The door was closed. In the room, Lu Ye sat down on a large chair and placed the Inviolable Saber beside him before closing his eyes to get some rest.

Meanwhile, the young girl, who bore some resemblance to Ye Liuli, stood beside him.

The corpse on the floor stank terribly and was revolting, but the young girl wasn’t afraid at all. That was because Lu Ye gave her a great sense of security.

She stole glances at the man before saying, “The Manor Master was killed by the Second Manor Master.”

Lu Ye opened his eyes and turned to look at her curiously. “How do you know?”

She was just a commoner. Even though she was a servant of Tyrant Blade Manor, she shouldn’t be aware of many secrets. Moreover, even Lu Ye and Ye Liuli knew nothing about the truth a while back.

The young girl pointed at the corpse and explained, “He told me something when he started spouting nonsense previously.”

Only then did Lu Ye realise why the young girl was aware of it.

Ye Lang was mentally distorted, and he forced the young girl to act like Ye Liuli. Perhaps he started saying nonsense when he was excited, which was why the young girl got to know some secrets.

“What else did he say?”

Although Lu Ye wasn’t interested in the manor’s affairs, it wasn’t a bad idea to find out what had happened. After all, he had to let Ye Liuli know the truth.

After giving it some thought, the young girl replied, “He’s the crux of the problem. When the Manor Master was still around, this guy did many immoral things but always went unpunished because of his identity. However, with the Second Manor Master’s restriction, he never dared to cross the line. It wasn’t until a while back that he did something horrible. I have no idea what the matter was. Although the Second Manor Master tried to conceal it, the Manor Master still found out about it in the end.”

After a pause, she continued, “An enraged Manor Master ordered that he was confined. In fact, the Manor Master had always been aware of his wrongdoings, but he didn’t punish him, considering that this guy was the Second Manor Master’s only Son. Several days ago, the Manor Master left the manor. The Second Manor Master contacted those from Divine Will Sect and told them the Manor Master’s whereabouts. That was why the Manor Master was killed, and following that, those from Divine Will Sect came to attack the manor. I’m sure you know the rest of the story.”

Suddenly, she recalled something. “By the way, those from Divine Will Sect are still in the manor.”

“Okay.” Lu Ye nodded.

It wasn’t different from the information he had gleaned from the cultivator, but it was more detailed. The destruction of Tyrant Blade Manor was caused by a feud between the two Brothers. To save his only Son’s life, Ye Xiong partnered up with Divine Will Sect and caused the tragedy.

The doubt in Lu Ye’s heart was finally solved. Previously, he didn’t understand why Ye Xiong would do such a thing. It all made sense if he did it for Ye Lang.

Ye Xiong treasured his only Son. Although he had many women, he only had one Son in the end. Compared to how many children Ye Ying had, he must be displeased.

Furthermore, his only Son was frail, so he might not even have any offspring. On the other hand, Ye Ying’s seven children were all brilliant.

There was no doubt Human nature was complicated.

The only Son that Ye Xiong had spent so much effort to protect was now lying on the floor motionless. Even his corpse had turned cold.

“Shh!” Lu Ye suddenly placed a finger on his lips.

The young girl quickly kept her mouth shut with an anxious expression.

Someone was approaching the courtyard. He was none other than the Second Manor Master, Ye Xiong. He sported a solemn expression, though he appeared somewhat helpless.

Partnering up with Divine Will Sect was a dangerous idea, but he had no other choice.

Ye Lang had made many mistakes in the past, but Ye Ying didn’t settle the score with him for Ye Xiong’s sake and only told him to discipline his Son. However, Ye Lang had crossed the line this time, for he had forced himself on several women and killed them.

That was why Ye Ying was enraged.

Ye Xiong had to make a move first. Otherwise, his only Son would be killed.

Nevertheless, even though he had saved Ye Lang’s life, he had fallen into a vortex that he could never get out of.

Tyrant Blade Manor was a thing of the past. From now on, it was just a subsidiary of the Divine Will Sect, which was why he was frustrated.

Although Ye Ying was the Manor Master back then, they were Brothers, after all. Now that Ye Xiong had to obey those from Divine Will Sect, his life would be restricted in many ways.

[It’s all because of that bastard!]

At the thought of this, an enraged Ye Xiong decided to go looking for his Son and teach him a lesson.

All of a sudden, he stopped in his tracks and sniffled before his expression changed.

That was because he could smell a metallic tang in the air.

The next moment, he dashed into the courtyard and saw the corpses of the two bodyguards.

There were two auras inside the room. One of them seemed to be nervous as their heart was pounding hard. Since the person was a commoner, Ye Xiong could ignore them. However, the other person seemed to be a cultivator.

“No way!” An apprehensive Ye Xiong charged forward and pushed the door open. His pupils dilated when he saw what was inside the room.

A person he didn’t expect to see was seated on a large chair while staring coldly at him. A familiar figure was lying on the floor beside this person, but he was cold and dead.

“Ye Six!” Ye Xiong growled as his Spiritual Power and vitality surged. The fury in his chest erupted like a volcano.

He had never expected that Ye Six, who was supposed to be dead, would appear in Tyrant Blade Manor and even kill his Son.

Although Ye Lang was terrible and annoying, he was the only hope for Ye Xiong if he wanted grandchildren.

However, at that moment, Ye Lang was lying on the floor, dead and motionless. It wasn’t surprising that Ye Xiong was incensed.

“Go to Hell!” Ye Xiong bellowed and pounced on Lu Ye without hesitation or saying anything redundant.

Since Ye Ying wanted to kill his Son, Ye Xiong had to end his Brother’s life. Now that Ye Six had killed his Son, he also had to go to Hell.

Ye Xiong’s hair flapped in the air as he had never been more furious. While he was charging forward, a saber appeared in his hand.

At the same time, Lu Ye dashed forward as well.

Since there was a commoner beside him, he couldn’t let Ye Xiong approach him. Otherwise, the repercussions of the fight would turn the young girl into ashes.

He had built a Defensive Ward around the young girl. She would be fine as long as the battlefield wasn’t in the room.

The two figures soon clashed. Two sabers with identical shapes and lengths clanged against each other as sparks scattered everything and saber cries were heard.

Lu Ye felt an immense force sweeping over him, making him almost lose grip of his saber.

He became aware of Ye Xiong’s cultivation after the latter made a move.

[He’s an Eighth-Order Cloud River Realm Master.]

In Soaring Dragon Boundary, there were a lot of River Cloud Realm Masters, but there were only a small number of Ninth-Order Masters. The percentage was low compared to Jiu Zhou.

Perhaps it had something to do with the unique environment in the Boundary. When a cultivator reached the Cloud River Realm, his progress would slow down significantly. There seemed to be an especially huge gap between the Eighth Order and the Ninth Order.

However, such a thing wouldn’t happen in Jiu Zhou. As long as a cultivator had accumulated enough Spiritual Power, he would ascend from the Eighth Order to the Ninth Order safely.

In the great forces of Soaring Dragon Boundary, there might be a lot of long-time Eighth-Order Masters, but there would only be a small number of Ninth-Order Masters.

That was the reason those from Tyrant Blade Manor had managed to gain a foothold in Feng Zhou even though it was a familial great force.

Ye Ying was a Ninth-Order Master, but Ye Xiong, the Second Manor Master, was only an Eighth-Order Master.

Due to the difficulty in achieving a breakthrough, the Cloud River Realm Masters in Soaring Dragon Boundary were generally stronger than those in Jiu Zhou if they were in the same Order.

That was because they could solidify and strengthen their cultivation by staying in the same Realm longer.

Therefore, the moment they exchanged moves, Lu Ye noticed some differences.

If he hadn’t entered Hundred Wards Tower, it would’ve been difficult for him to deal with an Eighth-Order Master like Ye Xiong.

However, he reached the next Minor Realm after a trip to Hundred Wards Tower. This kind of improvement wouldn’t have a huge impact on the average cultivator.

Nevertheless, to a cultivator like Lu Ye, who had ample heritage, ascension to the next Minor Realm would translate into a huge increase in power.

He certainly felt pressured, but it wasn’t to the point where it would break him. Ye Xiong’s power wasn’t beyond his expectations.

Unlike how calm and collected Lu Ye was, Ye Xiong was flabbergasted. That was because his ferocious attack was fended off.

[How is that even possible?]

He could clearly feel that the brat before his eyes was in the Sixth Order, which was two Minor Realms behind him. He initially thought that his attack would badly injure him even if it couldn’t kill him. It turned out that his attack didn’t even harm him one bit.

[What’s going on with him?]

Ye Six rarely stayed in the manor as he loved venturing into the outside world. He would only return one to two times every year. Therefore, Ye Xiong knew little about Ye Six’s power.

It wasn’t until this moment that he realised Ye Six was more powerful than everyone’s imagination. His heritage was even stronger than that of Ye Ying.

Ye Xiong’s fury subsided in an instant. Suddenly, he recalled that when he entered the room, Lu Ye was calmly seated on the chair.

[It’s no wonder he’s so calm and collected. He’s more powerful than we thought. But so what? Since my Son is dead, he has to die as well!]

“Go to Hell!” Ye Xiong roared and wielded his saber.

At that moment, two figures got into a life-and-death battle in the courtyard. Saber Lights flickered as invisible Qi spread across the place and caused walls to collapse.

The young girl exclaimed when the walls came crashing down. Fortunately, she wasn’t injured thanks to the Defensive Ward’s protection. However, she and the ward’s light screen were now covered in debris.

The clangs of the weapons and the noise of the battle alerted everyone in the manor. Despite the noise, no one dared to go over and take a look. Only a figure flew past the lake that was shaped like a saber. The person’s aura showed that he was a Ninth-Order Master.

Ye Ying was the only Ninth-Order Master in the manor. Now that he was dead, it was apparent that the new Ninth-Order Master was an outsider.

He was none other than the Deputy Sect Master of the Divine Will Sect, Pang Wanhai.

He arrived at the manor for Tyrant Blade Technique because he was also well-versed in the Way of Blades.
