as if looking at a monster.

Then they watched as Ye Xiu dove into the group like a tiger among wolves, launching an attack. His legs lashed out at the bodyguards and security personnel as if convulsing.

Amid screams of pain, it wasn’t long before all the bodyguards and security personnel had been kicked away.

The onlookers were all thoroughly shocked by Ye Xiu’s formidable strength. My god! Is he even human?

As for the Director, Li Ran, Tajiguli, Zong Rui, Wang Xuan, and Li Meng, they were scared silly by his power.

It was only then that they realized they had provoked a formidable figure from the mountains.

Meanwhile, Ye Lin’er and Chen Yang wore faint smiles. This was all within their expectations.

”So strong!”

”So damn powerful!”

”I’d kowtow until my head splits open if it means he’ll take me as his disciple!”

Having witnessed Ye Xiu’s power, Zhang San, Li Si, and Wang Wu were so moved they were on the verge of tears, their resolve to become his disciples hardening into steel.

”A mob of weaklings, utterly worthless!” Ye Xiu scoffed.

No one responded. They were all intimidated by the berserk martial power Ye Xiu had just shown.

”I recorded everything,” Chen Yang said with a smile.

”Good.” Ye Xiu nodded. He looked at the Director and the others and taunted, ”Attempting to destroy evidence and ganging up to assault the victim... This crime seems a bit more serious than framing someone, doesn’t it?”

The onlookers collectively scoffed in their minds. The victim? Ha! You just sent dozens of bodyguards and security personnel flying, and you’re the victim?

The Director, Li Ran, Tajiguli, Zong Rui, Wang Xuan, and Li Meng were so scared they were about to piss their pants.

Ye Xiu already had evidence of them framing him, and now he had proof that they had tried to destroy that evidence by ganging up on him.

If Ye Xiu handed both pieces of evidence to the Patrol Officers and pressed charges, the consequences would be unimaginable!

”Er, hehe...” The Director sidled up to Ye Xiu, forcing a smile onto his face. His posture was utterly sycophantic as he said, ”A misunderstanding, this is all a misunderstanding. Please, don’t take it to heart. Right, we can give you some compensation. Just name your price. You just can’t give that evidence to the Patrol Officers.”

Li Ran hurried over. ”Right, right! We’re willing to compensate! Besides, if you give the evidence to the Patrol Officers, the film crew will be finished. Ye Lin’er is just starting out in the entertainment industry, and it wasn’t easy for her to get this opportunity to shoot a reality show. You can’t ruin it for her out of a moment of anger.”

Zong Rui, Tajiguli, and the others also rushed over, lowering themselves and offering obsequious apologies.

Ye Lin’er, Chen Yang, and the onlookers were thoroughly disgusted by the Director and his group’s shamelessness. How shameless!

”I’ll hold onto the evidence for now. Maybe one day when I’m in a bad mood, I’ll hand it over to the Patrol Officers,” Ye Xiu said, looking at the Director’s group with contempt.

If he had wanted to take revenge on these people, he would have just killed them long ago; there would be no need for the hassle of collecting evidence. However, this reality show was too important to Ye Lin’er. Even if he were to get rid of the Director and the others, he would have to wait until after the show was filmed and aired.

”This...” The Director and the others felt their scalps tingle. They understood what he meant. Ye Xiu was planning to bleed them dry, using the evidence to control and extort them for the long term!

”Hehe, rest assured. While you’re with the film crew, we’ll be sure to keep you in high spirits,” Zong Rui said obsequiously, like a groveling servant, while giving the Director and the others a subtle look.

The Director, Li Ran, and Tajiguli were stunned for a moment before they understood Zong Rui’s meaning.

Zong Rui was the young master of the prestigious Zong Family, which had connections to the Ancient Martial Circle. He was suggesting they placate Ye Xiu for now, until he could bring in a Martial Artist to help them snatch the evidence from him.

Realizing this, the Director chuckled. ”Right, right, Zong Rui is correct. We’ll definitely keep you in a good mood.”

Li Ran and Tajiguli also hurried to agree.

Ye Xiu couldn’t be bothered to look at their disgusting faces anymore.

He went into his tent, came out with a plastic bag, and said to Zhang San, Li Si, and Wang Wu, ”Come here. I’ll treat your bruises.”

Aside from Ye Lin’er and Chen Yang, everyone was taken aback. Treatment? What? Does this country bumpkin even know Medical Skills?

”Brother, you’re a doctor too?” Zhang San asked.

”My main job is a bodyguard; being a doctor is a part-time gig.” Ye Xiu nodded. He took out the ointment he had prepared at the Wu Family estate the previous night. ”Spread this ointment evenly on your bruises. They’ll be gone in ten minutes.”

”Is it really that amazing?”

Zhang San, Li Si, and Wang Wu were stunned. Zhang San scooped a little ointment onto his finger and rubbed it on his bruised elbow. ”Whoa, that feels great!” he exclaimed.

Hearing this, Li Si and Wang Wu quickly started applying the ointment to their own bruises.

The Director, Li Ran, and the others watched quietly. They couldn’t understand why, after such a huge incident that morning, Ye Xiu was suddenly in the mood to treat the injuries of Zhang San, Li Si, and Wang Wu. Moreover, they didn’t believe he actually possessed Medical Skills. They certainly didn’t believe the dark, dog-dropping-like ointment in the plastic bag was as miraculous as he claimed.

Ten minutes later, Zhang San stared in amazement at his elbow. ”It really doesn’t hurt anymore, and the bruise is gone!” he exclaimed excitedly.

At the sight of this, the eyes of Li Ran, Tajiguli, Zong Rui, and their bodyguards lit up with greed. This was especially true for Li Ran and Tajiguli. They had even more bruises, and as beautiful women, it was crucial to get rid of them quickly before they interfered with filming.

”Um, I have some bruises too. Could you give me some ointment?” Li Ran asked with a saccharine smile, her voice cloying as she tried to act cute.

”Me too,” Tajiguli added quickly. ”Give me some too. I have more bruises than Li Ran.”

Ye Xiu glanced at them. ”My ointment is made from precious herbs and an ancestral prescription. It took forty-nine days to prepare, so it’s extremely valuable.”

Ye Lin’er and Chen Yang exchanged a look. A moment ago, they were wondering why Ye Xiu had suddenly decided to treat the injuries of Zhang San, Li Si, and Wang Wu. Now they understood.

He was planning to fleece Li Ran and the others!
