Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

At the same time Wei Chin begrudgingly began working on the law enforcement hall under the constant surveillance of the newly joined members of the law enforcement hall, Elder Song had already begun focusing on another aspect of the Star Shattering Sect. No longer feeling the need to worry or think about the law enforcement hall as it seemed the Wei Chin was fully capable of handling the situation there by himself.

Even without him around, given that Wei Chin was similar to himself in the way he worked, Elder Song was certain that the law enforcement hall establishment would go without any problems.

With that in mind, he was now focused on another important aspect of the sect that needed immediate attention and that was the construction of specialized cultivation environments for some of the more unique cultivators of the sect that required certain unique environments for cultivation.

These kinds of unique environments could be anything from a place with constant snowfall to an active volcano that allowed a closer connection to the Dao of Fire.

Although the combat hall could help in simulating some of these environments and had been doing just that already, it could not be used for day-to-day cultivation.

However, solving this problem was difficult given the still rather limited resources of the sect when it came to creating these kinds of unique environments for cultivation.

Not to mention, even if the resources were available, the current Star Shattering Sect lacked specialized individual capable of creating such unique cultivation environments. The only person he could realistically think of when it came to this kind of thing being Xuan Hao, but… Asking him for help in this kind of situation would at most be a temporary solution to the problem and wouldn’t be a permanent one.

For this reason, Elder Song soon found himself turning his attention towards the formation hall that had recently entered the spotlight after a younger disciple managed to break through to the Grandmaster Realm.

When it came to creating unique cultivation environments, a skilled formation master was by far the most important. Especially so when it came to keeping said environments in an ideal state all year round.

If the sect wanted to create unique cultivation environment useful for both the elders and disciples of the sect, it was important for the sect to have a large number of skilled formation masters. Not just to create these unique environments, but more so to repair and inspect the formations that would create these unique cultivation environments.

After all, maintenance was important in the long run and was definitely not something he could bother Xuan Hao with doing all the time. Especially so considering that the number of unique environments that needed to be created and maintained far surpassed the few teleportation formations and the formations at the combat hall.

Not to mention, he planned to create unique cultivation environments not just in the main sect at the Shattered Star Peaks, but also across the sects expanding number of branches. Even aiming to create some specialized branches focusing on one specific path, an example being the old Flying Sword Sect turning into a branch fully focused on the Dao of the Sword. Ensuring a place wholeheartedly focused on nurturing sword cultivators.

Although… the example of the old Flying Sword Sect becoming a branch focused entirely on the Dao of the Sword already seemed to have become a reality at this point due to the influence of Feng Chen who visited the old sect every now and then and gave lectures to the disciples and elders cultivating there. Inevitably leading them down the path of the sword as a result…

Shaking his head as he thought about the old Flying Sword Sect, Elder Song focused his attention back on the future development of the formation hall.

Given how important the development of the formation hall had become in his eyes at this point in time and the fact that it was lacking a bit behind compared to the blacksmithing hall and the alchemy hall, Elder Song didn’t waste much time, as he directly focused a significant quantity of resources towards developing the formation hall.

This was different from just advertising the formation hall and trying to use his own name to get disciples and elders to join, as it was a direct increase in the resources available to those already part of the formation hall. Increasing the resources that they needed to advance as formation masters. Ushering the formation hall and its members into a period of rapid growth, as the disciples and elders who were part of the formation hall were already fully absorbed in trying to comprehend the intricate formation symbols used in constructing the different teleportation formations throughout the sect.

Among the disciples and elders of the formation hall, the one who ended up benefiting the most from this sudden increase in resources was Fang Yu, who, already being at the Grandmaster Realm and having comprehended the Dao of Formations to the Elementary Realm, took the opportunity to further her understanding of the intricate formation symbols used in the construction of the teleportation formations throughout the sect.

Reaching the point where she gained an initial understanding of how they functioned, a terrifying achievement considering her low cultivation realm and close to nonexistent comprehension of the Dao of Space.

Of course, she was still far from fully understanding the formation symbols as it contained Xuan Hao’s understanding of the Dao of Space and Dao of Formations, which both reached the Large Success Realm, but it was a major step that allowed her comprehension of the Dao of Formations to rapidly increase.

Seeing this growth in not just Fang Yu, but the rest of the formation hall as well, Elder Song became more certain of his decision, as he continued funneling more resources towards the formation hall.

Of course, at the same time, Fang Yu and some of the more skilled formation masters help the sect in setting up formations throughout the sect and across some of the more important branches. Making the cultivation environment better and increasing the protection of some of the branches that only had basic protective formations or none at all by establishing new protective formation capable of at least resisting someone in the Nascent Soul Realm.
