Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Different from Mui and Bai Ning who still found themselves inside the sect, Chu Yang, Chun Hua and Qing Yi all found themselves outside the sect, as all three of them were out exploring the world. Chu Yang doing so on his own, while Chun Hua and Qing Yi were moving together.

Another difference between the Chu Yang and the two girls was also the fact that he was currently exploring the Eastern Central Region far away from the territory of the Star Shattering Sect where chaos reigned and it wasn’t difficult to accidentally stumble on a powerful cultivator in the Dao Seed Realm, while Chun Hua and Qing Yi were just exploring the territory of the former Sky Empire.

Compared to Chu Yang, they were directly next to the territory of the Star Shattering Sect, while at the same time also finding themselves in a territory that, although chaotic, feared and respected the Star Shattering Sect.

After all, it was clear to anyone in the chaotic territory of the former Sky Empire that the next direction that the Star Shattering Sect would be expanding in would be their direction.

For this reason, everyone tried their best to create a positive image of themselves in the eyes of the Star Shattering Sect… And especially so in the eyes of Chun Hua and Qing Yi, who clearly had a far higher status in the sect compared to the other disciples of the Star Shattering Sect they had learnt about so far.

Not to mention, their strength alone was already enough to dissuade most ill-intentioned people.

Even if there had been an increase in the number of Soul Ascension Realm cultivators present in the territory of the fallen Sky Empire after the Star Shattering Sect drew the attention of the different major powers in the Northern Central Region, to most, the Domain Lord Realm was still considered the peak of strength while the Soul Ascension Realm remained out of reach.

Chun Hua and Qing Yi both having reached the Seventh Stage of the Domain Lord Realm was more than enough for them to ensure their own safety.

Although, as a side effect of their status as disciples of the Star Shattering Sect and them not bothering to hide their young age, their reputation soon began spreading throughout the Northern Central Region and the rest of the continent. Resulting in the two becoming known as leading disciples of the Star Shattering Sect’s younger generation and some of the most promising among the younger generation of the continent.

In the eyes of the different major powers, though the disciples of the Star Shattering Sect were not considered bad, it lacked any truly talented individuals beforehand.

Only with the appearance of Chun Hua and Qing Yi did the Star Shattering Sect’s younger generation start living up to the reputation of an ancient hidden sect.

Unkowningly, Chun Hua and Qing Yi’s adventure outside the sect seeking to increase their comprehension of the Dao of Alchemy ended up resulting in the Star Shattering Sect’s identity as an ancient hidden sect stabilizing further in the minds of the different major powers in the Northern Central Region. Even reaching the point where the Star Shattering Sect’s reputation started spreading beyond the Northern Central Region.

Of course, along with them becoming known for being among the strongest of the younger generation, it attracted the attention of other young talents who wanted to prove themselves as being stronger.

Although most of these young talents didn’t bother travelling all the way to the outer region of the Northern Central Region, there were still some proud ones who decided to go, though most of them came from the Northern Central Region.

After all, it was no joke to travel from one region of the continent to another. Especially now that the situation was becoming increasingly unstable with the increasing pressure brought by the demonic cultivators trying to break into the central region of the continent.

In this kind of situation, a talented younger talent travelling out of their own home was a risk, as they could be targeted by not just enemies of the power they belonged to, but also the demonic cultivators that might be lurking inside the central region.

Chu Yang on the other hand, didn’t draw anywhere near the same level of attention as his two fellow disciples, though that mostly had to do with him deliberately concealing his own age while travelling, while also staying in one of the most chaotic regions on the continent.

Even when he did end up causing some chaos, it would quickly be drowned out and forgotten by something different happening in another part of the Eastern Central Region.

More importantly, his strength at the Initial Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm that was comparable to someone in the Earlier Stages of the Soul Ascension Realm wasn’t that impressive in the Eastern Central Region.

Not weak so to speak and still considered close to the top, but with Dao Seed Realm cultivators and even Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators being active regularly throughout the Eastern Central Region, he couldn’t really cause any waves.

His young age becoming known could help with this, but Chu Yang had absolutely no reason to paint a target on his head and intended to remain unknown until he became stronger. Partially because he had made quite a few enemies during his time in the neutral territory at the borders of the Blue Sea Empire and he didn’t want them to potentially learn about his whereabouts.

The main reason for this being that he had recently learnt that one of the enemies he had made was not only in the Celestial Immortal Realm of the Blue Sea Empire but also seemed to be connected to an even stronger existence.

How did he learn this kind of information? Well… The person in question had put out a request for his head throughout the continent. Spending no small amount of spirit stones to find his grandson’s killer…

In turn, this had allowed him to learn about the person whose grandson he had ended up killing in self-defense.

The person was an ancestor of the Blue Sea Empire at the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm, well known for his love of his… Grandson… Who he had ended up killing.

However, the thing that was most interesting about this senior figure of the Blue Sea Empire was not his love for his grandson, but instead that it was widely rumored that he had an older brother who had surpassed the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm.

This elder brother wasn’t a part of the Blue Sea Empire and was a unique wandering cultivator in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Because of this, information about this older brother was difficult to come by. Especially with his current cultivation still being far from the Celestial Immortal Realm. Making some information more difficult to learn.

If he wanted to learn some things, he would first need to become stronger... Or find his master for help…

Anyway… Chu Yang was not intimidated after learning that he had not one Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator, but potential two trying to find him and just used it as motivation to grow stronger.

The main way he did this was through direct combat… And there was no lack of battles in the Eastern Central Region where war was constant and large-scale wars between major powers erupted on an almost weekly basis.

The simplest way to gain combat experience and further nurture his Dao of the Spear was through these large-scale conflicts that erupted between the different major powers, as they would always be recruiting wandering cultivators to make up numbers.

Although this was dangerous as these kinds of conflicts almost always involved cultivators at the Dao Seed Realm, Chu Yang found this kind of dangerous environment to be the best for honing his spear, as only when real danger was involved would he be able to rapidly increase his strength.

Not to mention, if the situation really ended up becoming dangerous, he could always retreat and leave the battlefield.

Considering his status as nothing more than a hired sword and his strength only being at the Earlier Stages of the Soul Ascension Realm, neither side really cared about him enough to pay attention to what he was doing after the clash between the two sides began.

All his employer cared about was him being there for the first clash to help tilt the early balance of the battlefield, while the enemy would never complain if one of their enemies ended up leaving. Especially if that person was just a hired sword who didn’t really have any real allegiance to their enemy and was just in it for the spirit stones.

Well… Chu Yang wasn’t really in it for the spirit stones so to speak, but he wouldn’t ever say no to free spirit stones for doing something he would do for free to train his Dao of the Spear…
