Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 2565: Chapter 2560: Subversion

Is this... enlightenment after becoming blind?

Just when one might expect the Sun Apostle to launch a furious counterattack, he astonishingly praised the Hunter who destroyed his eyes. The contrast was truly shocking.

Although Fu Qian had heard of similar plots.

Being crippled but instead gaining great understanding, seeing oneself clearly by losing sight, all are classic reversals.

”To let go is truly to grasp... you did very well, and I should thank you.”

The high praise continued, and the Sun Apostle even began interpreting Ah Fei’s actions from just now.

Including in Fu Qian’s view, the interpretation seemed correct.

Indeed, putting down is to truly pick up... Ah Fei’s inconsistent victories just now obviously couldn’t be explained by simply fighting with all one’s might.

Shouting in the heat of battle, slaying the Demon King with one blow, it’s thrilling, but a true swordsman should never follow that example.

To achieve pinnacle skills in anything, one requires professional methodology.

If passion alone could win, why throw the sword to the ground?

Therefore, Fu Qian’s opinion aligns with the Sun Apostle’s; Ah Fei deliberately dropped it.

Not because he couldn’t hold on, but because he realized he’d never truly ”held” that sword.

And the process of picking it up again was a process of correction.

In short, Ah Fei believed firmly that his sword was not ineffective, he just didn’t know how to use it.

And through this method, completed his cultivation between life and death.

As someone skilled in ”Body and Sword Unity,” Fu Qian empathized with ease.

Yet it’s surprising that the faith-driven Sun Apostle could also feel this way.

Even though the person involved seemed unharmed by the praise.

In intense gasping, Ah Fei’s eyes were entirely vacant, as if the body was awake but the person asleep.

”Haha, that’s right... go recognize your true self.”

And the Sun Apostle seemed not even slightly concerned, rather very pleased.

Hm...

After a soft exhortation, he finally turned towards Fu Qian.

Although theoretically he couldn’t see anything, Fu Qian felt a similar provocative emotion in the silent moment.

Within such a posture, a dazzlingly indescribable color already spread from the Sun Apostle’s palm.

It enveloped the surroundings and isolated Fu Qian from the outside.

...

So blatant?

Despite not saying anything, everything was clear beyond words, Fu Qian didn’t find it hard to understand the scene at hand—

After suffering heavy injury, the Sun Apostle was attempting to sway the Hunter during a moment of respite.

Even used special means to establish a barrier to prevent interference.

Honestly, all these belong to human nature, understandable at first glance, so Fu Qian had no complaints.

What surprised him was the barrier’s color—Lord Rainbow of Radiance not concealing anymore?

[Colors guard here, colors imprison here]

This was once described in a mission called Prism.

In subsequent interactions, he had displayed similar means, leading Fu Qian to consider this a distinct signature.

So in the front was it recognition followed by no concealment of identity?

It does make sense logically, even though the acts were deceitful in nature, yet it felt somewhat too unrestrained...

In such a scene, Fu Qian didn’t force awkward conversation.

Even to avoid frightening, he simply extended a finger to touch the luxuriant color—

Not just visual effects, it indeed repelled him.

Even so, he still quickly reached a conclusion.

It wasn’t just ”Abandonment King prohibited entry” in a crude manner, rather as if ”this place disallows such ferocious individuals.”

In just a moment, touching that finger felt as though a curse was already sprouting.

By contrast, the two rather weak inside the barrier seemed to be benefiting.

On the Sun Apostle, it’s not very apparent; in Ah Fei’s daze, the wounds seemed to be soothing at a visible rate.

The only issue was the pervasive curse over the body didn’t show any obvious effect, making one doubt if he could wake up—huff!

As if sensing Fu Qian’s evaluation, in that moment Ah Fei’s heavy breathing surprisingly elongated, then slowly opened his eyes, gazing towards this direction.

Though his gaze remained confused.

...

An efficient appearance, ”recognized the true self”?

Even Fu Qian clicked his tongue at the speed of Hunter awakening.

After all, calculating roughly, the Shield didn’t take over ten seconds to expand, virtually passing in the blink of an eye—was it possible just eyes closed and open, the intermediate process equaled to zero?

Giving a metaphor while Fu Qian already thought of an explanation.

Engraving Wisdom is where regardless of passage of time, it returns to the start at completion.

A dream within a dream, deep level four?

The scene just experienced, akin to booting another round in a temporal anomaly, even that Lord Rainbow of Radiance can do?

Amazed at some deduced guess, Fu Qian wasn’t rushed to communicate with Ah Fei.

”Aren’t you a researcher here?”

Yet the latter actively engaged, the next moment stared at Fu Qian, directly addressing the key point.

...

Indeed that’s the case, however what he’s discovered wasn’t the true self, but someone else?

After enlightenment, Ah Fei’s words were remarkably sharp, directly questioning the origin of the attendant.

Leading to Fu Qian’s increased curiosity on his experiences.

”No, but certainly a researcher.”

Moreover, having gained some achievements along the way, Fu Qian wasn’t cold to this Hunter, very honestly confirmed his statement, not forgetting to emphasize his intellectual identity.

Regretfully, it appears that titles between two research institutions don’t interchange too smoothly, before the words faded, a sharp sword tip was already arriving.

And magically seemed all light focused at the apex, causing Fu Qian to extend a finger, gently flicking it.

Buzzzz—

Inside the strange hum, destruction unleashed seemed palpable as it rumbled across the sword, the deadly strike from Ah Fei returned in vain.

Fortunately the tool favored by the Abandonment King wasn’t so simple.

Within moments, Ah Fei’s maneuver of the rapier became increasingly dexterous.

Sword tip retreating and returning like lightning, seemed feeling the momentum, he deliberately grasped the surge, further amplifying the power.

Sizzle—

No longer flicking away, this time Fu Qian chose to catch with his palm and nodded.

Indeed a multiplied increase.
