Medical and Martial God

Everyone in the Restorer Alliance group chat suddenly saw a notification: ”Huang Quan has joined the group chat!”

Instantly, everyone was frustrated again. The Restorer Alliance chat was the most secretive in the world, yet Huang Quan came and went as he pleased, as if he were just visiting a neighbor. And they couldn’t even stop him. How infuriating!

Meng Yinwan tentatively asked, ”You always have something to discuss when you join. What is it this time?”

Ye Xiu had already returned to his room and wasn’t outside eating kebabs and drinking beer with the people from Medicine King Valley and the Dongfang Family.

He replied, ”Who told you that the Three Judicator Families are planning to use the Mist Chant Martial Meeting to eliminate all Martial Artists worldwide?”

The people in the group were baffled. Why had the topic suddenly shifted to this?

Meng Yinwan said, ”The Three Judicator Families have scouts in every country. One of them had his cover blown by our people, and he let the secret slip after a few drinks.”

Huang Quan asked, ”Where is that scout now?”

Meng Yinwan replied, ”Killed!”

A bunch of dunces! That scout was clearly a sacrificial lamb sent by the Three Judicator Families to the Restorer Alliance.

He responded, ”Let me tell you some classified information. The Eternal Kingdom has a population of over one hundred million, with more than thirty million of them being Martial Artists. There are 3,600 experts at the Fifth Realm War God level or higher. After Yue Longxuan’s death, there are 3,599 left. This number doesn’t include the experts from the Three Judicator Families.”

After reading the message from Ye Xiu, everyone in the group got goosebumps.

The King of the Snow Region asked, ”Is your intelligence reliable?”

Huang Quan replied, ”Absolutely. Moreover, the Eternal Kingdom also has countless powerful Mutated Beasts.”

Damn, Huang Quan is really something else! The Restorer Alliance has been searching for over two thousand years without finding the stronghold of the Three Judicator Families. Yet Huang Quan seems to have not only found it but also figured out their exact strength. Incredible! Truly incredible!

The King of the Snow Region stated, ”Considering the strength of the Three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom, wiping out all Martial Artists worldwide would be a breeze. It seems unnecessary to use the Mist Chant Martial Meeting to do it.”

Meng Yinwan remarked, ”It seems this Mist Chant Martial Meeting is different from previous ones. The Three Judicator Families have another purpose.”

That’s the sentence I was waiting for!

Huang Quan chimed in, ”So, what do you all guess that purpose is?”

The group fell silent for a long time.

Meng Yinwan ventured, ”The Three Judicator Families are probing.”

The King of the Snow Region agreed, ”My thoughts exactly!”

Huang Quan pressed, ”Probing? Probing for what?”

Meng Yinwan asked, ”Have you heard of the Sword Holder and the Temple?”

Sword Holder? What the hell is that?

Huang Quan admitted, ”I’ve only heard of the Temple, not the Sword Holder.”

So Huang Quan isn’t omnipotent after all... Suddenly, everyone in the group felt he was a bit more down-to-earth.

Meng Yinwan explained, ”No one knows when the Sword Holder and the Temple first appeared. Our ancestors were taken as disciples by the Sword Holder over five thousand years ago. They were taught Cultivation Methods and followed the Sword Holder to fight against the Temple.

”Back then, Earth still had Spiritual Energy. But sometime before the Shang Dynasty, the Temple used some unknown method to seal away Earth’s Spiritual Energy. From then on, Earth entered an era of spiritual depletion, also known as the Dharma-ending Age.”

Ye Xiu’s eyes narrowed. All the myths of Xuanse took place before the Shang Dynasty. If Meng Yinwan wasn’t making things up, then those mythological stories weren’t just fabrications but adaptations of real events, albeit slightly skewed ones.

Ye Xiu continued to read.

Meng Yinwan continued, ”It’s possible there was a flaw in the Temple’s seal on the Spiritual Energy, and the Sword Holder managed to severely wound the Temple, forcing it to go into hiding. However, the Martial Artists trained by the Temple went on to form the Three Judicator Families.

”In that battle, it seems the Sword Holder was also heavily wounded and went into seclusion for many years.

”Over two thousand years ago, the Sword Holder reappeared. He left our ancestors behind, saying he was going to face the Temple in a final battle of life and death. He left and never returned. The Temple also vanished and has never been seen again.”

Meng Yinwan’s words contained a massive amount of information. However, Ye Xiu managed to summarize some useful intelligence:

First, the Totems and Special Abilities were not created by the Three Judicator Families, but by the Temple.

Second, what the Totem and Special Abilities Organizations, like Medicine King Valley, are guarding is likely the Spiritual Energy sealed by the Temple.

Third, when the Three Judicator Families granted Totems or Special Abilities to the ancestors of those organizations, it wasn’t voluntary but on the Temple’s direct command.

Huang Quan asked, ”You’ve been beating around the bush. What is the real purpose of the Three Judicator Families making this Mist Chant Martial Meeting different from the others?”

Meng Yinwan replied, ”To probe. The Temple and the Sword Holder haven’t been seen for over two thousand years, so the Judicator Families aren’t sure if they’ve truly been destroyed. They want to use the Mist Chant Martial Meeting to annihilate the Restorer Alliance and every Martial Artist on the planet to see if they can lure out the Sword Holder or the Temple. The Restorer Alliance is descended from the Sword Holder’s followers, so if the Sword Holder is still alive, he would certainly intervene. At that point, the Temple might also reveal itself.

”If neither the Sword Holder nor the Temple appears, then with the power the Three Judicator Families possess, they will likely act on the ambitions they’ve suppressed for over two thousand years.”

Global domination?

Ye Xiu narrowed his eyes. The ambitions of the Three Judicator Families were certainly not small. No wonder even a place like Biluo Island, an island inhabited by lower-class people, had an army of 200,000. However, Meng Yinwan’s guess wasn’t necessarily correct. He would remain skeptical for now.

Huang Quan asked, ”Do you know where the Temple sealed the Spiritual Energy?”

Meng Yinwan replied, ”If we knew, we would have tried to break the seal long ago.”

Huang Quan asked, ”Do you know the locations of all the Totem and Special Abilities Organizations around the world?”

Meng Yinwan asked, ”No, we don’t. Do you?”

”Huang Quan has left the group chat!”

The members of the Restorer Alliance were left speechless. Why would he leave the group mid-conversation like that?

Meng Yinwan mused, ”Do you think Huang Quan could be the Sword Holder?”

The King of the Snow Region replied, ”His strength is unbelievably immense, and he has no known master or lineage. He could very well be the Sword Holder. But he seems to be completely unaware of the history of the Sword Holder and the Temple. What could that mean?”

Meng Yinwan theorized, ”Perhaps he is a descendant of the Sword Holder. The previous Sword Holder might have died before they could pass down their history and mission, which is why he knows nothing.”

The King of the Snow Region said, ”That makes sense!”

Meng Yinwan added, ”If he really is a descendant of the Sword Holder, then he is our master.”

The King of the Snow Region chuckled. ”Heh, haven’t we already tacitly accepted him as the Alliance Hierarch of the Restorer Alliance?”

Everyone in the group felt a collective wave of depression. They suddenly realized that regardless of whether Huang Quan was a descendant of the Sword Holder or not, they could no longer escape his control!

「...」

Lying in bed, Ye Xiu pondered the fact that the Restorer Alliance didn’t actually know the locations of the Totem Organizations, like those of Medicine King Valley.

Should I tell them? No!

Either the Temple or the Three Judicator Families had tampered with the Sealed Lands in the Extreme Abyss. The Spiritual Energy was toxic; if the seals were broken, all humans and creatures on Earth would turn into monsters.

Ye Xiu took out his phone and sent a message: ”Bring me an animal that has been mutated by the toxic gas emitted from the Extreme Abyss. Also, send people to all the locations guarded by the Totem and Special Abilities Organizations to collect gas samples for me. Be quick!”

Ye Xiu planned to first research a way to neutralize the poison in the Spiritual Energy. This was to prevent all the Sealed Lands from spiraling out of control after he eventually destroyed the Three Judicator Families.

After sending the message, Ye Xiu drifted off to sleep.
