Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

With his full attention on comprehending the Dao of Ice, time slowly began to pass with no clear change happening outside the frozen lake.

Even if demonic cultivators passed through the area from time to time and some even went to investigate the frozen lake in person upon seeing the hole he had created after he had entered the frozen lake, none of them bothered to enter the waters after seeing nothing of interest.

The reason being that their cultivation was too low to notice the rich yin qi hidden just below the surface of the icy waters, while their divine sense didn’t sense anything out of the ordinary. Making the frozen lake appear like a completely normal frozen lake on the outside.

For this reason alone, there wasn’t any demonic cultivators willing enough to dive into the icy waters for seemingly no reason… And so, a year quickly flew by, as the part of the lake that had been broken by him earlier when he had first entered the icy waters froze up and resealed like nothing had happened. Ensuring that there would not be any more curious demonic cultivators approaching in the future.

At the very least, there wouldn’t be anyone who didn’t already have knowledge about the frozen lake or happened to find it in similar way to how he had found it in the past. Although, to find it like he had done, the other party would at the very least need to be someone close to the Demon King Realm. Ordinary demonic cultivators simply wouldn’t be able to sense to subtle flow of energies that had allowed him to realize how special the frozen lake was.

Not to mention, a disturbance had to be created for the energies to be disturbed in the first place, something that would be a far lower chance of happening with the spiritual herbs that had grown on the lake in the past gone.

The only real chance of someone unaware of the frozen lake finding it by accident would be if a battle nearby affected the frozen lake, or, of course, someone could accidentally fall into the frozen lake-

Bang! Crack~!

”Aaah!? Why is the water so cold!?”

Speaking of the devil and he shall a appear… Just as he was thinking to himself that he had managed to get through the most dangerous period where the frozen lake would be attracting more attention due to the entrance he had created in the ice, he found his comprehension being interrupted by someone falling into the icy waters.

Even worse, the strength of the demonic cultivator that had fallen into the icy waters had at least reached the Demon Lord Realm, an opponent he wouldn’t be able to simply kill off with ease without causing any disruptions to the fragile balance created by the icy waters. Even as he was thinking this, he could clearly feel that the one above falling into the icy waters had already caused some of the terrifyingly cold water below the fifty-meter mark had started to rise.

Some of it even sweeping past one of his legs. Almost instantly freezing it on the spot before he barely managed to protect himself and retreat up by a meter.

Even without any more disturbances taking place, the fifty-meter zone had already been completely cut off because of this, slowing down his comprehension speed of the Dao of Ice as a result.

If not for the fact that he feared making any large movements could cause the situation to worsen even further, he would have already rushed up to kill off the demonic cultivator that had fallen into the water…

”This-!? There is so much yin qi here! Is this perhaps a cultivation spot left behind by powerful demonic cultivator…?”

Unaware of the fact that he had barely managed to escape death, the True Demon Lord Realm demonic cultivator marveled to himself as he final sensed the terrifyingly rich yin that now surrounded him on all sides.

Under normal circumstances, the demon cultivator would have already spotted the a few dozen meters below him, but the waters of the frozen lake not only obscured one’s divine sense, but also one’s vision.

Because of this, even though Xuan Hao could somewhat rely on his powerful cultivation base to see the demon cultivator above him, the demonic cultivator had no way to notice him, as he sincerely believed that he had stumbled on the cultivation ground of some ancient demonic cultivator.

Whoosh~

With that in mind, the demonic cultivator, who had originally stumbled into the cave, wasted no time in descending deeper. Reaching his limits around the thirty-meter mark where he quietly settled down to absorb the rich yin qi floating around in the freezing waters.

As for how he had ended up in the frozen lake, Xuan Hao had no clue, as he decided to remain vigilant for the next few days in case another ground of cultivators appeared to potentially

However, as time flew by, he found that his worries were unfounded.

No other cultivators appeared after the one who had accidentally fallen into the icy waters.

During this time, Xuan Hao also had the opportunity to personally observe how a demonic cultivator cultivated for the first time, excluding the violent and brutal absorption of spiritual qi and blood essence that most demonic cultivators engaged in.

Different from what he had expected demonic cultivation to look like from the texts and records he had read on their cultivation techniques, the current display from the demonic cultivator no more than two dozen meters from where he was quietly floating, did in no way look like a demonic technique he had heard about or seen in the past.

Instead, the demonic technique focused on cultivating his physical body in a way not much different from the cultivators who focused on cultivating their bodies.

The main difference between the two of them was that one used the qi between heaven and earth to cultivate, while the other used yin qi.

The skillful mastery of the yin qi and personally witnessing how it was used by a demonic cultivator to cultivate almost instantly deepened his understanding of the Dao of Yin… And without even realizing it, his comprehension of the Dao of Yin directly broke through the initial understanding one would gain of the Dao at the Domain Lord Realm. Reaching the Elementary Realm in a single step.

Of course, outside of the skillful mastery shown by the demonic cultivator, there was also the fact that his current location was extremely suitable for comprehending the Dao of Yin and the fact that the Dao of ice was closely tied to the Dao of Yin. Meaning that he already had some understanding of the Dao of Yin.

However, given his current situation, Xuan Hao really didn’t want to advance his understanding of the Dao of Ice, as it would lessen the time he would have to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Even if he had not broken through to the Small Success Realm, he could clearly feel that it still had some effect on his dao seed, strengthening it slightly and at the same time decreasing the time before it bloomed against his will.

”…”

Looking up at the demonic cultivator floating only a little under twenty meters above him, Xuan Hao really wanted to reach out and kill the other party.

Unfortunately, the risk of doing so was far too great and would risk ruining his opportunity to reach the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Ice, something he absolutely couldn’t allow to happen. Especially now that he could clearly feel that he had almost managed to break through the bottleneck he had been working hard on breaking down for the past year.

In the end, Xuan Hao could only slowly close his eyes and return his focus back on comprehending the Dao of Ice like nothing had happened.

In any case, the demonic cultivator above him was far too weak to notice his presence and wouldn’t think that there was someone other than himself cultivating directly beneath him. After all, the frozen lake was in the middle of nowhere and even stumbling upon it was extremely difficult to accomplish.

Not to mention, the demonic cultivator had also sensed the increasing danger that came with diving deeper into the icy waters. Preventing him from going deeper with his current strength.

Like this, Xuan Hao and the demonic cultivator both began cultivating quietly in the icy waters without either party bothering the other, both focused on using every second to increase their strength…

Splash~!

”Whaaaa-! So cold! Why is the water so cold!”

And after only a month of this peace, another splashing sound woke up both Xuan Hao and the demonic cultivator, as another person ended up crashing through the icy surface of the lake before plummeting into the icy waters. Instantly causing the two to open their eyes as the disturbance caused the more dangerous icy waters to rise.

Forcing the demonic cultivator more than five meters up, while Xuan Hao moved from 49 meters to 47 below the surface. From this alone, it was clear that the disturbance caused this time around was far greater.
