We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 434: Your Majesty Should Blow Out the Candles New Yesterday The wedding ceremony concluded. From this day forward, the Zhou Kingdomʼs inner palace would no longer

The wedding ceremony concluded. From this day forward, the Zhou Kingdomʼs inner palace would no longer be without a mistress. However, the Zhou Kingdomʼs Empress position still remained undecided.

As for whether Miss Yan would gain favor and become Empress, or whether the Qin Kingdom princess would first bear a prince.

That would depend on the future. However, for some ministers loyal to the Zhou Kingdom royal family, they felt this might be a good thing.

Because Qin Kingdomʼs current strength was not to be underestimated, and as the Qin Kingdom rulerʼs only sister, the Qin Kingdom eldest princess was deeply beloved by the Qin Kingdom ruler.

If anyone else entered the palace, they would very likely meet a violent death but this Qin Kingdom eldest princess was different—no one dared touch her.

Perhaps this was a breakthrough. His Majesty might be able to use Qin Kingdomʼs power to reclaim imperial authority. However, what exactly Qin Kingdom was thinking, and whether Zhou Kingdom would be inviting the wolf into the house, still required careful consideration.

But no matter what.

The inner palace probably wouldnʼt have peace for a long time.

According to custom, Yan Ruxue and Qin Siyao were led by maids to their respective bedchambers, waiting for His Majesty to lift their red veils and drink the nuptial wine with them. However, Xiao Mo didnʼt return to the inner palace quite so quickly.

After the wedding ceremony and completing all the procedures, the sky had already reached evening.
The wedding banquet then began.

Under the congratulations of various ministers, after Xiao Mo drank several cups of wine and attended to the noble guests who had traveled from afar and the sect elders from mountain sects within Zhou Kingdomʼs borders, the sky had already darkened.

The time was about right, so Xiao Mo left the banquet, having the Empress Dowager, Yan Zhen, and Yan Shanʼao help receive the guests. However, Xiao Mo didnʼt immediately proceed to any Imperial Consortʼs palace.

Xiao Mo first returned to his own bedchamber, bathed, and washed away the smell of alcohol.

”Does Your Majesty know which Imperial Consortʼs bedchamber youʼll visit tonight?”

Sili asked softly.

”Which one...”

Xiao Mo sighed lightly in his heart, inevitably feeling somewhat conflicted.

He knew that not just the civil and military officials of the court, but even ordinary commoners in the capital were anticipating which consort he would favor first.

Previously, it wasnʼt that Ministry of Rites officials hadnʼt suggested having both Imperial Consorts serve Xiao Mo together on the wedding night but this proposal was not only rejected by the Yan clan but was also severely scolded by Qin Kingdomʼs envoy.

The reason was simple.

Whether it was the Yan clan or Qin Kingdom, in their eyes, Xiao Mo should either favor Yan Ruxue or favor Qin Mujiu—how could there be any logic in having two women serve together?

When would two women serve together?

Only when there was a dowry maid and the mistress!

So?

Who would be the mistress and who the maid? Who would give the massage?

Therefore, whose bedchamber to visit tonight could only be decided by Xiao Mo himself and Xiao Moʼs decision generally represented whether he was closer to Qin Kingdom or closer to the Yan clan. However, in Siliʼs view, whether Xiao Mo went to Miss Yanʼs bedchamber or to the Qin Kingdom eldest princessʼs bedchamber, the result would be the same.

She absolutely would not allow these two mortal women to take Masterʼs primordial yang first!

”Forget it, forget it... let heaven decide...”

After much deliberation, Xiao Mo shook his head, planning to see heavenʼs intention.

”Sili, do you have any coins on you?” Xiao Mo turned to look at Sili.

Sili immediately understood Xiao Moʼs meaning. She pulled out a jade pendant from her collar and handed it to Xiao Mo, the jade pendant still carrying her warmth.

”Your Majesty, this servant doesnʼt have copper coins, but this circular pendant is the same size as a copper coin, and its material is evenly distributed.”

”Mm.”

Xiao Mo accepted Siliʼs jade pendant, untied the fine cord, and tossed it into the air.

The jade pendant spun continuously in the air, then finally landed on the back of Xiao Moʼs hand.

...

Han Jiu Palace.

Only half a quarter hourʼs walk from Xiao Moʼs Heart Nurturing Hall.

In the bedchamber, candlelight swayed gently, casting faint shadows on the womanʼs bright red wedding dress.

Under this candlelight, the wedding dress on the womanʼs body became even more vivid red and even more beautiful.

Qin Siyao sat upright and dignified on the bridal bed, legs together, her beautiful jade hands beneath red sleeves placed on her proportionate thighs. The wedding dress conformed to the womanʼs graceful figure like a red peony.

Beneath the red veil, the womanʼs curved, upturned eyelashes trembled lightly, her eyes blinking with both joy and anticipation.

Qin Siyao had been waiting in the bedchamber for a long while.

She knew that even if the wedding banquet in the palaceʼs front hall hadnʼt ended, the sky was already late, and her husband would surely be leaving soon.

At this moment, was her husband conflicted about whether to come to her Han Jiu Palace or go to Bai Ruxueʼs Ning Xue Palace?

Or perhaps her husband had already gone to Ning Xue Palace?

Just as Qin Siyaoʼs thoughts gradually drifted far, she sensed footsteps outside the door.

Immediately after came the sound of the door opening.

The corners of Qin Siyaoʼs mouth curved up slightly, her eyes crescent-shaped. The joy flowing from her eyes seemed even more moving than the crimson red at the corners of the womanʼs mouth.

Xiao Mo closed the door and picked up the jade steelyard from the table that resembled a ruyi scepter.

Looking at his wife sitting on the bed, Xiao Moʼs heartbeat gradually accelerated.

Even though he had already mentally prepared himself long ago, even though he had already seen Qin Mujiu many times before but at this moment, the one before him was his lawful wife.

He and she were no longer outsiders but husband and wife.

Xiao Mo extended the jade steelyard and slowly lifted Qin Siyaoʼs red veil.

As the red veil was slowly lifted, what entered Xiao Moʼs eyes was the womanʼs slender, fair neck.

Going up further was her snow-white chin then her tender, crimson lips, delicate nose, closed eyes, and long, curved eyelashes.

When the red veil was completely lifted, Qin Siyaoʼs countenance was perfectly and flawlessly displayed before Xiao Mo.

Xiao Mo was momentarily stunned.

Qin Siyao was already extremely beautiful, rarely seen in this world but now, wearing wedding garments and light makeup, she had lost some of her usual playfulness and gained some mature charm.

Her original purity overlapped with the red attire. The blush on her face became even more alluring under the red candlesʼ illumination.

The womanʼs shyness was also like pure wine, making one unable to resist taking a sip.

Tonight she was like a peony bud waiting to bloom, waiting for him to pluck it.

Qin Siyao slowly opened her eyes, looked at Xiao Mo shyly, then lowered her head bashfully. Her red lips parted slightly, her voice carrying nervousness. ”Your Majesty, please donʼt keep staring at this concubine... we should... we should drink the nuptial wine...”

”Indeed so.”

Xiao Mo came to his senses and nodded.

He put down the jade steelyard in his hand, poured two cups of wine, sat beside Qin Siyao, and passed over the wine cup in his hand.

Qin Siyao accepted the wine cup. Their arms intertwined, the wine cups passing through each otherʼs arm bends. Both could even feel the otherʼs breath.

After both drank the wine in their cups in one gulp, Qin Siyao lowered her beautiful face, her small hands gripping the hem of her skirt on her thighs, her voice carrying both nervousness and anticipation.

”Your Majesty... you should... you should blow out the candles...”
