Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Continuing to look around the tower of secrets and checking out all kinds of different combat techniques to make sure that he chose the correct ones in the end, Xuan Hao also decided to make his way up to the third floor of the tower of secrets.

[Divine Transformation, High Heaven Rank]

[Price: 50 Celestial Coins]

[Void Steps, Peak Heaven Rank]

[Price: 150 Celestial Coins]

[God Body Refinement, High Heaven Rank]

[Price: 75 Celestial Coins]

However, after seeing the price of the combat techniques up on the third floor of the tower of secret, Xuan Hao quickly gave up on trying to find a suitable technique up there, as even the cheapest combat technique on the third floor of the tower cost at least 50 celestial coins. Not something he could afford with his current 30 celestial coins.

In the end, after looking around the tower for a little over half a day and going through countless combat techniques, Xuan Hao first ended up choosing the Void Sword Art at the price of 8 celestial coins because it was a suitable technique and not too expensive, while he could at the same time buy the second volume of the technique that he had already seen up on the third floor of the tower in the future.

Although he guessed it would take some time before he got enough celestial coins to afford the next part of the Void Sword Arts, it was still a Mid Heaven Rank combat technique and would be usable up to the Sea Formation Realm. More than enough time for him to get the required celestial coins he needed to get the second volume of the sword art.

Next up, Xuan Hao had originally wanted to get his hands on a physical refinement technique to strengthen his physical body, but he inevitably ended up giving up on this endeavor, as he found out that it would not bring too many benefits considering that his physique was still in an unweakened state.

Meaning that before he managed to awaken his physique, it wouldn’t be that beneficial to find a body refinement technique, as it would be more beneficial for him to just focus on awakening his physic first.

Because of this, Xuan Hao was left with a total of 22 celestial coins for a movement technique. Leaving him with the choice to get a higher-level movement technique or get another combat technique while getting a slightly lower-level movement technique.

Considering that he didn’t really feel like he needed another combat technique after getting the Void Sword Art, Xuan Hao had at first wanted to get the Light Comet movement technique, as it would give him a fast movement technique that wouldn’t be restricted by spatial seals and relied on a dao that he had already comprehended.

Even though the Light Comet movement technique was mostly focused on speed and going in a straight line and wasn’t that suitable for combat, Xuan Hao didn’t mind it too much, but this changed as he reached the section where movement techniques related to the Dao of Illusions were located…

[Illusory Light Steps, Mid Heaven Rank]

[Requirements: Dao of Illusions, Dao of Light]

[Price: 20 Celestial Coins]

It was here that he found a different movement technique that also involved the Dao of Light.

However, different from the Light Comet movement technique that only focused on speed, the Illusory Light Steps was slower, but at the same time also useful for combat.

Even if it also required the comprehension of the Dao of Illusions to practice it, it wasn’t that big of a problem to the current Xuan Hao, who had already comprehended the Dao of Illusions to the Large Success Realm.

Because of this, Xuan Hao ultimately ended up choosing the Illusory Light Steps as his new movement technique.

After all, even if it was slower than the Light Comet movement technique that focused solely on speed, it was still a movement technique that incorporated the Dao of Light. Making it far faster than most other movement techniques.

So, in the end, Xuan Hao ended up using up a total of 28 celestial coins on the two techniques. Leaving him with only 2 celestial coins that couldn’t even be used for buying the worst combat technique present inside the tower of secrets.

”Hm? Now that I think about it, given that I could buy information on the Dao Domain Lord Realm, is there perhaps other kinds of information in here that I can buy? Like information on the Profound Immortal Realm or the Celestial Immortal Realm?” Placing the two techniques he had just bought inside his interspatial ring for reading later, Xuan Hao could not help asking this as he glanced towards the preservation golem standing a few meters behind him.

Making it more than clear that he hoped that the preservation golem could answer his question.

”Yes, you can buy all sorts of information related to cultivation in the tower of secrets. Including information on the Profound Immortal Realm and the Celestial Immortal Realm. Do you want to browse the cultivation information library located on the first floor, second floor or third floor?” Answering as expected, the preservation golem directly asked where he wanted to look for information.

”Hm? Cultivation Information library?” However, instead of answering, Xuan Hao could not help asking about the cultivation information library mentioned by the preservation golem. Feeling that he had just learnt something new about the tower of secrets that he hadn’t encountered so far during his past few hours looking through the tower.

”The cultivation information library is the location where cultivation insights of different cultivators are stored and can be bought. The cultivation insights can be useful for those stuck at a bottleneck. General information of the major cultivation realms can also be bought there, with the only exception being special cultivation realms like the Dao Domain Lord Realm, the Saint Realm or similar unusual cultivation paths. Information on unusual cultivation paths can be found in the normal section of the tower of secrets.”

Listening to the preservation golems explanation of the cultivation information library, Xuan Hao could not help showing a somewhat surprised look on his face. Understanding just how important the cultivation insights of past seniors might prove for anyone who was stuck at a bottleneck and wanted to find a way to overcome it.

At the same time, he also felt curious about the Saint Realm mentioned by the preservation golem, as he guessed it should be the same Saint Realm as the one that Gong Cheng had broken through to back when he had taught him and Yi Min about blacksmithing.

Even if he had found it amazing that he had a strength similar to someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm after breaking through to the Saint Realm with his blacksmithing, he never expected it to be a unique cultivation path.

Considering that Bai Ning was also talented in the Dao of Blacksmithing and might also end up following this path in the future, Xuan Hao decided to try and check it out to ensure that the Saint Realm was really what he thought it was.

After all, if it was really a unique cultivation path that focused on the comprehension of a profession path like blacksmithing, it might be good for him to learn about it so he could help Bai Ning step onto this path in the future, as he felt it might be more suitable for him compared to entering the Dao Domain Lord Realm like he had first wanted him and the rest of his disciples to do.

Whoosh~!

In the end, after asking the preservation golem to guide down to the first floor where the introduction of the Saint Realm was located, Xuan Hao wasted no time as he picked up the small book and outright bought it with his last two celestial coins.

”Saint Realm…” Muttering this to himself as he looked at the small book in his hand, Xuan Hao didn’t waste any time as he found a place to sit down and read through it.

And… As he had expected, the Saint Realm was exactly what he thought it was, as Gong Cheng had indeed broken through to the Saint Realm described in the book.

Although there wasn’t that much information on the Saint Realm in the introductory book he had bought, Xuan Hao still learnt about the names of the four minor realms of the Saint Realm.

Third Heaven of the Saint Realm.

Second Heaven of the Saint Realm.

First Heaven of the Saint Realm.

And finally, the Great Saint Realm

Gong Cheng from back then should have broken through to the Third Heaven of the Saint Realm. Giving him strength comparable to someone at the Middle Stage of the Dao Seed Realm.

According to the book, if he reached the Second Heaven of the Saint Realm, he would get strength comparable to someone at the Peak of the Dao Seed Realm.

And reaching the First Heaven of the Saint Realm would allow him to reach a level comparable to someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm or Breaking Dawn Realm.

The final Great Saint Realm was a realm that would allow one to have strength no weaker than someone in the Sea Formation Realm of the Profound Immortal Realm or the Later Stages of the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Unfortunately, even though the book contained a bit of information about the saint realm and the four minor realms, it didn’t provide any clues about how to reach the different realms outside of what he already knew. Indeed, proving that it was just an introduction to the Saint Realm…
