Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Feeling himself starting to calm down as he watched the demonic cultivators disappearing into the depths of the Frozen Wastelands, the ancestor from the Blue Sea Empire turned his attention towards the direction of where the unknown powerful cultivator had deliberately shown himself just a short time earlier.

However, when using his divine sense to look over in that direction, he didn’t find anyone in the Celestial Immortal Realm, but instead just felt his divine sense colliding with the guardian formation of a local sect.

Not wanting to accidentally destroy the local sect’s guardian formation with his powerful divine sense, he decided to retract it. Knowing that the mysterious Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who had lend him a hand earlier in scaring off the demonic cultivator should have already left place. Likely not wanting to get any more involved in the situation.

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Just at this moment, three powerful auras suddenly appeared in the distance before almost instantly crossing over and arriving directly in front of the ancestor from the Blue Sea Empire. Soon revealing themselves to be three Celestial Immortals from the Blue Sea Empire who had rushed over the moment they learnt about what had happened.

”Where are the demonic cultivators? Did they leave already?”

Out of the three, one of them couldn’t help asking in a somewhat confused tone as he had and the other two had been expecting to find their friend besieged by three Demon King Realm demonic cultivators when they arrived. Not him standing around aimlessly staring into the distance.

If not for the fact that they could clearly see and sense the destructive battle that had taken place only a short time earlier, they would have doubted whether or not the ancestor standing in front of them had really encounter an attack from a group of demonic cultivators in the Demon King Realm.

”Yes… They left not too long ago someone else arrived before you three and helped scare them off before they had a chance to kill me...”

”Kill you!? Was it really that serious? How could they possibly push you to such a desperate state in such a short period of time. Unless…”

”Indeed, the Frozen Wasteland Demon King was involved. If not for one of the sneak attacks being weaker than the rest and the sudden arrival of an unknown Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who prevented any further attacks, I doubt I would have been able to safely escape with my life today…” Nodding his head with a solemn expression on his face, the ancestor from the Blue Sea Empire who had just been ambushed told the rest about his thoughts on what had happened.

In the process of doing so, also mentioning the unknown Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who had shown themselves to intimidate the group of Demon King Realm demonic cultivators into retreating.

”An unknown Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator. Haaa… Under normal circumstances, I would find it worrying, but considering that person saved your life, I take it that they don’t have anything against our Blue Sea Empire…” Showing a somewhat worried expression before ultimately shaking his head, one of the Blue Sea Empire’s Celestial Immortals ultimately decided to not pursue the unknown Celestial Immortal.

”Indeed, if they did, it would have been a perfect opportunity to kill me!” Nodding his head in agreement, the ancestor who had barely avoided death spoke up for the unknown Celestial Immortal. Knowing even more intimately how bad his situation was and how he would have ended up without that unknown Celestial Immortal’s appearance.

In the end, the rest of the Celestial Immortals from the Blue Sea Empire were convinced about the good will of this unknown Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator. At the very least, they could be certain that this Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator didn’t have any ill intentions towards the Blue Sea Empire given their actions to save one of their Celestial Immortals.

”Let’s get you back to the capital for now so you can recover. In the meantime, we will have two people remain at the border for now and oversee the situation here in your place.”

With that in mind, one of the three Celestial Immortals that had shown up as reinforcement took a step forward to say this before helping the severely injured Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestor back in the direction of the Blue Sea Empire where he would be able to recover from his injuries.

”Well, while those two get back and brief the rest on the situation, we should assess the damage done to the surroundings after the battle. Especially the Onyx Empire which seems to have been turned into a wasteland after this battle…”

Staring off in the direction of the Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestor that they had come to assist as he left together with the weakest among the three of them, one of the two remaining Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators quickly assessed the current situation and informed the second one about their immediate goals.

”Understood, you take care of the Onyx Empire, and I will check out the other two empires and see how they are faring.” Nodding his head in agreement, the second Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestor didn’t complain and just flew off shortly after this.

For now, the most important thing to these Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestors was to check the damage that had been caused by the battle and at the same time assess whether or not it had all been a cover up for something different.

After all, at this point in time, all of them had already realized that the earlier attack by the Blood Lotus Demon King had been a distraction leading up to the attack that took place today.

Although it was unlikely for this attack to have been a distraction as well, none of the Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestors planned to take the risk. Especially because the attack this time around involved the Frozen Wasteland Demon King, an existence that stood far above the realm of ordinary Celestial Immortals and even caused a large empire like the Blue Sea Empire to act cautiously.

…

Hm? The demonic cultivators are leaving… Could it be that their attack failed, and the Celestial Immortal Realm Ancestor from the Blue Sea Empire was stronger than they expected?

Having carefully kept his attention focused on the battle that had taken place just outside the borders of the Onyx Empire, Xuan Hao could not help frowning to himself as he sensed the three demonic cultivators suddenly leaving after they had frozen on the spot for a few seconds without doing anything.

Whoosh~!

However, only a short time after the demonic cultivators left, Xuan Hao felt a terrifying divine sense descending on the Star Shattering Sect before quickly leaving again after encountering the Chaotic Qi Formation.

That is… Did the Celestial Immortal sense me defending against the attack earlier and decided to investigate…?

Although he didn’t try to forcibly pierce through the formation and take a peek inside, that is only the case for now, I doubt he will ignore a formation capable of defending against a Demon King Realm demonic cultivator…

Narrowing both of his eyes as he thought about this while carefully preparing himself for a possible response from the Blue Sea Empire, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit nervous.

Even though his strength had increased by quite a bit over the past few years, he was still far away from being comparable to someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

At the moment, the only thing he had that allowed him some confidence in facing off against a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator was the Chaotic Qi Formation that he had at least managed to confirm had the ability to defend against someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Of course, defending against someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm still meant that he would be able to do much against someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm outside the range of the Chaotic Qi Formation.

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Even worse, he soon felt three equally powerful divine senses sweeping over the chaotic qi formation before retreating without interfering with the formation.

Sensing the situation at the border of the Onyx Empire to the best of his ability without using his divine sense, Xuan Hao could feel that three more Celestial Immortals had appeared.

The only reason he could sense them clearly without using his divine sense was because that none of these Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators bothered hiding their presence… And from the earlier rapid escape of the demonic cultivators, Xuan Hao guessed that these demonic cultivators should have noticed them from afar and thus decided to escape before they showed up and joined the battle.

Although, the time between the arrival of the three Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators and the demonic cultivators leaving was at least a few minutes. Making Xuan Hao believe that it might not have been the demonic cultivators themselves who sensed these Celestial Immortals coming, but instead one of their spies inside the Blue Sea Empire who had in turn informed them about the approach of the three Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators.

That or the divine sense and senses of those above the Dao Seed Realm far exceed his imagination, stretching far beyond the range of a few smaller empires…
