Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Knowing that he might have to face a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator because of the young master that his disciple had killed, Xuan Hao could not help thinking about what to do in case the other party ended up finding out about the identity of that young master and decided to come to the Star Shattering Sect for revenge.

Even if the other party didn’t come for revenge and just wanted to get a better idea of the situation that had taken place, it would be troublesome for him and the current Star Shattering Sect.

The only positive was the chaotic qi formation was more than strong enough to resist the probing attempts of someone in the Celestial Immortal.

Maybe the fact that his strength had reached the Late Stage of the Dao Seed Realm would also be able to help out the situation to some extent, as he could definitely display power above the Peak of the Earth Immortal Realm.

The main problem would be that he was still not at the level of a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator and any serious probing would likely result in his true strength being seen through.

With that in mind, he really felt like a fire had been lit beneath him to increase his strength as fast as possible.

Glancing through his own status and the young master tier list that seemed to have decided to make a comeback after a rather long absence, Xuan Hao focused his attention on the last remaining sect quest and by far also the most important of the four he had been given a few months ago.

Feeling curious about how much it had changed, as it did allow him to get a better look at the current overall strength of the Star Shattering Sect and also because the chaotic qi formation would really need an upgrade if it had to face off against Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators in the near future.

Even if it didn’t count the elders who had reached the Domain Lord Realm, it provided a fine outlook of the entire sect’s strength at the same time.

[Main Sect Quest: First Steps towards Becoming a Major Power (I)] [Description: The sect has entered a state of rapid growth and is about to finally step onto the main stage of the Ewaria Continent. Help the sect reach the requirements to become a major power on the Ewaria Continent.] [Core Formation Realm Disciples: 2139/10.000] [Nascent Soul Realm Disciples: 17/100] [Domain Lord Realm Disciples: 5/10] [Soul Ascension Realm Elders: 1/100] [Dao Seed Realm Elders: 1/10] [Profound Immortal Realm Ancestor: 0/1] [Reward: World Stone (Immortal), Chaotic Qi Formation Upgrade, ???] [Note: Does not count host as part of the requirements] Looking at the overall progress of the sect quest, Xuan Hao wasn’t that surprised about the growth of the sect, outside of the seemingly rapid pace that more Nascent Soul Realm disciples seemed to appear.

There was also the Soul Ascension Realm Elder, but after thinking things through for a bit, he quickly realized that this Soul Ascension Realm Elder was none other than Yi Min, who had been officially bestowed the title of sect elder.

This was not his doing, but instead Elder Song, who did so because he felt she needed a proper identity inside the sect given that she often came by to visit the blacksmithing hall to either teach the disciples there or chat with Bai Ning, who had managed to establish a friendship with her over their shared dedication towards blacksmithing.

Thinking about it… This little disciple of his seemed to have built up quite a substantial power inside the blacksmithing hall, as pretty much every elder there had become his friends. Even the formation hall elders seemed to be friends with this disciple of his…

If not for the fact that he knew this disciple of his was fully invested in studying the Dao of Blacksmithing and improving his understanding of blacksmithing through the help of formations that could also be used to improve and strengthen certain artifact, he would have thought this disciple of his might have been trying to build up a faction of his own inside the sect.

Turning his attention to the section that was about the elders of the sect, even though there had been an improvement in terms of Soul Ascension Realm Elders, it was only a single one and was still far from the one hundred required by the quest. Not to mention the 10 Dao Seed Realm Elders or one at the Profound Immortal Realm.

The disciple part of the quest seemed rather simple and looked like it would be completed with time even if he didn’t personally intervene, but the elder part of the quest seemed to be difficult to complete in the short term by relying on the growth of the elders already part of the sect.

Even if Feng Chen, Zu Fei, Wang Hu and the others already at the Domain Lord Realm managed to reach the Soul Ascension Realm, there was still the problem of getting more elders in the Dao Seed Realm.

No matter how fast those elders improved it would still take dozens, possibly hundreds of years before a Dao Seed Realm elder emerged naturally.

With that in mind, if he wanted to complete the quest any time soon, it looked like he would have to go out and search for Dao Seed Realm cultivators not affiliated with any major powers and recruit them to join the sect. If they were in a similar situation as Pei Yang and were enemies with the Blue Sea Empire, that would be for the best.

Even more so now that his disciple had killed a young master whose backing was very likely one of the ancestors from the Blue Sea Empire.

In a sense, as time passed, it seemed like more and more people who were enemies with the blue Sea Empire were either joining the Star Shattering Sect or his friend.

Be it Pei Yang who had become one of the most respected elders of the sect since joining or Gong Cheng who had fled from the core region of the continent and could be considered the enemy of all the major powers there.

Outside of those two, there was also the demonic cultivator Xuan Gui, who seemed intent on causing even more trouble for the Blue Sea Empire. Even wanting to drag down the entire empire if she had the strength to do so.

Speaking of Xuan Gui, he hadn’t heard much of her over the past few months, as it seemed like there was some kind of situation taking place among the Demon Kings of the Frozen Wastelands at the current moment.

Although the situation didn’t cause any problems for her, it had forced her to retreat and lay low for a bit. Extending the time for original plan of him helping her sneak inside the Blue Sea Empire.

As he thought of her now, he could not help wondering if it was possible to recruit demonic cultivators to join the sect. Not like how Su Wuhan had ended up becoming a member of the sect through becoming part of the information gathering branch of the sect, but instead becoming a real disciple or elder of the sect.

The reason he thought about this was not just because he felt a bit desperate about finding the required Dao Seed Realm Elders for the sect, but also because demonic cultivators like Xuan Gui didn’t seem to be bad in the same way as most other demonic cultivators were.

If there was a demonic cultivator like Xuan Gui, he felt that there shouldn’t be anything wrong with recruiting her to join the sect.

The only problem was that demonic cultivators didn’t really have the best reputation on the continent, and it was not unfounded, as most demonic cultivation techniques involved slaughtering and refining a large number of both cultivators and mortals.

For the Star Shattering Sect to safely recruit demonic cultivators, it would have to figure out a way to change the demonic cultivators back from their demonic cultivation path and return them to the original cultivation path, something that seemed impossible considering the foundations of demonic cultivators were abysmal compared to normal cultivators given that most had turned to the demonic path to quickly increase their strength and forgo the normal slow cultivation speed.

If a solution to this problem could not be found, the sect would only be able to recruit those below the Demonic Transformation Realm, when it was still possible to turn things back around. The rest would only be able to be kept hidden in a similar way to Su Wuhan and revealing them at any point could damage the reputation of the Star Shattering Sect. Especially considering that the disciples and elders of the sect had been fighting demonic cultivators at the border for a long time at this point in time.

But… The original goal behind recruiting demonic cultivators was to recruit stronger cultivators to join the sect.

For this goal, Xuan Hao decided to take some time in studying some demonic cultivation methods to see if he could figure out a way to reverse the demonic changes that took place between the Demonic Transformation Realm and the True Demon Realm.

The intent behind all of this stemming from the fact that he really wanted to recruit Xuan Gui to join the sect if possible and try to find other similarly not outright evil but still powerful demonic cultivators to join the sect with her help.
