Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following the increase in Soul Ascension Realm cultivators in the sect, it didn’t take long before there was a rapid increase in strength among the elders who had been stuck at the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm for a long period of time. Leveraging the large number of Soul Ascension Realm cultivators now available in the sect to ask for guidance and help clear out their confusion before taking the final step to enter the Domain Lord Realm.

Outside of the elders who saw a rapid increase in their strength, Feng Chen, who had spent most of his time comprehending the Dao of the Sword and honing his Sword Intent unwilling to fall behind Xuan Hao and the large number of powerful cultivators slowly starting to join the sect. Successfully took a step forward and entered the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm with his Dao of the Sword reaching the Elementary Realm. Showing that his talent was indeed terrifying when it came to the Dao of the Sword. Only lacking an opportunity to showcase it properly in the past.

After this breakthrough to the Initial Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, it also allowed the wandering cultivators who had joined the sect as elders to understand the difference between the Soul Ascension Realm and the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Many of them had not really understood how someone only in the Domain Lord Realm had been able to become a sect master, but after he broke through to the Dao Domain Lord Realm and displayed his strength in a battle with a wandering cultivator in the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm, all of the wandering cultivators who had joined the Star Shattering Sect seemed to have understood why he was chosen as the sect master.

At the same time, they also came to understand the difference of how those in the Dao Domain Lord Realm wouldn’t face the Immortal Soul Tribulation step by step like they would but would instead be facing the entire tribulation at the same time when they ultimately chose to break through in the future.

Not just that, but after a few of the more curious Soul Ascension Realm cultivators sat down to talk with Feng Chen, they also realized that the lifespan of someone in the Dao Domain Lord Realm didn’t increase and remained the same as someone in the Domain Lord Realm.

Although the time between each tribulation in the Soul Ascension Realm was only 5000 years, most Soul Ascension Realm cultivators broke through in their older age, with most having lived far more than 5000 years in the Domain Lord Realm.

For most, breaking through to the Soul Ascension Realm would still be a significant increase in their lifespan. Especially so considering that most Soul Ascension Realm cultivators would be able to make it through two or three tribulations without too many problems, extending their lives by 10.000 to 15.000 years if they dragged things out to the limit.

The Dao Domain Lord Realm on the other hand wouldn’t increase one’s lifespan. Meaning one would have an extremely limited time to prepare for taking on the entire Immortal Soul Tribulation at the same time.

From a glance, it was obvious that the Dao Domain Lord Realm was only a path one would take if they had the confidence and talent to reach the Dao Seed Realm. If not, it would be better to go through the Soul Ascension Realm that was a relatively safer path.

In a sense, the fact that Feng Chen had decided to walk down the path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm was more than enough to earn him the respect of the Soul Ascension Realm cultivators who had joined the sect, as all of them came to understand the danger of this path along with the confidence it took to walk down this path.

Not to mention, he had already proven himself in battle and shown just how strong the Dao Domain Lord Realm was even in the Initial Stage of the Realm. Making some of them wonder just how powerful the Intermediate and Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm was, as it was clear from what they had learnt about this realm that there was a qualitive change with each breakthrough in the Dao Domain Lord Realm.

Some of them speculating that the Late Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm was no weaker than someone in the Dao Seed Realm, as they had learnt from Feng Chen that one only needed to reach the Intermediate Stage of the Dao Domain Lord Realm to successfully pass through the Immortal Soul Tribulation without too many problems.

…

”I wonder when master will return, he has been away for a few months already, but all we have seen of him are the different Soul Ascension Realm cultivators that he managed to recruit during his time away, that and the Zhang Clan now guarding the different external territories of the sect in the chaotic region of the now gone Sky Empire.”

”No, instead of master, I’m far more worried about senior brother, it has been a rather long time since I last saw him… And from what master said before he left, he should be on his way back to the sect. However, even after a few months, we haven’t seen anything of senior brother…”

While the different Soul Ascension Realm cultivators were left in awe by the powers and wonders of the Dao Domain Lord Realm due to Feng Chen’s breakthrough to the realm, two of Xuan Hao’s disciples, Qing Yi and Chun Hua, were talking with each other inside the newly built alchemy hall.

One worried about her master after not seeing him for the last few months, while the other was more worried about their senior brother who had not been to the sect for over a year.

”But… The central region is extremely dangerous and is filled with countless powerful cultivators even-”

”Chun Hua… You don’t have to worry about master, he will be fine on his own with his strength. Not to mention, all the Soul Ascension Realm cultivators coming to join the sect over the past few months should be more than enough to show how well master is doing in the central region.

Instead of master, I’m far more worried about our senior brother. After all, he also headed to the central region but is far weaker than master. Having been gone for so long without any response, it is obvious that he should be in some kind of dangerous situation and is unable to get out on his own.”

”This… I understand, master should be strong enough to take care of himself, but… What do you think we can do about senior brother? Should we go out and look for him?”

”Look for him? Hm… Sure, we could also get some experience outside of the sect in this way and with our current strength, we should be able to keep ourselves safe if we don’t attract too much attention searching for senior brother.

As the two of them continued chatting with each other about their master and senior brother, they ultimately concluded that they would leave the sect to go out and search for their senior brother who had not returned to the sect like he should have.

Although the two of them did enjoy spending time together researching alchemy without any interruptions, they also understood the importance of getting real life experience from travelling the world.

Searching for their senior brother was the perfect opportunity to do this, while it would also allow the two of them to travel together and continue their alchemy research during their travels when not in combat or actively searching for their senior brother.

After a quick visit to Feng Chen and then Pei Yang to inform them about their leave to search for their senior brother, the two of them used the teleportation formation at the base of the Ninth Star Peak to directly teleport to the Iron Sky Kingdom before heading in the direction where their senior brother had last been according to what little information they had managed to gain about his situation from their master before he had left.

The mountain range being located between the Northern Central Region and the now fallen Sky Empire was filled with demon beasts. Not lacking in Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts.

Even with their strength having increased and approaching the limits of the Domain Lord Realm. Allowing them to fight Peak Domain Lord Realm demon beasts with relative ease if they worked together, they would still have to be cautious when faced with Soul Ascension Realm demon beasts.

At the same time, they also felt a bit worried about the situation of their senior brother, as both of them guessed he should have either been trapped in some secret realm inside of the mountain range or found himself unable to leave due to his path being blocked by powerful demon beasts.
