Chapter 688, A Determined Person Despite His Disabilities

Longwind Village was located ten kilometres away from Tyrant Blade Manor. The villagers were all honest people, and they were grateful towards Tyrant Blade Manor for always looking after them.

Lu Ye settled Ye Liuli down in one of the families and told Yi Yi and Amber to take care of her. Then, he headed to Tyrant Blade Manor on his own under the night sky.

The destruction of her family and the bad news Ye Liuli had just heard were devastating, so she blacked out in an instant and hadn’t regained consciousness until now.

They didn’t have to worry about anyone exposing their whereabouts. Although the villagers were not cultivators, they were grateful. They had been living their lives peacefully over the years thanks to the protection of Tyrant Blade Manor, so they naturally could recognise Lu Ye and Ye Liuli.

Therefore, leaving Ye Liuli in the village wouldn’t be a problem. Moreover, since Yi Yi and Amber were by her side, they could contact Lu Ye if anything happened.

This was the kind of convenience the cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary didn’t have. They had a way to send messages to each other, but it wasn’t remotely comparable to the Battlefield Imprints that cultivators in Jiu Zhou used.

Cultivators in Soaring Dragon Boundary relied on transmission stones to send each other messages. However, they couldn’t send a lot of messages in one go, and there was a huge restriction in terms of distance. They wouldn’t be able to contact each other if they were too far apart.

It was unlike Jiu Zhou where as long as they were in the same space, they could contact each other at any moment irrespective of the distance.

The sky was dark, and the wind was howling.

Lu Ye calmly walked towards Tyrant Blade Manor, and he moved across ten kilometres pretty quickly.

It was a huge manor with many buildings that had been neatly arranged. There was an artificial lake in the middle of the manor. From the bird’s-eye view, the lake looked like a saber that was a part of the place. The lake was connected to everywhere in the manor.

Behind the manor was a mountain range. Usually, it was a scenic place. However, after the bloody battle a while back, the place was now filled with a sense of somberness. Many buildings had been damaged.

Many people were seen walking around the manor. They were the bodyguards and servants.

Although Tyrant Blade Manor was a great force, it was different from the other Sects. Fundamentally, it was a familial great force.

Many bodyguards and servants were killed in the previous battle. Some managed to flee while some survived and stayed in the manor.

Although the Manor Master and his children were either dead or missing, the Second Manor Master was still around.

The real Ye Six was certainly familiar with the manor. However, Lu Ye was an Outsider, after all. Even though he had obtained some information, he knew little about the details.

He activated a Glyph that could conceal his presence and breathing before he walked around the manor and looked for his target.

Suddenly, someone was heard wailing in a particular direction. Realising something, Lu Ye moved in that direction and soon arrived at a courtyard.

The wail was clearly audible. It sounded like a young girl was being tortured and begging for mercy. Then, someone was heard growling sternly, “You’re such a b*tch! Go to Hell!”

The assaulter’s breathing was weak, and he didn’t seem to be in the pink of health as he coughed violently while attacking the woman.

Lu Ye instantly realised who the person was. He was none other than Ye Xiong’s only Son, Ye Lang.

“Please spare my life, Young Master! Please!” The young girl pleaded with him, but it was pointless as she was assaulted even more violently.

Lu Ye frowned. Since he started cultivating, he had only been in contact with cultivators. It had been a long time since he last interacted with any commoners.

Cultivators were easily distinguished by their Realms and strength. If there was a feud between two people, they would get into a life-and-death battle. Such cruel torture rarely happened.

Therefore, he felt a sense of discomfort upon hearing the young girl’s plea.

Ye Lang suddenly fell silent, and only the young girl was heard sobbing. A moment later, Ye Lang said, “Stop crying, Liuli. It must be hurtful. I-I don’t even know what’s wrong with me. I didn’t mean to hurt you.” He coughed.

“Please don’t kill me, Young Master…” The young girl continued to beg for mercy.

Suddenly, Ye Lang’s voice turned icy. “Liuli wouldn’t talk to me like this. It seems that you’re unable to learn anything. What’s the point of keeping you here, then?”

The young girl sounded even more anxious. “I’ll learn, Young Master. I’ll learn…”

“But you’re not Liuli, after all…”

Just then, two thuds were heard. The bodyguards, who had been keeping guard outside the room, collapsed to the ground as the air was filled with a metallic tang.

The noise outside shocked Ye Lang, who was inside the room. However, he was just a commoner who had never cultivated before, so he had no idea what had happened outside. He bellowed, “What’s going on?”

All of a sudden, the door was pushed open as a figure stepped into the room.

Ye Lang growled, “Who told you…”

Before he could finish his words, his face was transformed by horror. As he looked at the person in front of him, he almost couldn’t believe his eyes. He pointed at Lu Ye and stammered, “Y-You…”

He hadn’t expected to see Ye Six, who was supposed to be dead.

In the doorway, Lu Ye took a look and saw a pale Ye Lang. A young girl, whose face was covered with wounds, was kneeling beside him.

The young girl’s appearance shared some similarities with Ye Liuli. Lu Ye wondered where Ye Lang got the woman from.

Judging from what Ye Lang said when he was assaulting the woman, he seemed to have some lustful thoughts for Ye Liuli. He didn’t dare to express his desire in the past, but he didn’t have any restraints now.

Ye Lang was born to be frail, so he had always been not in the pink of health. Fortunately, Tyrant Blade Manor was wealthy, so they had enough money to help nurture his body. Otherwise, he would’ve passed away a long time ago. However, he would still fall ill from time to time.

Since he had been tortured by all sorts of illnesses from a young age, he had become mentally distorted. When Ye Ying was the Manor Master back then, Ye Lang didn’t dare to be impudent, and he could only do many immoral things in secret. Now that Ye Ying’s family was destroyed, no one could restrain him any longer. As such, he started revealing his true colours.

“You’re still alive, Sixth Brother.” Ye Lang soon recovered from his shock and appeared surprised. There seemed to be a sincere smile on his face, as though he was genuinely happy that Lu Ye had survived.

“If my Father finds out about it, he’ll be pleased. Have you contacted him?” Ye Lang asked.

Lu Ye only looked impassively at him while admiring his audacity. Ye Lang was extremely frail, but he was still so licentious. It could be said that he was a determined person despite his disabilities.

As a commoner who had never cultivated before, his response showed just how cunning he was. Under normal circumstances, a commoner could never respond as quickly as he did.

On Mount Magnifique a while back, Lu Ye had gleaned some information from a cultivator who had tried to kill them. However, he wasn’t interested in that. He just wanted to find out what had happened. Since he was Ye Six, he had to act in a way that matched his identity.

To get his revenge, he had to find out who the mastermind was.

Now, it seemed that the information he had gleaned from the cultivator before killing him was true.

The destruction of Tyrant Blade Manor was caused by a feud between the Brothers.

Otherwise, it couldn’t explain why Ye Ying’s family was destroyed while Ye Xiong’s only Son was still alive and kicking. He was even in the mood to torture a young girl.

“Why are you looking at me like this? I’m your cousin…” Ye Lang appeared flustered because there was something off about the way Lu Ye stared at him. For some reason, he found Lu Ye strange, as though he had never known him before.

At this point, he was ready to shout to alert the others. However, before he could say anything, a Saber Light broke through the air and penetrated his mouth before shooting out from the back of his head.

Since Lu Ye started cultivating, he had never killed a commoner before. The people he had destroyed were all cultivators from Thousand Demon Ridge who wanted to harm him.

Anyway, as a cultivator, it was inappropriate for him to kill a commoner.

However, he didn’t feel any moral pressure when killing Ye Lang.

The corpse collapsed with his face to the floor. The young girl, who bore some resemblance to Ye Liuli, was rooted to the spot. She turned her head in a dazed state and saw the blood-soaked corpse. It was only then did she come to her senses and look sorrowfully at Lu Ye. “Sixth Young Master…”

Judging from how she addressed Lu Ye, he realised that the young girl was also a servant of this manor.

She wasn’t horrified that the torturer was killed right before her eyes. Instead, she was relieved and glad. If not for Lu Ye’s appearance, she would’ve been killed.

“Please leave right away, Sixth Young Master! The Second Manor Master will be here at any moment,” the young girl said anxiously.

Ye Xiong treasured his only Son, so he would visit him every night. Although the young girl was a commoner who had never cultivated before, she knew Lu Ye was no match for Ye Xiong.

Since Lu Ye had killed Ye Lang, there was no way Ye Xiong would let him off. He would be doomed by then.

“Oh, it’ll save me the trouble, then.” Lu Ye arched his brow as he decided to change his plan.

He initially wanted to sneak into the manor and kill Ye Xiong. Since the man would be coming, Lu Ye didn’t have to go looking for him.

After all, he wasn’t familiar with the manor, so it would be difficult for him to look for anyone.

When he saw that the young girl was clad only in thin clothes that could barely cover her figure, he fished out some clothes and tossed them at her.

Only then did the young girl snap back to reality and put on the clothes.

“Don’t leave for now since it’s not safe here. You can leave when I’m done with everything,” Lu Ye ordered.

“Yes.” The young girl was absent-minded. She felt that Lu Ye was different from the past.

Back then, Lu Ye rarely returned to Tyrant Blade Manor, but when he did, he always looked energetic and cheerful. However, he was taciturn this time.

Anyway, she understood that anyone’s personality would change after such a tragedy happened to him.

Regardless, the manor’s servants had a good impression of the Young Masters. That was because Ye Ying was an upright person, so the children he brought up were also righteous people. They had never done anything immoral.
