Medical and Martial God

Kristina was filled with indignant fury. The power of the three great Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom vastly outstripped that of the Restorer Alliance. Even without the Judicator Families’ intervention, the Eternal Kingdom alone could crush the Restorer Alliance!

And yet, without even catching a glimpse of the Restorer Alliance, the Eternal Kingdom had already lost over 3,000 people, including the Fifth Realm War God Yue Longxuan.

The strong had been defeated by the weak, and so miserably at that! It’s absurd!

”I feel like something is wrong,” Kristina said, her face grim. ”I have an intuition that the Restorer Alliance’s power in Nanjing isn’t as strong as we imagined. There must be another reason for our devastating defeat.”

Lin Xin instantly understood her meaning. ”Are you talking about Huang Quan?”

”Yes!” Kristina nodded. ”Huang Quan has held the world in awe for a decade, and no one knows how many cards he holds. It’s possible he controls a massive intelligence network that spans Nanjing and even the entire world. He could have provided intelligence to the Restorer Alliance, which is why we suffered such a terrible loss.”

”That makes sense.” Lin Xin narrowed his eyes, pondering for a moment before saying, ”It seems we need to kill Huang Quan first. But our foundation in Nanjing is limited, and we don’t even know where he’s hiding. How can we possibly kill him?”

”Martial Artists above the rank of Great Grandmaster from all over the world are about to arrive in Nanjing. They are all our eyes and ears,” Kristina said.

”And you think they’d dare to investigate Huang Quan?” Lin Xin asked.

Kristina fell silent. For a decade, martial artists across the globe had been under Huang Quan’s thumb, and their fear of him was indelible. Perhaps, in their hearts, the terror inspired by Huang Quan was even greater than that of the three great Judicator Families.

After some thought, she said, ”At the very least, all the Totem and Special Abilities organizations in the world are at my disposal.”

Lin Xin nodded. ”Those people wouldn’t dare defy the three great Judicator Families, but they are too weak. The Eternal Kingdom still needs to send more people to Nanjing.”

Send more people? How? Every batch that comes, dies!

Suddenly, an idea struck Kristina. ”I can have the Eternal Kingdom’s translocation points changed to other City Mansions. Moreover, this time we can have them arrive scattered, translocating from different locations. They’ll first arrive in other cities in Xuanse, then split up and infiltrate Nanjing individually.”

”A brilliant plan!” Lin Xin’s eyes lit up. ”Although it will take more time, it’s our only option now! By the way, the medicinal ingredients you promised Ye Xiu were stolen by the Restorer Alliance. What will you tell him?”

The mention of Ye Xiu made Kristina seethe with anger, but since she had made a promise, she couldn’t go back on her word. ”I will have the Eternal Kingdom prepare another batch,” she said.

What Kristina didn’t know was that Ye Xiu had instructed Mo Luo and Dizang to hijack those two planes full of medicinal ingredients for the sole purpose of making the Eternal Kingdom send another batch. Reducing the Eternal Kingdom’s reserves of precious medicinal ingredients was a crucial part of Ye Xiu’s long-term plan to attack the three great Judicator Families.

Ye Xiu was busy until dawn the next day before he finally ’convinced’ all the villagers to relocate.

Just as he returned to the Wu Family’s estate, he saw a massive crowd in the backyard having a barbecue. They were all from Medicine King Valley and the Dongfang Family, numbering over 1,000 people, each possessing the strength of a Second Realm War God.

Previously, Medicine King Valley and the Dongfang Family didn’t have so many Second Realm War Gods. But Ye Xiu had told Bai Shan Jun that death was a shortcut to awakening the Life Totem. Suddenly, all the Great Grandmasters and First Realm War Gods of Medicine King Valley had committed suicide to awaken their Life Totems, gaining the power of Second Realm War Gods.

As for the Dongfang Family, all their Great Grandmasters and First Realm War Gods had voluntarily poisoned themselves. After Tang Bo extracted the Blood Poison, they awakened their Totem powers.

”What are you all doing here?” Ye Xiu asked.

”Little brother, you’re back,” An Dongye said, sauntering over with a bottle of beer. ”We didn’t tell you on purpose. We wanted to give you a surprise.”

Ye Xiu was taken aback by An Dongye’s appearance. With gold rings on every finger, a designer watch on each wrist, a thumb-thick gold chain around her neck, and a full set of designer clothes, she was the very picture of the nouveau riche. It seems this girl has scammed a lot of money on the Martial Artist forums, but her taste is certainly lacking.

Nevertheless, Ye Xiu didn’t comment on it. ”Since you’re all here, you can stay at the Wu Family Fortress. The people the Wu Family forced to live there have all moved out.”

”I don’t care about them. I think the Wu Family Estate is nice, so I’m staying here,” An Dongye said with a brash finality. She was the only one who wasn’t afraid of Ye Xiu.

At that moment, Bai Shan Jun, the Valley Master of Medicine King Valley, came over. ”Master has arranged accommodations for us, but the martial artists from around the world don’t have that luxury. They might cause trouble over lodging.”

Ye Xiu smiled reassuringly. ”You don’t need to worry about that. All the villages within a hundred-mile radius of the Mist Chant Martial Meeting have been vacated. The Eight Great National Protector War Gods will assign these villages to the martial artists from across the globe.”

This arrangement would inevitably cause losses for the villagers, but Ye Xiu would compensate them. The money for that compensation would be dutifully paid by the martial artists from the various countries.

Then, a question occurred to Ye Xiu. ”Bai Shan Jun, the three Judicator Families support over two hundred Totem Organizations. Why did they specifically assign the Long Family as a subsidiary family to Medicine King Valley?”

Bai Shan Jun was stunned for a moment. ”Master, I never even realized that until you mentioned it. It does seem that only Medicine King Valley has a subsidiary family; the other Totem Organizations do not.”

Ye Xiu’s eyes narrowed. ”It seems the object that Medicine King Valley guards in the Extreme Abyss of Hundred Flowers Valley is truly extraordinary.”

Bai Shan Jun thought so as well. ”You previously mentioned that this Mist Chant Martial Meeting is different from past ones,” he said, ”and that the three Judicator Families intend to use it to eliminate all martial artists above the rank of Great Grandmaster. I feel that intelligence might be inaccurate.”

Ye Xiu had already realized this but hadn’t said so. ”Tell me your thoughts.”

Bai Shan Jun considered it for a moment. ”The Eternal Kingdom is incredibly mysterious and has no contact with any other nation. Eliminating all the world’s martial artists is a massive undertaking that would have to be a top-secret plan. How could the Restorer Alliance have possibly found out about it? Besides, with the strength of the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom, they have no need to cause such a commotion. It would be all too easy for them to eliminate the world’s martial artists quietly. I feel the Judicator Families deliberately leaked this information to draw the attention of the Restorer Alliance, the world’s Martial Artists above the rank of Great Grandmaster, and everyone else to this location. Their true objective is definitely not the Mist Chant Martial Meeting.”

Ye Xiu looked at Bai Shan Jun in surprise. This old man, who has lived in seclusion in Hundred Flowers Valley and paid no mind to worldly affairs, has a truly meticulous mind!

”Then what do you think the real purpose of the three Judicator Families is?” Ye Xiu asked.

”I don’t know,” Bai Shan Jun said, shaking his head. ”What do you think, Master?”

Ye Xiu didn’t answer, because he didn’t know either. However, his intuition told him that the three Judicator Families were plotting something monumental. If he couldn’t uncover their true purpose soon, then everything he had done in Nanjing would be for nothing. Simply killing a few thousand, or even tens of thousands, of their people wouldn’t be enough to truly damage the foundations of the three Judicator Families and the Eternal Kingdom.
