I am the Ultimate Villain, So What If I Kill a Protagonist

249: Chapter 249 fulfills the final bond between master and disciple.Thinking about the impending final break with Ye Yun, Chu Yuan set Master Bai Mudan down, found a relatively clean spot for her, and helped her sit.

At this moment, she had no heart to think about anything else, let alone any joy at having escaped death.

Her eyes remained fixed in the direction of the mountain peak.

Her stunningly beautiful face seemed filled with a hint of worry.

She was worried that her disciple, Ye Yun, would meet with misfortune.

Although Ye Yun’s actions had left Master Bai Mudan completely disappointed.

After all, the two of them had ten years of master-disciple affection; how could she just let it go so easily?

Seeing the worried expression on her face, Chu Yuan reached out, took hold of the woman’s small hand, and softly comforted her:

”Rest assured, even someone like me who knows no martial arts was still able to carry you to safety.”

”Your useless disciple Ye Yun at least has some martial arts skills; even if he is extremely weak, he is still far better than a good-for-nothing scoundrel like me.”

”He will definitely escape from those Chimpanzees just like us.”

Chu Yuan said this, but he was already laughing internally.

Although they had run a long distance, the screams emitted by Ye Yun...

Even from such a great distance, both of them could hear them clearly.

Although Master Bai Mudan was physically weak and had exhausted her internal energy while healing Ye Yun, she still possessed formidable power.

With the strength of the Transcendent, her sensory perception was incredibly powerful.

How could she not discern the series of screams Ye Yun was emitting, filled with wailing and despair?

Especially when thinking back to what Chu Yuan had said to them in the Cave earlier.

A look of sorrow deepened on Master Bai Mudan’s pale face.

”Perhaps this is his fate; maybe for him, this is the best release.”

Master Bai Mudan had not expected this. When she was healing Ye Yun, both of them were injured, and combined with the excessive exertion of their internal energy, their physical strength was severely depleted, causing their power to be greatly diminished—to the point where they were worse off than an ordinary person.

The Chimpanzees living there had seized this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, suddenly attacking and catching them off guard.

That Chu Yuan was able to rescue her before the Chimpanzees could reach them was a stroke of luck amidst misfortune.

All of this could only be blamed on Ye Yun himself; perhaps this was Ye Yun’s fate.

He was destined for this calamity, and no matter how he tried to escape, it was inevitable.

Perhaps Ye Yun dying at the hands of these Chimpanzees was a good thing for him, a true release.

He would no longer have to live in this world, enduring countless sins and continuing to suffer.

”Mudan, since you are severely injured, what should we do now?”

Seeing the sigh that escaped Master Bai Mudan, Chu Yuan knew very well that although she sympathized with Ye Yun’s plight, at this very moment, she had already let go.

She had originally been extremely dissatisfied with her disciple Ye Yun, and her inner worry was merely because the two of them had ten years of master-disciple affection.

Moreover, the situation at the time had been far too sudden.

If not for the help of Chu Yuan, the scoundrel whom Ye Yun had always looked down upon, the extremely weak Master Bai Mudan would likely have fallen into the hands of those Chimpanzees, just like Ye Yun.

Master Bai Mudan had been in the mercenary life since childhood and had never really taken life to heart; her heart had become incredibly cold.

Regarding the matter of Ye Yun losing his life, Master Bai Mudan had long since come to terms with it.

Even when she learned that it was highly likely that Ye Yun had perished at the hands of these Chimpanzees,

Master Bai Mudan only felt a moment of sadness; she did not show any signs of being heartbroken.

”I am severely injured and physically exhausted, and I haven’t recovered my internal energy at all. For now, it is better to find a place to meditate and recover before we talk about anything else.”

”As for Ye Yun, regardless of everything, he is my, Master Bai Mudan’s, disciple. I must see him alive or see his corpse. Even if he has truly died at the hands of those Chimpanzees, I must find his remains and bury him.”

”Let it be the last thing I, as his master, can do for him.”

Being held by the hand by her own little man once again, Master Bai Mudan’s heart felt, more or less, a hint of shyness once more.

Upon hearing Chu Yuan ask about her next plans, she didn’t even think about it and laid out all her inner thoughts directly.

Clearly, Master Bai Mudan just wanted to quickly meditate and recover her strength before going to search for Ye Yun.

Her intention was good, but it was perhaps a bit too late.

Regardless of the outcome, Master Bai Mudan just wanted to go and see for herself to confirm Ye Yun’s situation.

After all, the two of them had ten years of master-disciple affection. At the critical moment of life and death, Master Bai Mudan could rationally let Chu Yuan take her to escape, disregarding Ye Yun’s life or death.

However, at this moment, she could not bring herself to truly disregard Ye Yun.

At the very least, she had to collect his remains; this could be considered the last thing she, as his master, could do for him.

”Good, as expected of my favorite Mudan. That useless Ye Yun is honored to have a master like you who cares about him.”

”Let’s rest here for the night. Once you recover some of your strength, I will accompany you to find him.”

Hearing that Master Bai Mudan still intended to go search for Ye Yun, Chu Yuan had no intention of stopping her; instead, he kept caressing her snow-white hands, nodding with a smile on his face.

The role Chu Yuan was playing was that of an unlearned scoundrel. After experiencing such ups and downs, it was inevitable for his emotions to be stirred.

At this moment, he didn’t forget to continue flirting with Master Bai Mudan.

Being held tightly by the hand by Chu Yuan, Master Bai Mudan’s heart, which had already felt a hint of shyness,

hearing this shameless guy once again treating her as his own.

Her pride flared up, and Master Bai Mudan immediately put on an appearance of being annoyed and embarrassed.

At this time, she was still worried about that useless disciple Ye Yun.

This thick-skinned scoundrel was actually starting to flirt with her; it was simply detestable to the extreme.

Even at such a critical moment of life and death, the other party still had the heart to provoke her; it made Master Bai Mudan so angry that she wanted to take action and beat this shameless scoundrel up.
