We Agreed On Experiencing Life, So Why Did You Immortals Become Real?

Chapter 427: The Zhou Kingdomʼs National Preceptor is Actually Her?!

”...”

Hearing Siliʼs words, Xiao Mo couldnʼt help but stroke his chin.

Regarding this personal maid of his, Xiao Mo naturally knew she was either Empress Dowager Yanʼs spy or Yan Shanʼaoʼs spy.

As a puppet emperor, Xiao Mo could only accept this matter and turn a blind eye.

Otherwise, Empress Dowager Yan and Yan Shanʼao would say, ”Why does Your Majesty rebel?”

But what Xiao Mo hadnʼt expected was this.

This maid actually took the initiative to reveal this matter.

This was truly beyond Xiao Moʼs expectations.

As Siliʼs words fell, the bedchamber fell into complete silence.

Xiao Mo poured himself a cup of tea, took a light sip, and seriously pondered what the other partyʼs intentions could be.
Could this be some new scheme that Empress Dowager Yan or Yan Shanʼao had devised?

Putting down his teacup, Xiao Mo looked at this woman named ”Sili” and slowly said, ”Youʼre telling me this now, what do you mean by it? What do you mean the Empress Dowager is monitoring me? Although the Empress Dowager and I arenʼt birth mother and son, our relationship surpasses that of blood relatives. How could Mother Empress possibly have someone monitor me?”

”In reply to Your Majesty, this servant speaks only the truth. The Empress Dowager truly did have this servant monitor you.”

Sili knew Xiao Mo was pretending, but she acted as if she knew nothing and responded sincerely.

”Even if Mother Empress acted this way, so what? Setting aside whether I would kill you or not, if my Mother Empress knew about this matter, do you know what your fate would be?” Xiao Mo frowned.

”Sili naturally knows!” Sili said with a tense expression. ”But Your Majesty, this servant still cannot monitor Your Majesty for the Empress Dowager!”

”Your reason.” Xiao Mo looked at this palace maid with interest.

”This servantʼs father passed away early, and I was raised by my grandfather from a young age. My grandfather was the county magistrate of Jinjiang County, loyal to Great Zhou and loyal to the late emperor. Although this servantʼs family fell into decline, my grandfather always told this servant that the current Majesty is actually a wise ruler with great aspirations, but Great Zhou currently has treacherous ministers in power, and Your Majesty has no room to display your ambitions!”

“Grandfather also lamented several times that this servant wasnʼt born male and couldnʼt enter the court to assist Your Majesty, and finally died with this regret. However, women also have things women can do. Fortunately, this servant was able to enter the palace. Even if only as a palace maid, this servant dreamed of the day I could see Your Majesty and do things for Your Majesty. Grandfatherʼs spirit in heaven blessed me. This servant never expected to actually be selected as Your Majestyʼs personal maid. The Empress Dowager told this servant that if I could monitor Your Majesty for her, this servant would definitely gain a foothold in the inner palace in the future, at least becoming a Talented Lady.”

“To be able to stay by Your Majestyʼs side, this servant pretended to agree with the Empress Dowager. But no matter what, what this servant has done constitutes the crime of deceiving the sovereign. This servant begs Your Majesty to grant death! However, this servantʼs heart toward Your Majesty can be witnessed by heaven and earth, absolutely without any other intentions!”

Siliʼs voice echoed through the bedchamber, sounding extremely sincere.

Xiao Mo looked at the woman kneeling on the ground and fell into thought.

Regarding what she said, Xiao Mo was half-believing and half-doubting but what if everything she said was true, and she was truly loyal to him?

Then he could turn this around and have her serve as his spy with Empress Dowager Yan. This would be greatly beneficial for his future plans to seize power.

”Since you voluntarily revealed this matter, it doesnʼt count as deceiving the sovereign.” Xiao Mo put down his teacup and said slowly. ”I pardon your capital offense. Rise.”

”Thank you for Your Majestyʼs grace...”

Sili stood up, wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, and with her head lowered, looked extremely apprehensive.

”What you just said, I need to carefully consider. However, during these days, while youʼre by my side, do whatever you should do. You may withdraw for now.” Xiao Mo waved his hand.

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

Sili curtsied and withdrew from the bedchamber.

Closing the door and standing at the entrance to the bedchamber, the corners of Siliʼs mouth curved up slightly, completely unlike her previous apprehensive appearance.

”No rush, take it slowly... just take it slowly.”

Looking at the tightly closed door, Sili pressed her lips together, forcefully suppressing the impulse in her heart as she whispered softly.

Sili reached her hand inside her dress and untied the chest binding cloth that had been wrapped around her chest.

When Sili was selected as a palace maid earlier, although she had bribed the female official to let herself pass, she had also followed that female officialʼs requirements and wrapped these cloth strips around herself.

She feared that if her figure was too outstanding, the Empress Dowager might discover it and she would be driven out of the palace but now, there was no longer any need.

”Master...”

Siliʼs small hand pressed tightly against her rising and falling chest as she looked at the door and called out softly.

Her trembling eyes seemed like they could drip water.

The next day at the hour of chen.

Not long after Xiao Mo had awakened, he heard the sound of knocking.

”Your Majesty, this servant has brought hot water to attend to your washing up.”

Sili called out from outside the door.

”Come in.” Xiao Mo yawned and got down from the bed.

”Yes, Your Majesty.”

After Sili entered the room, she quickly placed the hot water on the table and first attended to helping Xiao Mo dress. However, as she was dressing him, Xiao Mo vaguely felt something wasnʼt quite right.

He kept feeling two mountains of soft flesh touching either his arm or his back.

Xiao Mo glanced sideways at Sili, and couldnʼt help but feel a trace of surprise in his heart.

Although she wore the same clothes as yesterday, compared to yesterday, why had her figure changed so much?

What kind of secret technique had she used? How could she change so drastically overnight?

Noticing Xiao Moʼs gaze, Sili lowered her beautiful face, her cheeks flushing slightly red as she said shyly, ”This servant heard before that the Empress Dowager requires newly entered palace maidsʼ figures and appearances not to be too good, so this servant has always used chest bindings. But over time, it was truly too stifling, and this servant also wanted to face Your Majesty honestly, so...”

The more she spoke, the lower Siliʼs voice became, her expression carrying an alluring charm. ”So this servant... removed those bindings. If Your Majesty finds it inappropriate, this servant will wrap them again.”

”No need.” Xiao Mo withdrew his gaze. ”For such small matters, you can decide yourself.”

”Yes, Your Majesty.” Sili nodded gently and continued helping Xiao Mo dress.

”Go prepare the carriage and horses. I need to go somewhere, and youʼll come with me.”

After changing clothes, Xiao Mo said indifferently.

”Yes.” Sili didnʼt ask further and quickly went to prepare the dragon carriage.

Two incense sticksʼ time later, the dragon carriage stopped.

Sili followed Xiao Mo down from the carriage and arrived before a palace gate.

Raising her head, Sili saw the three characters ”National Preceptorʼs Manor.”

Xiao Mo knocked on the door, ”Is Fairy Jiang present?”

No one answered from within the National Preceptorʼs Manor, but the main gate automatically opened.

Xiao Mo led Sili inside.

Sili looked left and right, examining this manor.

Soon, a woman wearing a veil walked out from a room.

Seeing this woman, Siliʼs eyes narrowed.

”The Zhou Kingdomʼs National Preceptor is actually her?!”

Sili couldnʼt help but clench her small hands, feeling as if facing a formidable enemy.

Jiang Qingyiʼs gaze also fell upon Sili, and her willow-leaf eyebrows couldnʼt help but furrow.
